It's an Apple Product - Great MacBook

I have all the entire MacBook line up from Apple Inc. and I think the 256GB with 4GB of RAM MacBook Air is the best well rounded MacBook with a reasonable price. It performs well and the battery is noticeably amazing when compared to the other MacBooks, especially since I do not like charging my devices. It's extremely lightweight and portable as well to carry around in bag or just by itself. I rated this product a four (4) out of five (5) stars only because I was disappointed that Apple did not offer the MacBook Air with a retina display and did not make the RAM a standard of 8GB versus the 4GB of RAM that it came stocked with.

I was in the market for a new laptop because my current one is getting ready to crash. I needed a laptop to get me through law school and beyond, and in my research Macbook Pro and Macbook Air came up over and over again. I eventually settled on the Air because weight is going to be important as I haul this thing from class to class.
So far, I'm really enjoying it. When I booted it up the first time it walked me through a process to transfer everything from my PC via wifi. It took several hours but it did all the work. I'm also impressed by how fast it boots up. It may be that my standards are really low from working on a slowly dying PC for the past year, but it's nice to hit the power button and be working in less than a minute.
One of the trade-offs to it being so light, however, is that there aren't many ports and no DVD drive. I don't think I'll miss the DVD drive too much, but it has no ethernet or VGA port. I know I'll need an ethernet port at my school from time to time, so I have to purchase an adapter that connects to either the USB or Thunderbolt, and I'll probably do the same for the VGA since using a second monitor can be really helpful. These adapters cost $30-$100 depending on the specifics.
The other slight annoyance is that the delete key is actually a backspace key (meaning it deletes things to the left), and there is no longer a true delete key (that deletes things to the right). It sounds stupid, but I never realized how much I used the delete key until I no longer had it.

I went through a brief tutorial in the store with the in store rep and found the speed and ease of use was fantastic. The graphics are phenomenal, it is lightning fast and everyone I know who has had macbooks have kept them for years without any problems. Very simple to use and microsoft office will work on it.

Apple does not disappoint with MacBook Air. I purchased the 13.3 display and very pleased with the size and lightness of the computer. Performance is very good as well as being sleek. Cant go wrong with the quality and dependability of the MacBook Air. Especially if you are looking for a light laptop.

I bought this to replace my 2011 Macbook Pro. Very satisfied with its performance so far. Definitely not a computer that's meant for gaming, but works perfectly for everyday use. I appreciate how much thinner and lighter it is than the other options - so convenient to travel with.

I was hesitant to purchase a laptop without a DVD/CD drive and with a smaller screen, but so far it's not a problem. I love that it's so lightweight and the battery lasts a long time. Also, I can actually set it on my lap without it getting hot. I wish I would have gotten a larger hard drive. When I went to transfer all my files from my old MacBook Pro to this new machine, I didn't have enough memory and had to omit a lot of larger files, like videos and old PowerPoint presentations. Sometimes the machine feels a little slower than I would have liked, but for most of the things I do, it's fine. I like having the 2 USB ports on opposite sides. It's a bummer that my old power cord doesn't work with it. I don't like the iMovie 10.1 that it came with. Very buggy and not as user-friendly as previous versions. I am running Yosemite (10.10.5). I have not upgraded to El Capitan. Maybe that would help. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

I was a PC all the way guy. But I needed something that was had a good size screen, but portable. This meets that need and I have had little problem with making the change to a Mac. The start up time and battery life is awesome. Overall great performance.

I have been a Mac computer user/owner for over ten years. Everyone has their own opinions for different reasons regarding computers. I go with what works and what I learn from experience. From video editing to Internet browsing...I've never used a computer with a more consistent experience. Built well, easy to use and incredibly powerful all around. You are going to spend a little bit more for a shiny new Mac, but I've always believed that you get what you pay for. Apple will always get my money. My entire family of pc users and all of my friends didn't convert for nothing.

I am absolutely in love with my MacBook Air. I haven't been able to explain to anyone why, I just am. I am using it for college. I am currently taking 4 classes and it has done everything I have asked of it. Pages load quickly, it's very user friendly and honestly just feels very well made. I switched from a PC to a Mac and I will never go back. I did put Office on it because of school and it has only failed me once. You cannot make a PowerPoint presentation into a movie. For whatever reason, MS didn't put that on the Mac version of Office. Hopefully that will change.

Having mentally decided what my wife’s Christmas present would be (the main one!), we stopped into BestBuy to make a return, and I casually walked her over to the Apple section. As she picked up this MacBook and that MacBook she commented “This one would be perfect for me!” as she held the MacBook Air with a 13.3 Display, when I said “It’s yours!” you should’ve seen her face! For her needs 4GB with 256GB Flash Storage is all that’s needed, and after discounts for an open box, and a little of this & that, I spent the $300 saved on Apple Care. This open box item was “new” to us, and of course it was a breeze to set up, just like every Apple product we own. This is the first MacBook in our house, the slim light weight of it takes some getting used to after using notebooks for years, and I suspect that this won’t be the last MacBook purchase we make.

The speed at which this computer can open and switch through programs amazes me so much. The battery life was better than I expected, on par with other reviews online. This laptop feels really smooth (functionality) in comparison to its competitors.

Light weight and great for mobile applications. Has all the horse power needed. The 13 inch screen is a must after using the iPad mini. Had a problem with a USB port but Best Buy took care of us with spectacular service.
