I have used Macbooks for a long time, so when I finally decided to upgrade, I knew I needed to stick with Apple. This is the thinnest, sleekest, and lightest laptop ever! And it also helps that it's a very powerful laptop. The portability is the biggest reason why I chose this Macbook over the Pro.

I really like the size and the color (gold). The weight is just perfect can fit most of my bags without hurting me anyhow. The keyboard if soft and you don't feel like typing it just flow. The security part of the product is what really push me to buy it. Now, I am in trouble because one of my best friends desires it. I. Overall, I advice each student to go for it!

Purchased for my daughter to go off to college. Lightweight enough to carry to classes for note taking and pretty much anywhere.

Love this MacBook. Owned a 2010 Pro and upgraded to this wonderful machine. Light, fast, and sleek. Don't sit on it as it's about as thick as a slice of ham.

It's very light, good battery. Small, easy to carry around, fits great in the tote bag. Good for everyday use.

For users looking for speed and portability, this is the perfect compromise. I don't really even miss the extra ports. I did purchase the Griffin Break-safe cable to retain the protection that the MagSafe power adapter offfered (since that is no longer the charging cable for this generation of MacBooks)

Just like the title, it's really easy to carry, so cute and the most important is that it's so easy to use.

Very lightweight. Still expensive even at a 250$ discount. Great retina display. Battery life is very good. Track pad is quite different from previous macbooks. Can be very sensitive and click when you don't want it to... Does take getting used to. But very powerful for Photoshop and video editing too.

The new Macbook is sleek, lightweight, and beautiful. But those attributes come with a price- No way to directly add peripherals. You must add a USB port (via a USB-C to USB adapter). There are no regular USB ports or any other external ports besides a headphone jack and the one USB-C port. If you are looking for a completely wireless experience, this computer is as fast as it is beautiful, and it matches the Rose Gold iPhone and Dr. Dre Beats if you are trying to be fashionable!

This laptop has an excellent screen, runs cool, and the battery lasts just over 10 hours with the screen dimmed to 25%. There are no moving parts and this laptop is powerful enough to handle most applications without slowing down.

Was cautious about possible poor performance - I have 60 gig of photos - but performance is fine, and the light touch keyboard is easy to use and type quickly. Only issue is that the touchpad is up against the spacebar and bottom keyboard keys and is easily touched resulting in the cursor moving somewhere else onto the screen. I simply turn is off and use an apple mouse instead...I much prefer it to a Microsoft machine and Windows.

With the laptop being so small, it was expected to have a lack in some normal computer ports. This one, however, has only one USB-C port and one aux input. It's okay, there are adapters to work around this and the portability is a really nice change from my 15" MacBook Pro. The m5 is still powerful enough to handle all of the Adobe Creative Suite programs, and running a Virtual Box.

I've had one of these new Macbooks for a while, and decided to purchase another one for a friend because it's so great to carry. We are both college students and portability is of utmost importance. It can handle all basic-to-intermediate tasks thrown at it, especially with the m5 processor. I've even managed to do light video editing on this. Add to that the $400 price reduction I got it at, and it makes for a fantastic deal!

It's smaller then my previous MacBook and I like that. The display is beautiful and I like the way the keyboard feels. My only delimma is that there is only one port for anything so you have to buy an external adapter if you want to use a jump drive or an hdmi cord. Other the. That it's great!

A beautifully stylish Mac laptop with very low weight and thin form factor. It's fast enough to perform flawlessly during routine computing (surfing the web, editing and creating documents, watching videos). This is my go-to laptop when mobility and long battery life are essential.
