I had a 2011 macbook pro and wanted to get a new one. I wanted a lighter mac and the air was the way to to. the 13 inch screen is enough, the speed is fast, and clarity is great. the only downside to the air is that there is no cd/dvd drive, so everything must be downloaded or from a usb stick. I would definitely recommend the macbook air to anyone who wants a lighter laptop that works fast and has a long battery life, around 12 hours. this is the early 2015 model.

Okay, so this is a little embarrassing to admit, but I used to be really against apple computers. I loved their iphones and iPads ect; but the computers always seemed like a super pricey version of a pc that they slapped an apple logo on and called it "designer". I mean why pay over a GRAND for a machine that does the same exact thing that a 400 dollar PC does? Right? Well I was wrong...as my husband gleefully reminds me of it every once in a while ;) There is a definite distinction between a normal Windows machine and an Apple laptop, and it is more than their expertly crafted advertising. First off, is quality. It simply "feels" nicer. It's more premium, the keys click smoothly, the metal feels expensive, (and the glowing apple logo in the back is pretty awesome too) Secondly... is the speed. This thing restarts faster than it takes to spin in my office chair. It's crazy! Plus when you restart your machine it opens up all the windows and programs you had open before! A trivial feature, but does a PC do that? NO. Frankly the speed of the air is amazing, I was expecting (because we didn't opt for the macbook pro) that it would be a little sluggish because it didn't have the highest quality bells and whistles. Well let me tell you, I have a top of the line i7 16gb of RAM lenovo laptop for work. This macbook Air edits videos better, it's smother, and its battery lasts 5x as long. I could ramble on forever, but just know that if you're like me, thinking that the price of the MacBooks aren't justified, just go and play around on one. You'll change your mind.

This laptop is awesome, I have an iphone and an ipad, but this Mac Air is the truth. Easy to function, lightweight and durable. I take this laptop everywhere. I can dress it up however I like, and the fact that it is just perfect for school and home use is a definite plus. My biggest pro is how easy it is to carry around. The same way my phone is either in my hand or with me at all times, is the same way this laptop is for me. So far no problems for me.

I have never owned a Mac before or even thought about getting one. But I recently enrolled in online college courses. I needed something light and portable. Better yet, reliable. I read the reviews for different pcs and looked at all the brands. They were all mixed reviews. I mean people either loved what they got or had a horrible experience.....Macs were a bit more than I wanted to spend but I decided to read the reviews anyway. The reviews were outstanding. You rarely come across a bad one. The people who rate it one star are mostly angry at best buy. Not the computer itself.....long review short this computer is incredible. I can't wait to start school so I can use it to its full potential. I highly recommend. I will never go back to PC.

Even though this is a 2015 model, the components are still plenty enough for high school or college students looking for a lightweight 12-13 in laptop with long battery life and SSD drive. Battery life is great - granted one gives up an ultra high def screen but at this size it's negligible. Overall a great buy on clearance. I bought for my daughter entering high school and expect this to last her several years.

I am a first time Mac owner who has had a number of previous PCs and laptops but has used iPads and iPhones. I was still nervous about switching over having never used an Apple computer but have found it really easy to use. The best thing is that switching allowed me to save files from an infected computer as the virus/issue was PC targeted. I got this during a great sale so it was a great value for the cost. I love how lightweight it is yet it still seems a lot sturdier than many other lightweight devices that I looked at. Holds a charge well. The Best Buy rewards points I will get for my purchase will pay for a mouse after they are credited to me but I'm adjusting to the unique touchpad capabilities Apple has and may become less mouse dependent once I'm used to it. Sound and audio recording has been great quality compared to some previous devices I have used although I have primarily just used this for Internet browsing and with the Microsoft Office suite so far. The only real complaint I have so far is that this model has few ports so I will need to get a few accessories that add ports or convert them but for the little I need those for it was worth the cost savings to pick this model versus a more expensive one with more connectivity options. Best Buy's staff and their attached Apple consultant were also all very helpful in making sure I found the right product for my needs, sharing a ton of information yet not steering me in any particular direction and letting me make up my own mind. Great product and great purchasing experience.

I love my Apple - MacBook Air® - 13.3" Display - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 128GB Flash Storage - Silver MacBook Air features up to 8GB of memory, a fifth-generation Intel Core processor, Thunderbolt 2, great built-in apps, and all-day battery life.1 Its thin, light, and durable enough to take everywhere you go-and powerful enough to do everything once you get there, better.

