MacBook, the Mercedes Benz of Notebook Computers

My MacBook Air is nothing short of outstanding. I even found a rose colored transparent cover which matches my rose colored iphone 7+! MacBooks intergrating with the iphone is just unique/convenient. MacBook Air is lightweight yet most solid. The craftsmanship is 2nd to none. MacBook Air is quick and quiet. The BestBuy salesman was very patient with answering my many questions which led to my comfortable purchase. BestBuy was also very supportive, emailed an invite for me to meet with the Geek Squad to assist with set up and navigation (as previously, I've always been a Windows user), my 1st MacBook Notebook purchase. The Geek Squad was most knowledgeable and even gave me notes to follow. This was HUGE! And I now have scheduled to attend a free workshop w/Apple next weekend at the local Apple Store! WHAT SUPPORT. The MacBook Air is just exceptional.

I owned an older MacBook Pro before purchasing the Air. I noticed a difference in how quick the Air responded. It's perfect for that college life. It's light, lasts a long time on a charge, and has quick response time. Definitely glad I made the switch. I love how everything syncs so quick and easy between the Apple devices I own. Notes that I take on my MBA pop up right away on my iPhone so I can study on the go. Bummed they stopped the MBA line. It is a great Apple laptop at a more affordable price.

I've never bought a Mac before and had heard good and bad things about it, but this little laptop is excellent. I worried that there wouldn't be enough storage, and since I'm used to touchscreen, I expected to miss that feature. I also didn't know what the learning curve would be since I've only ever used Windows. But it's speedy, light and portable, and fits my needs just fine. It's a personal computer, not one designed for a heavy workload, but I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

I mostly use it for grad school but it has a good speed, always works, and the battery life lasts a long time! I often will fully charge it and then take it somewhere to work and it'll usually last for the whole time I'm there (I wish I paid attention to the time but I usually work away from home for at least 4 or more hours). It's not too heavy and the screen is a little bigger than my previous MacBook Air. I've had mine for close to a year and have had no problems. Definitely recommend!

I've wanted a laptop for a long time, but, what kind do you get? What I needed a laptop for was work and personal use. Work-wise, I usually do a lot of things online with some document writing, so I didn't need tons of storage, but wanted something fast. Personal use would have mostly been for browsing the internet. So far, this laptop has been perfect for what I needed. Plus, I have an iPhone, so all my iMessages and mostly everything on the phone syncs with it. I am very happy and would recommend this product. If you needed something for a lot more work and storage, this still might work for you, but you might need an external storage just in case. It is the perfect size and isn't heavy AT ALL. When I close it, I carry it kind of like a larger book without worrying I will drop it.

This is a very good basic laptop for persons who don't mind it not having Retina Display. I bought this for my girlfriend who upgraded from an old white MacBook. It's a lot lighter than the older MacBook and she really loves how fast it is and how long the battery lasts. She thought the backlit keyboard was dorky until she started using the feature. She also likes the larger screen. She bought Microsoft Office at the same time (usually BestBuy runs a discount on the software if bought at the same time as the laptop.) She told me that Office opens fast and she can see a whole spreadsheet when open. I work at a university and I see a lot of students who are tight on a budget using these, so I know that the MacBook Air laptops work for everything a student needs. They are very affordable, fast and light weight, can run all day, even watching videos. If you don't need the super sharp screen, you really can't go wrong with this laptop.

I've had this laptop for about 6 years and it is the most sturdy laptop I've ever owned. It has not broken down or had ANY cooling problems at all and it's just an all-around amazing laptop to have for the long term. It's great for work and school.

Lightweight. Easy to hook up to any HDMI ready TV (send both video and audio using a MiniPort to HDMI adapter). Quiet, usually noise free, operation (no spinning hard drive; and fan only engages to cool processor for certain tasks). Small (easily slips into a backpack and does not take up much room). Battery lasts 5-7 hours). Lightning fast startup time!! This thing starts up in less than 15 seconds!! Full size keyboard. Incredibly responsive track pad (way better two finger scrolling than all other brand laptops I have used -Dell, hp, Toshiba, and IBM/lenovo). Beautiful display (great resolution and easily adjust brightness according to your lighting). Meets expectations!

