Spend some time and energy to do what needs to be done and put resources into a Mac as they are somewhat expensive. I am glad to the point that I did however! I absolutely love this computer. It's so lightweight and the battery keeps going an entire day so I don't need to drag a charger around with me. Mac is the best thing to take with you to class, work or the neighborhood cafe. I got this Mac from Best Buy and they gave me a student discount of $150 off on my purchase, which was astonishing. I would recommend this computer to anyone. I am absolutely loving it.

I’ve had many years of experience with Apple products because of having used and owned iPhones for the last 10 years. I was hesitant to purchase MacBook Air because my home computer of a different brand and processor I figured would subdue. But I am so glad I went through with my purchase it’s the best decision yet! I love that my iPhone and computer are in sync to one another and the MacBook Air is easy to transition into learning and stays updated with most recent IOS versions as my iPhone does. So many great perks I’ve realized now owning my MacBook Air!

The main board died after a year and 2 months, just out of warranty and the "genius bar" says it would be $450 to fix it. Or, it could be the battery for another $150. Suuuurrreee Apple. I really hate that you cannot simple order parts and replace like other computers. Apple deliberately solders them together so they all must be replaced at a huge cost and you also cannot replace your own battery or the thing will explode. Ridiculous. Will never buy another Apple product.

    Great Laptop For Many Uses

I was very hesitant at first to pick up the MacBook Air. I feel like there is a lot of negative press around the MacBook in the video game community. That all melted away when I began to play my favorite games on the Mac. My computer was not only smoother when playing the games, but much quicker. Playing a game with someone on the same WiFi network, I was able to stay ahead 90% of the time. I also love the way that Macs interface is set up. I find it very useful for schoolwork. That’s why I wanted a laptop, to play games and do schoolwork all in one and I am not disappointed.

    Seriously Outdated

The Macbook Air 13 provides exceptional battery life, a speedy ssd and that is about it. The design of this laptop hasn't been touched since 2010. It has old ports, an outdated processor and the screen is offensively bad quality/viewing angles for a $1000 laptop. If Apple would simply, simply add a FHD display with IPS and update to an 8th gen processor, this computer would be acceptable. In addition, if Apple added USB C/Thunderbolt 3 support, this computer would be unstoppable and fly off the shelves.

    Disappointed expected more from Apple

MacBook Air disappointed and did not meet expectations. 128MB is a joke, not sure why it it sold this way. I found the screen resolution lacking and fonts too small. When I reduced the resolution to increase font size the computer wasn’t crisp and lacked definition. I also could not believe how little storage is on this computer for the price. I really wanted to like it, fits nicely with all my other Apple stuff but it cannot replace my current Apple computer. I am very unhappy with this purchase and will be returning it. Old internals, poor monitor, no storage all at an Apple premium price. Not impressed at all

I love the OS system I just can’t do windows it’s too complex for me with all the viruses and all the applications it just takes a lot of work it’s always lagging. mac is completely opposite of that very simple interface very simple to use I was skeptical about getting the air Just because it is outdated and they will not be producing anymore soon but it’s an awesome buy is totally worth the money it’s not worth spending more money on anything more expensive that you’re not going to use on an every day basis this is the perfect computer for sending emails browsing the web using Word and PowerPoint and Photoshop as well and imovie

It's cute, compact, portable, lightweight, and SUPER fast. I have other computers and I used to think they were slow because of the wifi, but this laptop has proved me wrong. It's also very lightweight so I can keep it in my backpack and it doesn't hurt like other bulky Dell laptops do. The battery life is also stunning, I love it so much! I charge it all night and it's ready to go and can be used ALL. DAY. The charger and laptop came with a manual and everything was BRAND. NEW. I love it. I also saved quite a bit of money by buying it onbeatbuy instead of Apple directly. With the money I saved, I was able to buy a cute hardshell case AND a laptop sleeve. Great deal!!

This computer has been phenomenal. This is my first apple product for a PC so there was a very large learning curve, but I’m getting better. It is easy to use once you figure out al the features. Battery life is incredible, fast charging. Having other apple products as well as this is great transferring media and files between devices or having all connected under the same iCloud account where all files are accessible from all connected devices. If you need a reliable, somewhat easy to use PC,l for whatever you need, this is definitely the one!

Granted, this is all entirely personal preference, I feel that the macbook eliminates all of the problems i’ve had with the Windows os, and the ios is, in my mind, much more user friendly and cooperative for what I do. I’m no gamer or anything, but the only handful of games I play (those being League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and other mid quality graphic’d, top down style MMO’s) run beautifully, and the Logic Pro X interface works like magic. All I use my laptop for is light gaming, streaming, research and subsequent writing, and soft sound mixing, and the Macbook handles all of these in spades.

