I love the lightweight design and the crisp colored screen. The one c-port takes some getting used to but change is what apple is all about.

I got this laptop for a really good sale price through Best Buy. It is a good refresh of the original 2015 MacBook. The battery life is great, I like the keyboard, and as always the trackpad is phenomenal compared to the competition. Although the build is very high quality, it still feels very fragile to me because the laptop is so thin- I am worried I will drop it because of the soft aluminum texture, there is nothing to really grip onto. In terms of performance, it is obviously not the speediest computer but it has saved its purpose very well for my day-to-day needs which include working with multiple browser tabs, document editing, working with spreadsheets, and photo editing. For anyone who owns an iPhone, but does not have any kind of mac computer, the number one selling point for this was the iCloud account integration. I can use iMessage/SMS/facetime through my mac, and all of my email, calendars, etc. are all there as soon as I sign in. I especially like the continuity for opening websites and such on my phone or iPad, and then I can just open them up on my mac- the fact that it is SO seamless makes it so much easier to get my work done, or if I see something I really like on my phone, I can easily access it on my computer (because there have been so many times I see something on my phone that is a great idea I could use later, but then I forget about it later). While you can technically recreate all of these features with Android/Windows/Linux hardware and software, it takes a lot of configuration and Apple does it all for you out of the box!

Pros: Ultra compact - only 2lbs. A pound lighter than my 13" Mac but it does make a difference when traveling! Fast enough to handle everything I need. Cons: No USB. If you want to use a jumpdrive or do anything except just charge - you have to buy an adapter.

Needed a MacOS laptop to do email and write docs on. This is perfect in terms of size and weight. However, it requires that you buy into the USB-C world - had to get new accessories for hooking up external monitor and charging phone. Wish it shipped with them.

This is the first Mac I have owned, and I love it-the lightness, ease of use, touch of the keyboard (which is very different from my PC), and that it is completely quiet, which is one of the main reasons for the purchase, as I use it while recording.

Love my new MacBook. I've been wanting one since they remodeled them and put the new keyboards on them. Types great and now I can work away from my desk. Was tired of being stuck at home with my iMac. No complaints. Got it in gold to match my phone and my watch. I'm a nerd, what can I say? Purchasing was easy from Best Buy. I ordered it online and did the store pick up. I also ordered another item so all I did was go in the store and asked where to pick up and they directed me to the counter. I didn't have to wait in line, they had it on the shelf with my name on it. Showed my card and ID and signed for it and I was on my way. So easy. I could have ordered straight from Apple but the store didn't have the color I wanted in stock so I'd have to wait weeks before I could get it. Best Buy had big variety in stock.

Perfect size. Super lightweight. Does everything I need it to do!

I'm a third year college student and this computer has been perfect for me. I've had it for almost a month now and have run into NO issues with it whatsoever. I was initially a little apprehensive about the lack of ports on the MacBook - but I've found that it's mostly a non-issue. I don't use a wireless mouse and I don't use flash drives very often, and if I do need to use one I have a relatively inexpensive adapter to fix that problem. I had read a number of reviews that mentioned issues with the keyboard because of the reduced vertical travel space, but I also found this to be a non-issue. After using the computer for about a week I was entirely accustomed to the Butterfly keyboard and I now prefer it to the previous Mac keyboards. Overall, this was a fantastic purchase.

The new MacBook is light, fast, and perfect for my needs on the go. Had an Air, and prefer the new one. Only downside is the lack of ports, but I really only needed the USB adapter and I was set. Typical high quality Apple product.

l love, love, love this laptop,,,, did some shopping comparison before i bought this cutie @ BEST BUY had the BEST price over all,, the sales associate was very knowledgable and was a pleasure to deal with-- I also bought the adapter to use with usb -- Apple Store could not compete, they wouldn't even price match the advertised price,,, I would recommend this Macbook to anyone looking for portability, speed and the retina display is fabulous-- coming from a 2013 macbook air i i am not disappointed at all--overall great quality mac,,,and i must say great looking in the rose gold A****** very pleased with it and BEST BUY ROCKS!

It is very light. Convenient for a working person in Manhattan that is traveling to school in Jersey. The laptop is fast and powerful. This would definitely help me in grad school presentations, homeworks, and readings.

The size, fit, finish, and form factor of this computer is amazing. I have no problem editing video in Final Cut Pro or using Illustrator. Only thing that has been a minor issue is the one port, but it is easily worked around.

I bought this Macbook specifically for the size. I never wanted anything this small and initially wanted the 15". I have t he 13" MBP with the optical drive which still works fine but it's a bit on the heavy side at 5lbs (remember when that was small?). And I am taking an international trip where I need a laptop, hence, the interest in this. It is great in that it is very light, and small and fits easily in a carry-on without adding bulk or making it too heavy to carry. I haven't gone on the trip yet but it will serve its purpose. I am not thrilled that it is an M3 processor and did get this $350 off for $950. Still, it's a lot of money to me for something that isn't a powerhouse. But since this isn't my main computer, I can't justify spending the extra on the m7 processor. Also the new MacBooks will be launched soon so that's why these are all going on sale. If you want to do creative work like music, video editing and photography, I recommend getting one of the Macbook Pro's.

I previously owned a 2011 model Mac Air. I wanted an upgrade and settled on this lovely laptop. I love the screen size, keyboard and weight. I recently took laptop overseas and it was a pleasure to carry around.

This computer is great! I purchased it for school and it serves me well. The battery life is great and it's very light which is a plus, especially when you're a student hauling around large textbooks. Also, I switched over from a PC and it was pretty easy adjusting to Apple. The only downside is that there's no USB port, so you'll have to purchase an adapter

There may not be an enormous upgrade from the first generation, but I held on till this second gen came out. My previous travel laptop was a MacBook Air 11-inch, but this MacBook's screen resolution is so much better, has longer battery life than my Air, and is lighter. Friends of mine who bought the original MacBook don't like the keyboard, but the keyboard doesn't bother me, maybe because I don't have to type a lot. Very pleased!
