I read numerous reviews before buying this laptop. I am glad that I purchased this specific MacBook as it is a perfect fit for me! Very light weight, fast, enough space to store both my school and personal files, easy to download and access Microsoft 365, and aesthetically appealing!

My wife loves this Apple Macbook Air! She uses it mainly for school work and browsing the internet. The size is perfect, and speed is more than enough for her needs! Plenty of space and she loves the battery life!

I'm very satisfied with my Mac Air. I made my switch from a Windows 8 machine and I couldn't be happier. The boot time, overall speed, performance, light weight and battery life on this machine is amazing. I have yet to find something I don't like about it. Time will tell...

It's not a retina display, but is still a very good laptop on the market. The new Macbook is a little bit lighter and comes with a retina display, it's too expensive. Macbook Air is light, works fast and affordable. 2016 model is the same as 2015 model except for the ram. (2015 4gb, 2016 8gb). When you check 'About This Mac' on this Macbook Air, it says 'Early 2015', but If the ram is 8gb, it's the 2016 model.

I was debating between the 2015 MacBook Air and 2015 MacBook Pro.
A 12 inch screen is too small. The 2016 MacBook is slower and it is unless for me with one port. Everything I own uses the normal USB. I'm fine with USB 3.0 speed, fast is better but I not going to buy all products for the New USB c. I didn't want a new 2016 MacBook or Pro for three reasons the removal MagSafe, no Normal USB ports and you can't upgrade the hard drive. SSD over time slows down. You are stuck with whatever size you buy. If the harddrive fails your out $1.5k.
After the first day of using the Air I was satisfied. I can't believe how quite it runs. My work (PC) computer drive me crazy with its annoying loud fans. The Air is silent. It's fast and does what I need. It boots up in 15-20 secs. It came out in 2015 it has better features than the new 2016 line up.

The 13" MacBook Air, for my needs, is the perfect mix of size, weight, and solid performance in a very portable package. Setup was a breeze, and operation is very easy. Battery life surprisingly long. Nothing but Kudos from me on this machine!

This is my first Apple laptop. I've only mainly used Mac Minis in the past. I purchased this laptop for myself after a somewhat hefty unexpected bonus from my employer. Caught this MacBook Air on sale for $799 and couldn't resist it. This laptop is amazing in all aspects. I'm already used to Apple's ecosystem (macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS) so this was fairly easy to use from the get go. It just works. It's speedy and turns on instantly when opened. Battery life is amazing can go 12 hours throughout the day without having to reach for my charger. It's also very lightweight, so you don't feel like you're carrying around a brick all day, if you tend to move around a lot like I do. I was so amazed with my purchase that I went back and purchased another for one of my kids who's starting college in a month.

Performance is pretty good. Just don't expect to play any high end games. I have my gaming desktop for that, and I can actually stream games through Steam to this over my local network.
Cons:
Requires Type C adapters for non usb C accessories. I do not use many accessories, so it's not a huge deal for me.
can't upgrade the RAM/SSD in the future

I was looking for a laptop replacement for a new job which will require extensive traveling and working from home. I originally went to Best Buy to look at the Lenovo models but was turned off by the right shift key being to the right of the directional arrows. The Best Buy associate asked me to take a look at the MacBook Air which was on sale ($200 off). I did some reviews after leaving the store and came back later that evening to purchase it.
This is my first MacBook and I will never go back to PC for anything other than gaming, which I don't do much anymore. This computer is extremely lightweight and portable and is lightning fast. I have had no problems getting used to the Apple OS/interface.
If you are looking for a new computer for traveling/work, I strongly recommend this.

I love my mac book air because it is light weight and it is easy to carry when I am meeting people for my business, I had a pro and I will not go back to the pro because it is too bulky. As to performance, it is fast, although storage is limited. I have never had any problems with this lap top, that's why you gotta love mac book over PC

This MacBook is powerful yes fast and very lightweight for traveling. As a student my wife uses it all the time and has no issues connecting to WIFI, or experiences any problems doing schoolwork on their intranet. A great system to pop in the backpack and it delivers wonderful graphics and a great feel to the keyboard and trackpad!

I got this laptop as my "college laptop" but expect it to last me many more years. I had been using an Acer laptop but was not satisfied with the programming, speed, capabilities, battery life, etc. All of my friends had MacBooks and being that I am an Apple user I was very familiar with them. So far I have used the picture editing features, pages, camera, Internet, mail, etc. and have no complaints. My favorite things about the MacBook Air are the size/weight of it and it's battery life. I use my laptop off and on throughout the day for about two hours at a time. I have only had to charge my laptop about every 4 days. Granted I am not streaming anything and no extensive time is being put in to it but my Acer could not be used off the charger. I am very satisfied with this laptop!

Love the MacBook Air! Light - Fast -Durable. Does exactly what I need in a portable laptop. Apple OS is safe and starts lightening fast. Compared to current PCs in my workplace, this is a far better device.

I love the size of my new Mac, 13 inches I think. I like the fact it is thin and light weight. the Mac fits nicely on my lap while I am watching TV and doesn't get hot on my legs.I have two desk top Macs and was using a PC in the past. I was frustrated with windows 10, so I purchased the Mac, since I am familiar with its system.

I looked online before purshasing a new laptop to make sure I got everything I needed. I was going from a PC to a Mac but I didn't need anything too crazy so the MacBook Air is perfect for me, it's light, easy to use, and does everything I need. One thing that is really great is the battery life. The battery in my PC didn't last that long and anytime I went somewhere with it I needed to bring the charger, the battery in the Mac seems to last forever so I don't always have to worry about hauling the charger along too!