This computer is not only stylish and sleek but very useful from traveling class to class super light weight but solid. The speed and battery life greatly surpasses other computers i had in the past. What i love about the computer is that i am not a computer person but enjoy quality speed since i would be writing papers for class and looking up info is quickly. Lastly, buying a Macbook offers not only a sleek and stylish design but you know you are covered and trusted by a brand that is known not to get virus and products lasting many years

I was having a hard time trying to pick a laptop that would meet my college needs. This computer has good battery life, storage, and is easy to tote to classes. The only downside was that it took maybe 12 hours to update when I first got it. Great otherwise

My laptop was stolen which found me in need of a new laptop for college. I had always been a PC person who vowed never to go Mac. However I wasn't able to find a PC with the same style, light weight, and high reviews for not getting viruses. Turns out I love my Mac. Its the perfect size to carry in my backpack as I walk from class to class. The speed seems good, not necessarily faster than my old PC but still good. I expected the switch from Windows to the OS system would be a difficult transition but it really wasn't. Overall I would recommend this laptop for students who appreciate quality and style.

I love how easy MacBooks are to use. You can easily switch between software with the trackpad and there is zero lag when executing processes. I love how it does't get hot in your lap. The solid state drive is the way to go. I didn't get the Retina display, but it looks great anyway. My opinion is there isn't much difference to a normal internet and software user. If you are using for graphic programs you may want to get the Pro. Can't believe I had a MacBook Pro years ago and loved it. Got a cheap Toshiba because of funds and hated it. The comparison is like the Toshiba is a really cheap mattress......You get a little comfort but in the long run it just really starts to give you pains. The MacBook Air is the expensive mattress that you just love to lay on and let out a sigh about how comfortable it is. That's how it feels when you open the laptop screen on this MacBook Air. This laptop is definitely worth every bit of debt it puts you in. Buy it, and start reading these reviews on your awesome laptop.

Reminder that Macs are still great

My wife is an avid mac user, whereas I still have to use PCs predominantly for work. At one point a few years back, I tried using my wife's Macbook to work remotely, and the computer functioned well enough but the workload bogged it down and certain features my company relied on simply were not supported on the Mac version of Office (not Mac's fault). However, that Macbook was officially on its last legs and with a deadline approaching we simply had to replace my wife's computer. So we ponied up to get the bare bones version of the latest macbook and were very happy with the performance. It's still a Mac, so the basic functionality and appearance haven't changed, but the new processor and sleeker design reminded me that Apple still makes a solid product, and as computing changes and advances, you'll still need to update your hardware on occasion.

I have purchased these for my company and they are great for our field sale people. Not the fastest processor or highest resolution screen but the 13" Airs strike a great balance between performance and portability. Most of all, we have had issues with sever different Lenovo models on the Windows side, but these Airs or Pros have never posed any issues for us. It would nice to have this same form factor but get the Retina screens, but that would cannibalize the Pro lineup.

Prior to this laptop, I had a big bulky lenovo laptop. I wanted to switch to something lighter and more conducive to carrying it to and from class, but didn't want to sacrifice performance. So far, this laptop has been great! It is super light/thin, has great battery life, and is rather snappy. I was able to find this laptop $100 off and then used the student discount to get another $150 off. It was a great deal. If i had to pick something to complain about it would be that the screen is not exactly super high resolution, but that is to be expected and it is definitely good enough.

Bought this for my wife so she would stop stealing my ibook pro. She absolutely loves how light, small and powerful it is. the battery life is great and has all the functions you need to get whatever you need done. I'll admit, she was heistant first getting it because it doesn't have a CD/DVD player or writer, but with software being mostly purchased as online downloads and if she "really really" needed it, she could just borrow my external DVD burner. Overall she is very happy. Happy wife...happy life.

I love this computer so much! Coming from a PC, it was a learning curve but it is so cool. It runs super fast, perfect size, not heavy or bulky, really thin. Battery is amazing! I use it almost everyday, I've had it for over a month now and have only charged it 3 times!! The sound is really good. It might be a little pricey but it's worth it! My girlfriend has a mac that's lasted her 9 years and is still going strong I'm hoping to do the same with mine!! Don't think twice just buy buy buy !

I had the full MacBook before this one and I can really tell the difference- primarily, the memory. This model fils up quickly if you store a lot. I didn't realize it would so fast. Also, I thought I wouldn't miss not having a CD drive- until I needed to insert one! Nevertheless, it still gets the job done. Very light, very fast and powerful. It's a good travel laptop and for getting most work done.
