Okay, so I got the new MacBook Air M4, and I'm honestly so happy with it. I was torn between this and the Pro, but after thinking about what I actually do every day, the Air was the perfect fit. First off, it's just so light. I carry it everywhere with me, and it barely feels like there's anything in my bag. It's incredibly thin, and the new "sky blue" color is gorgeous—it's a subtle but beautiful metallic blue that looks really slick. Even though it's an "Air," the performance is phenomenal. The M4 chip is a beast, and for my daily stuff—tons of web browsing, writing papers, streaming videos, and some light photo editing—it's overkill in the best way. Everything is snappy and responsive, and I've never once heard a fan, which is great because there isn't one! The best part is the battery life. I can use this thing all day, forget to charge it overnight, and still have juice left in the morning. It's truly liberating. The display is fantastic. It's a Liquid Retina display, and while it doesn't have the fancy ProMotion of the Pro model, it's still bright and colorful. Everything looks sharp and clear, which is perfect for watching movies or working on documents. And the new Apple Intelligence stuff is actually really cool. I've been using the writing tools to help clean up my emails and it's a huge time-saver. It's not a must-have, but it's a nice bonus that makes the laptop feel even more advanced. The only real "compromise" compared to the Pro is the speakers and the ports. The speakers are good, but they're not the rich, deep sound you get from the Pro. And you only get two Thunderbolt ports and the MagSafe charger, so I still have to use a dongle sometimes. But for me, those trade-offs are totally worth it for the portability and the lower price. For what it is, a super-fast, super-light, and gorgeous laptop for everyday use and more, the MacBook Air M4 is an absolute winner. I highly recommend it if you want a powerful Mac without the bulk and extra cost of the Pro.

This poor rating is NOT about the MacBook Air it's about Best Buy. When I purchased the MacBook I at the same time traded a computer. I received my promised money for the trade in, however I did not receive the refund for the tax overage that I paid at time of sale and which the stated ON THEIR website I would receive. No matter the calls I made to the store nor to corporate or the emails, nor the BBB complaint I filed. It's not a lot of money it's the principle.FALSE ADVERTISMENT! BEWARE

For example, the 13-inch model hit ~14h 51m in a web surfing test.  • The 15-inch version lasts “over 15 hours” in similar conditions.  • For video playback, reviews have numbers that come closer to Apple’s “up to 18 hours” claim.  2. Performance vs Power Efficiency • The M4 chip is a step up in both GPU/CPU performance, especially in tasks that short‐bursts heavy work (opening apps, editing photos, light video).  • Because it’s fanless, there’s no noise. But that also means sustained heavy tasks (long video rendering, continuous high CPU load) can heat up the chassis and lead to throttling.  3. Design, Display, and Usability • Retains the slim, light, premium build of the Air line.  • Good quality display (Liquid Retina, good color accuracy, True Tone). Long time Windows user...but...also have an iPad mini and needed a more portable laptop to match my heavier duty discrete GPU Windows ASUS laptop. Overall, a solid device with incredible battery life, no noise and extremely portable, This was my first Mac and it's a homerun. Some nits with MacOS but overall very similar to an iPad.

The size and weight of the M4 Macbook Air is a pleasure when traveling on airplanes. I use dual montors at work. This M4 version will run two monitors, but while one USB-C port has a dongle, only one monitor can work through the dongle. The other monitor must be plugged directly into the second USB-C port. I didn't know that at first, but it is not a big deal and handles any work effortlessly. Love the blue color - was tired of grays and silver MacBooks.
