Incredibly light and small, really powerful. Wanted a light laptop for my son, and found this on sale at Best Buy.

I purchased this laptop as a computer for my son who is starting college. It is amazingly thin and light, and compared to our older macbook pro, the computer is very fast. We also like the resolution of the monitor. The keyboard definitely takes a bit to get used to, but it was not a significant hurdle to overcome. Its best attributes are its speed, footprint, lightness, and reliability (based on experience with 4 previous mac computers).

Pretty fast and reliable laptop. Perfect for travel, light and small. I like the retina display and got used very fast to the keyboard (coming from a Lenovo). Overall a great laptop.

This is my first Mac and I am in love. I have used Dell, Acer, and a Samsumg Galaxy in the past. I wanted a full computer not a tablet and something I could use while laying in bed. This is just perfect. It is so light but very sturdy. It was so easy to get used to. I felt like I was not getting everything I could out of my other one because I was not comfortable with Windows 10. Now I have a computer that is so easy to use and I can do everything with it.

I purchased this for my high school daughter. I is the perfect size and of course the perfect color. She uses this for homework, facetime and streaming movies and songs.Excellent.

Great Retina Display. Battery Life. Stylish design. Sounds great! Except only has one USB-C port.

I was skeptical about the performance, but after migrating my MacBook pro this computer runs everything from AUTOCAD on parallels to any mac based software flawlessly and better than my former MacBook pro that had 16G of memory. The SSD is very quick. The 8G memory and 512G SSD work great. The size cannot be beat in tight quarters like the back of a plane. I have had a mac for more than 20 years this is the best yet for me.

I wanted to buy a MacBook that was lighter than the MacBook Pro (2014) I have. This MacBook works great when traveling and when needing to work on the go. Very satisfied.

I spent a lot of time reviewing all the different options to replace my daughters older MacBook. This particular mode is not as powerful on paper as the older MacBook Pros but do not be fooled. It performs very very well. The best thing is how light it is. She is able to carry it a lot easier than the older MacBook Pro and has not complained of her back hurting anymore. I am definitely more than satisfied with this MacBook.

The newest MacBooks are triumphs in form but lack a bit in regards to function. Incredibly beautiful, completely passive cooling (no noise from fans, reduced thickness), a fantastic keyboard and a brilliant screen. These are all very strong wins. What killed this for me though was the lack of input/output options. The singular USB C port just wasn't enough for how I utilize my laptops. I found myself swapping the Apple power cord for my adapter equipped cables far too often. I probably would've kept the MacBook if it had another USB C port on the right side...so my fix was to go and buy a 13" MacBook Pro...problem solved! Lesson learned. The moral of the story? Use Apple's 24 month financing, buy a MacBook Pro, and only slightly regret wasting your time with the standard MacBook.

It's a very nice piece of hardware. Small, light, very well built, good lighted keyboard, excellent display, decent performance on the M5 processor, and great battery life. The only complaint is it only has ONE port, a USB Type-C. An adapter is a mandatory additional purchase, either the Apple or Dell adapter. This is my first venture into the world of MAC. Once I learn how to use it I'll probably like it even better.

Its an apple. Great built quality. Feather weight. Works period!! Speaker is loud for its size. Keyboard for this generation does not really feel any different than the most recent one and its a compromise you make for the thin size. It takes a bit of getting used to, to the keyboard and lack of usb ports but for the portability and convenience of being able to carry it every where its a great buy.

the only thing I do not care for on this mac is that where I place my thumbs, there is no 'space' there, so when I lay my thumb down, it ends up 'clicking'. I turned off the tap option (which I love) and now I have to click. Other than that, I love the travelability of it.

Purchased last years model with great price reduction. This laptop works great for me, plenty of power with very good battery life. Would purchase again.

I've had an Apple MacBook Pro for 5-6 years.. I wanted small, portable, powerful... This MacBook has it all. I have noticed NO power issues and I've been exclusively a pro user. Ps, I left the Apple Store to buy at BEST BUY.

Just bought this mac and i realized the difference. Fast, elegant and compact.

The size is perfect for my fiancé. Has all the power and space she could need and all the reliability that comes with an Apple / Mac laptop.