I have been a PC since user for over 15 years. Believe me when I tell you can't go wrong with a MacBook Air. The battery life is MUCH longer than most PC laptops. It's thinner and more portable. You don't have to individually update drivers. It's not vulnerable to viruses. The magnetic charger is a PLUS. It boots up in few seconds from start to finish. The trackpad is wider and most simple to use. Even though it does not have a Retina display, the battery life covers it. I didn't notice a difference without Retina display. My final point is DO NOT buy a laptop only based on specs. Buy it based on battery life, weight, portability, features, and design.

I was in the market for a lighter alternative to my previous MacBook Pro, and decided on the MacBookAir. I am not a tech. person so I'll keep this short. The computer works as expected, I only wish I new the track pad functions differently than that of the MacBookPro. I was able to get an additional $150 off (Currently a student) which helped keep cost low, if I recall correctly the total price after taxes was something like $850. I am also not concerned with the limited space since I store most of my school files on google docs. If your a student on a budget, this is a good choice.

I was choosing between purchase iPad or MacBook Air and I was really about to get iPad, but when I saw MacBook Air on a sale for 699 I've just got it immediately and postponed with purchasing iPad. I love it. It works fast, it's very light and comfortable to use and carry. It still have old style USB 3.0 ports (I want to move to USB-C but I'll have to change all my cables to do that. one day). And time of working is fantastic. I don't need to carry charger with me if I want to go somewhere like I did with Windows laptop. And it's a perfect time to go outside, sit down, enjoy the weather and continue working.

Overall I am happy with the BestBuy purchase experience. I got a Black Friday Doorbuster Deal price on the AirBook and saved $200 of the normal retail price. Glad I jumped on it, as later in the day, it was sold out. My daughter so far loves her new laptop. We bought this for her to use at college since she's not really tech saavy and she wanted a reliable laptop. Trusting Apple's reliability here so I hope that it lasts through the next 4-5 years. If I had one complaint, it's that the UPS Driver left it on the porch and didn't even knock on the door. Luckily I found it before leaving out of the house as I was on the lookout for it.

This was purchased for an elderly relative. She wanted something easy to operate with a decent keyboard. This MacBook Air had the keyboard action that she preferred. It was relatively easy to teach her the basics of the operating system. I wish the programs could be defaulted to open up to full screen, and larger text would be helpful. Set up wasn't too difficult, although it was pretty involved. The laptop seems to be very well built and sturdy. I thought it was rather difficult to get the MacBook Air to pair with our printers. I wasn't able to get it to work with the Kyocera printer in the office.

I wanted a simple easy to use laptop, to check mail, read news, play a game or two, store recipes, do research, and perhaps to write a journal or even a book. I didn't want to spend a lot, but my husband kept insisting that I get the MacBook. I refused bought a less expensive one, and from the beginning, literally from initial setup which took over an hour and half it was a disappointment. Next day it wasn't responding. Returned it and bought the MacBook and not one glitch, problem or failure. I have been using it for over a month now and I am so glad my husband was insistent and right!

I got my MacBook Air to take notes and write papers for college. It is lightweight, the perfect size, and holds a decent charge throughout a 3 hour lecture. The processing is quick, the fan is not loud at all, the only time it is loud or gets very hot is when I’m playing a game like Sims 4 on it, but that’s to be expected for it not being a laptop meant for gaming. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I highly recommend it for students.

Stable OS, very nice hardware. However, Apple made the inexplicable decision to remove magsafe-2, HDMI, and Thunderbolt ports and replace them with two USB-3 C ports, forcing the user to buy adapters to connect their existing hardware. I used a single adaper to connect power, HDMI and a USB joystick mouse. After about 20 days the port stopped working. Luckily I was able to replace the Mac with a new one at Best Buy. I have learned my lesson and now I use one USB port solely for power, and the other for monitor and mouse. So far it has worked, but I will give Apple a 'D' for the decision to nix all useful ports.

I've been a long-time fan of the Macbook Pro line, so when it came time to get a replacement laptop for my dad I decided to take a look at those and see what options were available. Given the price point of those laptops and the type of user my dad is I elected to go with a Macbook Air instead. The laptop is very lightweight, runs at a decent speed, and has no user serviceable components (which could be good or bad). It is a great laptop for someone who is looking for an appliance sort of PC on a limited budget. Given how often these go on sale they are a viable solution to the entry-level user.

My wife got this computer since she hasn't owned one for some time, and needed to get a new one for going back to school. We went into the store, and they had this Macbook Air on sale for $749.99, and at that price, I struggle to imagine getting a better brand new computer at that price.... and I say that as someone that has traditionally hated OSX and uses a Chromebook as their daily computer. If I were in her position, I would have done the same thing: superior build quality, great specs, nice-sized screen, great battery life (so far anyway!).... there's not much more you can ask for!
