My 10 year old son wanted a macbook for Christmas so i decided to get him a preowned one to start off to see how he handles it and when we received the macbook air in mail it looked brand new! Must say this was a great purchase! Im glad i found this macbook and i hope he enjoys it!

I absolutely love this laptop as a MacBook Air user for 7 years I would say it’s very good laptop. My only complaint that I would have is that is not so great for designers to use such as downloading apps like photoshop and illustrator that need a large enough storage capacity to download because it takes a long time. The battery life not so great, it runs out of battery pretty quickly. It makes a lot of fan noise, heats up a lot, and since it’s so thin make sure you put a good protective case but it does not breaks the screen no matter how many times it falls the protectiveness duration is great, it does scratch easily. I love how the mouse is light weight and thin it is, and love using the mouse and the way it glides is so soft.Would definitely recommend to a friend or a high school student.

Purchased this MacBook preowened for my son and it was a win. It looked brand new. I am assuming the cheaper you go with purchasing a preowned Macbook, the more cosmetic damage and older the model is. His had no cosmetic damage and has been functional so far with no issues or glitches. Overall happy with my purchase and will come back with an update in a few months. I read reviews that were horrible in regards to preowned items but I did not have an issue. Please understand preowned is different from the open box and refurbished items as well. I was told by a technician these are the Macbook traded in for upgrades and if there is no issue the check them out, clean them up and sell them for fair market value.

First and last time making a big pre-owned purchase through Best Buy and not Amazon like usual. Purchased for 12 year old girl, the motherboard has blown out almost exactly after one year of use. After she came to me she also reported having some issues before. At least for big stuff like this, you're better off buying new, at least when it comes to Best Buy. The repair cost is 350$, literally higher than buying a new one at this point. Don't buy it, it isn't going to last. My 2015 Macbook still works great, this is not a problem with the hardware, Best Buy clearly doesn't vet their pre-owned devices.
