My last Mac was 9 years old before I had to replace it - pretty amazing given all the glitches out there.

I have never owned a Mac computer but have apple products. The salesperson at Best Buy helped me decide on this purchase and I have had it for months now and I have never been happier. I love it more than my windows OS laptops. It's lightweight and easy to use, also configures with all my apple products.

Best Buy was running a sale the day we purchased this item; we have always looked at getting a Mac but it was too high cost in the past. This new MacBook Air is amazing; way faster then our old machine. Easy to work with and has everything you need. We purchased an external DVD drive just in case people bring in CD's as this was a machine for my wife's at home office. Only thing we have struggled with is getting automatic local backups to run to our NAS, but I'll figure it out eventually. The quality of the product is great, it feels so much stronger then any other laptop I have ever owned.

I have been a Mac user for nearly as long as I can remember. When I suddenly had to replace my MacBook Pro I shopped around since I didn't want to have to pay MacBook Pro prices. As far as I can tell, the only real difference between the MacBook Air and pro are that the MacBook pros have larger hard drives, which really isn't relevant in this day and age since external memory is so inexpensive, and the screen. The MacBook Air doesn't have the pro retina screen like the MacBook Pros, which is fine because I can't tell a big difference. I think the screen quality was actually great for the price, especially compared to a lot of the windows laptops. Plus, the 8gb of memory makes a HUGE difference! Everything seems lightning fast! The only thing that scared me was how thin the computer is! If you're getting one, make sure to buy a case for it! I was afraid to travel with mine until the case came in. Overall, amazing quality for the price. I showed it to my sister and she was so impressed she decided to order one for herself as well.

The MacBook Air is a very lightweight computer that is very convenient for students. The battery life seems to be very good. The only thing that I would like to see from Apple is to have touch screens built into these computers. For the company that really founded touch screen devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.), they are lagging behind in that area on their laptops. Other than that though, I am confident that this machine will last my daughter a good while (as long as she doesn't damage it).

Amazing product for a high schooler. Her school uses an apple iPad so they both work well with projects.

This is a great little laptop. Lightweight and powerful enough for school applications. Boots up fast, handles all office products and gets online when I need it to. My favorite part... Illuminated keys so I can see what I type in the dark.

The battery life on this thing is amazing. I only plug it up once every day if I'm using it a lot or once every 2 days if I'm not using it that much. The screen displays things very clearly. It's very light and doesn't make my backpack bulky like my old Toshiba did. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Even for a beginner and old school computer illiterate, I love the ease and learnability of my new MacBook Air. Just had a friend transfer my old stuff onto my new Mac (cause change is not my forte) and it works even more superior to my 10 year old MacBook. Hated to see it go but this is wonderful.

This macbook was a great investment, is light to carry around, fast and portable. I've never owned a Mac Computer but this is by far the best laptop I have ever purchase especially for mac begginers and for work, carrying around purposes

After many failed PC laptops over the course of 8 years I decided to invest in a long term laptop. I did a lot of research and asking around before making the purchase. It has been one of the best investments I've made so far! Easy to navigate, fast, sleek looking and battery holds up very well!

This is my second MacBook Air.. My last one was 4 years old. I had no problems with it, until I accidentally spilled water on the keyboard. So, basically Apple is a great product, but I need to watch liquids when using my laptop. :-) Once you have an Apple, you'll never go back to the other products!

Great computer! Now a little bit faster. You just can't beat a Mac for useability and reliability. And the MacBook Air is very portable. I would highly recommend this computer, especially if you won't be doing any heavy video or photo editing.

We purchased this laptop for our granddaughter to take to college. We had purchased a similar one for her brother 3 years ago, and we've had no problems with either one. We feel this is the best laptop to start college with-great storage and even greater battery life. Our granddaughter says it's perfect!

I purchased this laptop as our ONE laptop for the family was dying. I needed one specifically that would be sufficient for work and personal. It has a good amount of storage, however I'm sure Ill have to keep any eye on it. I love the touch screen bar, although I don't utilize it as much as I should for having the option. The flat keyboard has taken some time to get used to. I'm an Apple product lover and super happy with this purchase.

I got my MacBook Air on sale. I am not only please with the price I paid , which I thought was quite reasonable but also with the performance. It's is fast and easy to use. I bought it online and picked it up in the store . It was available for pick up almost immediately , with no waiting in lines.
