My wife is not a huge fan of tablets because she occasionally wants to do something a little more intensive than what most tablets manage effectively, but she also doesn't qualify as a power user. Web browsing, emails, videos, music and the occasional photo edit find their home really well on a MacBook. I do wish that the flash storage options were a little higher capacity for each model, but this is the world we live in. My main complaint is just the feel of the keyboard. I know this has been a point of many users. Although I don't hate it, it definitely has a different feel to it and takes some getting used to. If you need a long lasting, light, power efficient, beautiful piece of electronics for your personal computer, this is a good choice.

Excellent Apple build quality, although the keyboard really takes some getting accustomed to because of the very short key travel. The screen looks great, and the speakers are simply amazing for a laptop. It really needs a second USB-C port; it is a joke that for this much money you cannot both charge your laptop and be plugged into a peripheral at the same time (you will need a more expensive adapter to accomplish this). The overall price is also a bit hard to swallow - most windows and new Chromebooks coming out with this Intel Core m3 processor and similar screen resolution can be had for $600-700 less.

I really loved my MacBook. It's super lightweight. Doesn't have an HD camera but it's does have Retina display.

Had an older MacBook for eight years but it finally died. Replaced with cool gold MacBook. Fast and light, so if you don't do much except photoshop, listen to music and go on the internet, this is a good computer.

Bought this for my wife. She loves it perfect size. This is now the fastest computer in the house. I am jealous.

I bought my 2016 MacBook for college and I couldn't be happier! I have always used apple products so it makes it very convinent to start or finish my work on either my MacBook or iPad Air! However as much as I thought my iPad Air was a substitute for a laptop I was mistaken since I've had my MacBook I realize nothing takes Could take the place of it. Very happy with this purchase I recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable computer for college! Great buy!

Very thin and lightweight, so it's covenient for someone always on the go. Great features, keyboard and trackpad.

It works great. It has the same footprint as a sheet of paper, so it transports quite easily. Instant on and updates easily compared to a Microsoft Windows laptop. Screen is super sharp. Screen mirrors on my Apple TV so it's like I have a giant monitor when I need one, especially when watching movies and documentaries from the computer. We also have a 13" MacBook Pro in the family that has a larger keyboard, so switching to the MacBook takes getting used to.

This laptop runs fast and looks beautiful. However, there are no typical usb or hdmi ports. The port is now a USB-C, and you will have to buy an adapter separately if you plan to use the port with other cords.