I converted to Mac's from PC's about 7 years ago and I've never looked back. The 13 inch MacBook Air is one of the best computers from Apple yet. Fast, light weight, and so easy to use. It has all the memory I need and I enjoy the screen size - perfect for viewing videos when I travel. Apple tech support is great - though I rarely have need for it. I highly recommend it! Trippy

What I liked about the Apple Air is that it’s light, fast and a build solid. It’s easy to use and integrates well with my iphone, ipad and apple watch. It’s mainly being used for web browsing, writing papers and multimedia apps. The fact that it weights around ~3 lbs makes it easy to move around with and my god what a battery life…. Probably the best battery life in the industry in similar products. I was able to get ~ 10 hours of continuous use with no problems. The 13.3 inch with the LED backlit makes it easy on the eyes and supports up to 1024 by 768 resolution. And the 8 gig of built in memory let’s you run numerous apps without a hiccup. The processor is a 1.6 ghz dual core intel i5 with 3mb shared built-in L3 cache. Keep in mind you could get a faster processor 2.2 ghz with dual core with the air but would cost ~ $400 more. It does not come with a CD/DVD drive but nowadays everything can be downloaded or transferred via USB. As for the 128 gig disk space, just add a Seagate external hard drive for $60 and you have a terra byte of space.

I've been using Macs for 20+ years, but never a Mac laptop.... always had a work-issued PC laptop and have a small touch-screen PC laptop. So I made a 'Hack' laptop from a PC laptop I specifically bought for it, which worked fine. But it was a lot of work and updates were a pain. I didn't want to deal with that hassel anymore, but I love OS X, so I read reviews everywhere and the Macbook Air was the best value for a Mac laptop. It may be a little pricey, but it's modern, extremely light, and the brushed aluminum looks great. And the battery lasts forever. I also don't miss a touch-screen because of the screen getting dirty. The Mac trackpad provides plenty of 'touch' gestures, so you rarely every need to click a button. Also got a non-Apple external DVD drive (far less than the Apple version) that works great, and any external storage will work fine, too. Granted, it doesn't have USB-C or some other 'new' features, but it's exactly what I wanted. And a great price when it went on sale.

My wife and I have depended on 13" Macbook Air laptops since they were introduced. We find them perfect for our everyday computing needs and are particularly attracted to the right ratio of screen size, weight, speed, battery life and price-value. As a long-time Best Buy Elite member I have been served well by having a well stocked Best Buy near our home.

I'm in love and awe with my new MacBook Air. The design is beyond incredible. The sleek body style is killer like any product apple product. It runs great and very fast. Has never crashed on me. I use it for everyday things like Facebook, YouTube, Netflix. The occasional paper. I believe for regular use its an awesome product. The battery life is great. If having a CD drive is big for you which I don't know why since you can stream anything now get a Pro, otherwise stick to this. Great for the average college student, or young generation.

I've been through plenty of laptops during my college career but I knew I always wanted a mac because of the look and because I love Apple software. Well compared to my other laptops the air is very fast. I don't have a virus protection and it's still running smoothly. I initially wanted the pro but settled for the air cus it was in my price range... well it wasn't much of a settle because there are basically no major differences. Love the size and light weight. It's very dependable and most importantly the battery doesn't die as quick as other brands. One charge every night and I can leave home without my charger every day. I'm sure there are a lot more pros for the computer geeks but these are just the ones that are important to me. I had to save up for it for about a year but it's a totally worth it investment.

It is a very portable device, light weight and long battery life. The WiFi connection function is strong and convenient within city boundary. I am amazed on the speed of processing with the life of the battery. I usually need to charge every two or three days with at least 8 hours online each day.

I love this Macbook air so far. I was always been a windows user since many years. Due to slow processor issues, built in hardware quality issues, slow booting issues, hence i really want to try mac series. So, i went for mac air. NOTE: I am still a fan of windows. But after trying macbook for the first time now, I am really amazed with the build quality, fast booting, very fast in all aspects. Good that i bought this for a black friday and it was definitely a good deal to buy during holiday seasons or cyber deals if you find anything in best buy. Additionally, best buy always gives me great deals as part of loyalty membership with them. Coming to macbook area now, sound is awesome. Video quality is amazing. Extremely light weight. 13.3" is a perfect fit. I have tried upto 17" in the past bought from best buy. However, i would say 13.3" is a perfect one and light weight too. Now, i am an apple fan. Yeah, a big fan of apple now. Definitely it is worth to spend money on apple products because of luxurious build quality !!
