Purchased for my College Bound Granddaughter-

Went shopping with my granddaughter who just graduated from high school and needs a laptop for college this coming Fall. She likes the 13.3 inch screen that the MacBook Air has. She could not be more pleased with the performance and speed. She had been a Windows user, but she purchased an iPhone a year ago and now she has this perfectly compatible MacBook Air.

I wanted an inexpensive and portable Apple Laptop that had all the ports that I would use on the go. I do a lot of photography work so this was perfect. It is the perfect size and I don't even really notice that lack of the retina screen. Great machine for business on the fly!

I have used several different lap tops in the past, but this is by far the best one I've purchased. Although I planned on using it for school assignments, I have found that I use it for so much more than that. It's fast and easy to use! I find myself using it for everything. It also holds a charge well, which is perfect if you frequently forget to charge it.

I love this computer. My last MacBook lasted over 7 years so I knew I wanted to stay in the Mac family. I purchased this computer for graduate school because I needed something lightweight, fast, and a good price. This laptop still holds a battery charge for almost a full week and I purchased it a month ago. This computer is everything I needed.

I did extensive research before deciding which laptop to purchase for college. Since I didn't have a requirement to abide by at school, I simply judged by my needs. This was perfect for what I needed, a light laptop I could carry around, nice size screen for taking a break watching netflix, and great amount of storage for simple documents or pictures.

Works great, system comes up in one second, makes me very productive when I am working from home. Battery holds for a full day when using it havily. It has great performance, apps open up institeniously. It is so thin and light weight and just so cool, I simply love it.

I have always loved Apple ever since my first iPhone and MacBook, then I graduated to MacBook Pro...getting my MacBook Air is no disappointment. I didn't need the Pro anymore, just something a little lighter to do some blogging and such. It is simply perfect, fast and powerful. As my daughter says..."Once you go Mac, you don't go back!"

I needed a computer that was light, with a nice sized screen, and affordable. This fit the bill. Set up was simple (especially if you are familiar with Macs) and it runs WoW great (important for my son). Even better if you can find it on sale as I did. Don't forget to add MS Office at a discount when you buy. That's a great value.

    Outstanding laptop for student writer

I primarily purchased this to write screenplays, short stories, and novels (I'm a current high school student too, so it also bears the brunt of my essay writing and school projects). The back-lit keyboard is one of my favorite features. It makes writing in the dark very doable. The computer is also the lightest one I've ever owned, and it's the perfect size to fit into any bag. It would even fit in some of my friends' purses. And probably mine, if I was into purses. And the battery life is frankly astounding. I rarely have to charge it (maybe every other day, or every night if I've been writing tons). And when I do charge it, it charges quickly. Normally within an hour or two the battery is back up to one hundred percent, even if I'm actively using it while it's charging. And the adjustable-length cord is a life saver in crowded cafés and libraries. Also, I got a certified refurbished model because I was hoping to save a few extra bucks, and I can say that at least up to the present time (knock on wood), the computer functions like I bought it brand new. All around, I'm a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this product and especially the Geek Squad Certified Refurbished version.

Loving my new MacBook Air! It's fast, sleek, the display is just the right size. The battery life on this thing lasts FOREVER which is nice! I bought this for my husband who travels a lot and needed a lightweight laptop. We have a iMac at home too. I've had apple products for 10 years and will never ever go back to PC. Love the virus free life!

I absolutely love my Macbook Air. It's very light and I have had no problems with it! It's easy to navigate and I love that the brightness of the screen adjusts on its own unless you change it yourself. The screen size is perfect and I couldn't see myself using any other laptop.

I have been using PC's my whole life, but have owned Apple mobile devices for years. I finally was sick of my 2 year old laptop burning up in my lap and having to be plugged in just to use it, not to mention the fact that it took no less than a minute to be ready to use just from a wakeup standpoint. The Macbook is great for all of the above, open it and its ready to use safari or display email within seconds. The mouse pad takes some getting used to, and it makes complete sense after you do. I now find myself trying to double finger scroll on my work laptop because i feel it should be able to! I am used to having folders set up for everything, but have not ventured that far and have since been saving items in my download folder. I am sure after i get the hang of how mac's operate this laptop will be even better for me.

I bought this for my wife who had an older MacBook pro. She complained about the battery life and this product is a huge improvement in that respect. It is also very light and easy to use. I was able to purchase on black Friday so the investment was reasonable. Shipping was fast as well. So far, she is very happy with the computer.

I use this computer mainly at home for web browsing, spreadsheets, pictures, traveling, watching movies, and writing reviews like this. Love the speed, portability, and light weight, never had any problems with these computers, this is my third MacBook Air and can't wait to see whats in store for the future of the MacBook Air line.

My very first MacBook was a 2011 MacBook Air that I purchased for work back in 2011. At the time, it was considered by many as the best ultra lightweight laptop. I immediately added Bootcamp so that I could run Windows which I needed for my job. Fast forward six years and my MacBook Air is still running strong. I decided to buy a second MacBook Air for use in my home (I leave the older one at work now). To my surprise this new MacBook Air runs twice as fast as my older model even though my first "Air" was upgraded to an i7 processor and the new one only uses an i5. I no longer use Windows since I have found Mac OS to be a more efficient operating system. The USB 3.0 interface makes transferring files a snap. Battery life is simply amazing (though not as much as Apple would like you to believe). The one negative is that both of my "Airs" run pretty warm when I do processor-intense work, but that is true with all laptops. When I connect my new "Air" to a 27" HP monitor and a mouse and keyboard, I now have a fantastic home computer. I will miss this line of laptops once Apple decides to move on to even lighter devices.

My first foray into the MAC world and so far so good. I have used an iPhone for some time but have also been strictly PC up until now. I needed a new home computer and the MacBook Air was on sale so figured, why not. It is taking a little to get used to the few differences and am pleasantly surprised how much like Linux it is so far. Not surprising really considering the roots of Apple OS. Noting that my previous PC was about 7 years old, its hard to tell what is better simply because its a newer core i5 processor and what is simply better because of the differences in Win 10 and Mac OS. There are great differences too. So far though, well worth the money spent. I'm not gonna sit here and ding it for not having this or not doing that. I knew full well when I bought it what its limitations or differences were. So, while it may be more expensive than a Windows equivalent, there are some upsides as well. I note that Apple has done a lot of work to keep everything seamlessly integrated. It may take some time but I think I've found a new friend in my MacBook Air. a great way to test the waters so to speak.
