The best Macbook I’ve owned so far. I had an older gen macbook pro and wasn’t sure if I’d love the transition between the two, however it was so smooth and zero stress. Using it for nursing school and I have nothing but good things to say.

Just a heads up this will be a pretty long review. I will start with a TLTR: This laptop is a fantastic choice with build quality, software, and capability. I will go on to explain some more in depth about this laptop. I have currently owned this laptop for about a week, and I am super happy with it so far. This is my first Apple laptop, and I am coming from using multiple brands of Windows laptops and Chromebooks. The best way to describe the Macbook air is a perfect combo between a standard Windows laptop and a Chromebook. It has the small size, lightweight design, and the battery life of a Chromebook, while having the build quality and software capability of a standard Windows laptop. I appreciate how I can download software just as you can on a Windows platform, while also having an app store that allows for applications that can be installed on both my iPhone and laptop. The thing that impressed me the most was the quality of charging cable. I have honestly never used a charging cable that felt/behaved like the cable included does (I usually only use charging cables given to me with the device to prevent any damage from charging with bad cables.) And I also greatly appreciate the magsafe charging on this, preventing any possible charging port damage that comes with having a portable device. I got the midnight black version of this laptop, and it is certainly a fingerprint magnet as other people have said. However, I have no issues grabbing a microfiber rag and wiping them off. This is no more of a problem than phone screens grabbing finger prints. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is more about my own expectations in a laptop. I use a lot of computers and different pieces of technology, and I generally am pretty harsh if they have consistent issues if the device costs over a thousand dollars. There are software issues, and visual bugs that I notice on a daily basis using this laptop. That combined with some extra loading that should not be happening in certain cases (few times has this happened, but it has happened) where an application will load and never open. I completely understand that these are all issues that can be worked out, but this laptop model has been out for about a year now. For the price tag and age, I honestly expected this to be a nearly flawless experience. My missing star does not reflect physical build quality. This machine is fantastic looking and feels great to use and looks awesome. The star reflects the software issues which have not been fixed in the year this product has been out. Overall, I greatly recommend this laptop to anybody who truly needs something portable, that has good battery life, and capable of getting anything you need done. The screen quality is stellar so this works as a great movie platform as well. If you need a laptop that is more of a powerhouse, I would stray away from apple and look at an Asus ROG Zyphrus G14, and if you need a budget device I would look at an Asus Zenbook or Vivobook. This laptop is a great in-between, and as I have said I highly recommend it.

Apple never disappoints when it comes to the MacBook Air. This will be my 3rd over the last 10 years. So far it has been outstanding. Works great with all my music creation flow DAW and Hardware. Battery life continues to impress. Fast machine.

I really like the size and light weight of this laptop. Picture quality is top notch. I previously owned a MacBook Pro but decided the Air was a better fit for my needs. I just do basic stuff and don’t need a powerful computer. In addition, when I looked at reviews it seemed the new Air with M2 chip was rated better than the Pro. I’m happy with my purchase.

The MacBook Air is light but still a powerhouse for both work/education tasks, streaming, and games. I really love the feature on video calls where the camera tracks you. This enables me to stand and move a bit when I talk, which is a more organic presentation stance similar to being in person.

Excellent build quality. Great unboxing experience. M2 is extremely powerful and power efficient. The bigger screen is a plus and the notch isn’t that bad. Screen resolution and quality is too notch. The speakers are also very good for a laptop. Of course bestbuy was awesome as usual. Very happy with my new MacBook

I had a really hard time letting go of my MacBook Air 2015 laptop. I needed an upgrade though, so I bought this laptop and I absolutely love it. I'm really happy I went with the midnight blue color too. Its fast and I can do multiple things on it at one time.

Replaced an old iMac (2012 version) with this MacBook Air and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s very fast, quiet and light. Works well with all of my Apple devices, which really make it worth it. Went with the Starlight color, and it’s very nice. If looking for something different than silver, but doesn’t show fingerprints like the Space Gray or midnight colors this is a great option.

Great laptop that is by far one of the fastest devices I have owned. Runs any program that I have thrown at it without any issues so far and although it does not have any fans, that has not caused any performance throttling in my workload. Definitely recommend!

I recently purchased the MacBook Air 13.6" Laptop - Apple M2 chip - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD and it is the most amazing laptop I’ve ever owned! It’s sleek design is convenient and looks awesome in the color midnight! It is user friendly with great graphics and fast connections. I’ll never own anything other than a Mac!

The MacBook Air M2 exceeds my expectations even though I've been a MacBook Pro user for many years. I have a 2019 Pro i9 16GB at work, and this machine beats it easily. I can't believe all the fuss in the media about 8gb memory being too small, as I completely disagree. Most of those who claim you need more memory show unrealistic and ridiculous evidence (50 chrome tabs, Lightroom, Photoshop, + more open all at once). I've opened every program I use all at once and this machine did not even have a hiccup (this includes Affinity photo software, Office, Quicken, Safari). The Apple engineers really know what they're doing. The iPhones, for example, typically have less memory than their Android competitors yet outrun them handily nonetheless. It's due to the great design of the Apple silicon chips, and this has been repeated in the Apple M-series machines.

Replaced a 2018 MacBook Pro with this, and it’s been great. Primarily lean on this machine for Adobe CC and a few other creative and tech apps. No issues. I love the no-fan design on the M2. Lightweight and slim and stays cool. Perfect for quick and easy transport and use while on the go as I travel quite a bit for work.

Switching from the 2020 MacBook Air space gray model (intel) to the Apple M2 Chipset latest model is certainly an adjustment. The midnight option is a fingerprint magnet. Strikingly thin beautiful design however, I do believe Apple should have at least provided a cleaning cloth for the midnight edition (LOL). Overall performance is amazing for day to day work related activity. The new M2 Chip is a huge difference compared to the prior intel chipset from my previous MacBook. The new speakers are invisible and almost tucked away near the henges, but the four-speaker sound system is still crisp and provide much clarity. The magsafe power connector is not easy to detach after charging but a great addition for multiple use for additional thunderbolt ports.
