I purchased a MacBook Air 7/25/16. Three years later i was having trouble with it not powering on. I took it to the Apple store where they said it needed a new battery for $140 and all else was fine. After having said battery installed, four months later it will not power on. They now want $475 to send off for repair. I was not happy and they suggested I call Apple Care. Called Apple care first thing this morning talked to Shelley, who made it sound like they might do something for me but department not open yet, gave me a case # and asked me to call back. Called back, on hold listening to awful/irritating music which does not help the situation. New representative, Sharon, very off-putting mentioned no Apple Care, out of warranty and kept saying it is a 5 year old product. She also said "it happens with any product" acted like it was my problem and there were no alternatives. Put me on hold for more than 15 minutes to tell me what the first person pleasantly told me earlier; back to AWFUL MUSIC! Nice representative, Stephanie basically said send it off for repair or send it off for trade-in value. Go to website, they'll send me a box and verify the trade-in value. Two important points: (1) I use this like a desk top; occasionally take it to another room in my house, almost never take it out of the house. (2) My previous laptop was a Toshiba which lasted 10 years, on same battery, at half the cost. Would I recommend this to a friend, your kidding?

When I want to research something quickly and I don't walk into my office and log on to my MacMini. I now reach for my MacBook Air 13, its screen is just the right size, its light-weight, powers up quickly, battery last a long time, and the OS has great features that ties in with other Apple products. Do I care that it only has a 128 GB Flash Storage? No, I don't. We live in a cloud based storage environment now. I don't need to store my entire MP3 library (there's streaming music). Why store 500GB of pics and video I will never watch anyways on my computer? I like how fast it boots up and how fast I can access data. I think it is a great laptop for doing things quickly or if I am sitting on the couch. I am a Network Administrator I don't want to work on computers when I get home. I want to just get on do what I need to and then logoff. The MacBook Air does that for me.

I really should not trust the Geek Squad for buying a open box electronics. This MacBook Air got 3 battery cycle already which is irritate me enough, but I cannot image why they don't put the original plug head duck inside. I have no option but use the extend cable for charging. I buy this laptop for reasons, and I have no time for refund and exchange for fun. Please, do you job BestBuy. I hate to tell, but this is probably the last time for buying stuff here. One horrible time is enough. The circumstances is even worse than biding stuff on eBay.

Best purchase I’ve made, so far. I’ve always had Windows PCs and I was so over the overnight updates. You know, where you can’t even turn your computer on unless you let it update...ALL NIGHT LONG, you know? Every single time I turned my pc on, it seemed to want to do this. I’ve had virus after virus, on my pc’s. Enough was enough. This MacBook is a dream! It syncs up with my other iOS devices, it’s fast as all heck, it is easy to use and navigate, and (the best part) it doesn’t take all freaking night to update. Thank goodness! With most IOS devices, you usually only have to update 2 or three times a year. The whole process takes less than 30 minutes. I am so over Windows PCs. Buy this and it will save your life.

I was a Mac user for 15 years before being forced to the PC world at a particular employer. I like PCs just fine, especially the desktops, but PC laptops with any good guts are heavy and hot and pricey. The Best Buy associate who helped me showed me several Chromebooks and PC laptops first, but confided he liked the MacBook the best. He demoed it, and I quickly agreed, but I was a little hesitant to spend the $200 more on it vs. a PC. I told my wife about it, who told me to quit complaining and just buy the machine I wanted since I'm a writer who uses it all the time. I'm so glad I took her advice. This is far better than any PC laptop or Chromebook I've ever owned or used. No comparison. Just spend the extra money for the better construction, performance, lightweight and portability. Can't be beat for the money.

It was supposed to come with the touch bar but it doesn't have it

Beautiful, light weight, great design, I love the thinness and battery life, and how fast it is compared to my old laptop. I particularly like the feature that enables me to create a document and then share it as a Word document, a PDF file, etc.The quality is really amazing for the price and I love how easy it is to use.
