Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Macbook®'s lightweight design, impressive portability, and its compact size. Many appreciate the long battery life and the smooth performance. While some find the limited number of ports and the single USB-C port inconvenient, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these concerns for most users.

The MacBook was exactly what I had hoped it was... fast, quality and light as a feather. It makes my 2017 MacBook Pro seem heavy by comparison. BestBuy was the right place to buy it to as I got it for a great deal.

I bought this computer for my wife who is currently going to nursing school. In comparison to her previous laptop this one is much more portable and user friendly. The processing speed on this version (M5) is really good and it's really nice to a a generous (512GB) hard drive for storage. I would highly recommend this MacBook to any student!

So I purchased this because I gave my previous MacBook Pro 13 inch to my brother heading to graduate school. That meant I didn't have a personal laptop anymore leaving me with my custom desktop and my work Lenovo laptop (720p screen.... painful to look at. Come on it's 2016 people). So I was in the market for a new computer. Deep down I really wanted a Mac again but wanted to try something different and not buy the EXACT same computer. So I went with this option with the Intel M5 chip... I loved this laptop and the M5 chip kept up easily while doing tasks such as surfing web, streaming, and working through office. I did slowly slightly when working with large Excel spreadsheets, but that was expected. I also couldn't find an IDE I liked without having to run parallels on it. Once I realized I only used it for web and email, while I did the more processor demanding task on my desktop... I knew it wasn't for me when I only went to grab it for simple email and web surfing. I also realized it was essentially a fancy expensive iPad for over triple the price... For the money I spent I also wanted the horsepower found at that price point since I didn't travel a lot. I ended my search with the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro..... haven't looked back since. Especially since I got a LOT MORE for a little bit less than what I paid for the Mac. If you travel a lot or just need it for simple productivity programs and streaming. The screen is beautiful and when its in your bag you can hardly tell due to how lightweight it was.

I could no longer resist especially with sales Best Buy/Apple had at the time. Very light weight, speedy processing, and breeze to setup. Battery life has been great with all tasks performed. The retina screen is exceptional, and speakers are phenomenal sounding for there size. I have awesome space grey color, and also purchased a separate adapter to aid with multitasking when needed. Overall I'm very, very pleased with it's performance, styling, and one heck of a sales price deal.

Very happy with purchase. Product is just what I expected. Very high quality display and very light weight. Only regret is that it does not have 16MB memory. But that is not holding me back.

I recently enrolled in computer science graduate program, my old computer is too heavy so I need a lighter one. This MacBook is a perfect match. It's light and thin, yet powerful.

Stylish, lightweight, and powerful. Yes all in one. It is a device that you might want to have if you just do basic internet browsing, office applications use. While doing all these, it does not get slowed down. It is easy to carry it with you in your purse, backpack with you other stuff. I highly recommend to buy 512 GB one even though there is a huge price gap between two versions. 256 GB one will not be enough after several months.

I honestly love my computer. So far it has been wonderful. I've had no problems what so ever. The battery life is amazing, awesome picture quality, and great speed. I would recommend the MacBook to anyone. Yes it's pricey but it's 100% worth it. The only thing that is kind of a downfall is that there's only a USB-c port and a headphone port so, you'd have to buy a USB-c converter. But other than that there's no other downfalls

What I initially thought was too small a MacBook has turned out to be the perfect size for my needs. Keyboard takes a little getting used to, but once you're acclimated it's a breeze. Lots of power in a small package, easily potable and an all-around great value at Best Buy's sale price...! I definitely recommend this for those looking for a lot in a compact, lightweight and easy to carry MacBook.

I bought the 512 GB space grey version. It sized just right to be ultra portable yet good for every day use. The screen is very nice and the battery life is pretty good. I use it for some light Photoshop work every now and then and have no trouble. It's great for playing videos on and the speakers are just fine for personal use. Flash storage is so quick and make startup times seconds instead of minutes.

This computer is great. It's a bit more of a workhorse than I was expecting, especially at the low price point. My main concern is its lack of inputs or outputs. Everything is filtered through one port, which requires the consumer to buy additional floppy accessories that add unnecessary cluster to your setup. The tradeoff is that you get the ultra-slim body (the slimmest in Mac history, I believe) and a fast SSD. I'd recommend it.

I’ve been a Mac user for many years, so I am already a little biased towards Apple. My previous laptop was an older MacBook Pro. I decided to go with a MacBook this time because I rarely use the extra ports and features you find in a Pro. I generally use my computer to use the internet, play video games, listen to music, watch movies and TV, Quicken, word processing (I still like Microsoft Office the best), and stuff like that. This MacBook has more than enough power to handle all that. It’s small. This is so nice because it’s easy to carry everywhere I go. It feels very sturdy and I’ve used it a lot in the past couple months. My last mac died suddenly (it was six years old) but I had been regularly using Time Machine to back it up. When I set up this MacBook I just used my Time Machine backup. It worked perfectly. I didn’t lose any data. I loved my old MacBook Pro, but after about two days of using this MacBook, I forgot about that old mac. This thing is awesome. The keyboard took some getting used to, but I can type really fast on it now that my fingers have adjusted to it. I had to buy a dongle to use all my devices that I plug into my computer. This didn’t bother me too much since I usually only use those devices when I’m at home, so it was a worthy sacrifice for the small size of this computer. If you want a small portable computer, I can’t think of anything better than this MacBook.

Beautiful looking product. Battery life is amazing. Lacks ports and processor power. But if you’re looking for something small, portable, functional, and don’t care about computing power or gaming. This will definitely work for you, especially if style matters.
