Have been using my laptop for a few weeks now and its a great product that has helped me with my studies.

I was only running Google Chrome (2 windows) - 4 tabs each. High-frequency sound coming from the fan and the laptop was sitting on a desk. 8GB of RAM is not enough when Google Chrome uses 6GB. Returned it and ordered the MacBook Pro from Apple with 16GB of RAM. Best Buy employees were understanding and echoed what I had said about the fan and temperature. Best Buy has been incredible during this time of challenges. Went back for a 75" tv and a laptop for my dad. Customer service has been consistently awesome!

I've only had this for a day and I'm already considering returning it. Just watching a basic YouTube video in 1080p gets this laptop hot enough to cook your legs. It stays at 100 Celsius for nearly the entirety of the video. In case you weren't aware, having a CPU at 100 degrees is almost unheard of. You do NOT want temps this high. Ever. In any kind of computer. This laptop even idles at about 70 degrees Celsius which is just insane. A computer should not sit idle at temps above 50 Celsius. The fan is almost entirely useless. That's not an exaggeration. Even at full blast I'm lucky to see a 2 degree drop. It must be positioned poorly as it mainly just blows out cool air. Fails to adequately move heat out from the inside of the laptop. It might as well not even be there. Don't use Google Chrome either. Just scrolling down a page will set the temp up to 90 degrees. Heat wise, it handles Firefox noticeably better, but still produces unacceptable temperatures. Temps are lowest using Safari, but I am not a fan of Safari so that's a bust. If you plan on using this laptop to literally do nothing other than basic web browsing, then you should be fine. But anything outside that, even just watching YouTube, will get the laptop hot enough to fry an egg on. Apple failed majorly with the cooling system in this laptop. I'm honestly shocked that they okayed it. I am a huge fan of Apple. Prior to this laptop I was using a 2015 MacBook pro. I loved that thing for 5 years. Still runs well. I thought this Air was going to be a major upgrade considering how much better the specs are. Nope.

My son's first Apple computer and he loves it. He bought for the apps for photo and video editing.

I don't know what it is but I'm very disappointed because everything works very great except the camera ! the camera is supposed to be HD and it looks like an android camera ! I have the old Mac book air and I thought I was making a better choice choosing this one since its the "lates model" just to have a bad quality camera compare to my other Mac book air. If I would off known better I would have chosen the old model instead of this new model. Me and my boyfriend got the same laptop and his camera to is horrible !

My wife is a big fan of Apple and needed to complete her collection by having the Laptop. She likes it, but it is different seeing a laptop where it isn't touch screen however it is still a great laptop.

Best Buy had them in stock. I ordered it online and they had it ready for me in 15 minutes.
