Just upgraded to the MacBook Air with the M4 chip, and it's absolutely incredible. It's blazing fast, super lightweight, and completely silent thanks to the fanless design. Whether I'm editing photos, multitasking with dozens of tabs, or just streaming content, it handles everything effortlessly. Battery life is phenomenal — easily lasts all day. Apple nailed it with the M4 chip. If you're looking for a portable, powerful laptop, this is the one to get.

1. Battery Life • In lighter / mixed use (web, video streaming, writing, etc.), you can get 14-15 hours or more. For example, the 13-inch model hit ~14h 51m in a web surfing test.  • The 15-inch version lasts “over 15 hours” in similar conditions.  • For video playback, reviews have numbers that come closer to Apple’s “up to 18 hours” claim.  2. Performance vs Power Efficiency • The M4 chip is a step up in both GPU/CPU performance, especially in tasks that short‐bursts heavy work (opening apps, editing photos, light video).  • Because it’s fanless, there’s no noise. But that also means sustained heavy tasks (long video rendering, continuous high CPU load) can heat up the chassis and lead to throttling.  3. Design, Display, and Usability • Retains the slim, light, premium build of the Air line.  • Good quality display (Liquid Retina, good color accuracy, True Tone). The webcam is a noticeable upgrade.  • New color options and lower entry price improve appeal.

Long time Windows user...but...also have an iPad mini and needed a more portable laptop to match my heavier duty discrete GPU Windows ASUS laptop. Overall, a solid device with incredible battery life, no noise and extremely portable, This was my first Mac and it's a homerun. Some nits with MacOS but overall very similar to an iPad.

The size and weight of the M4 Macbook Air is a pleasure when traveling on airplanes. I use dual montors at work. This M4 version will run two monitors, but while one USB-C port has a dongle, only one monitor can work through the dongle. The other monitor must be plugged directly into the second USB-C port. I didn't know that at first, but it is not a big deal and handles any work effortlessly. Love the blue color - was tired of grays and silver MacBooks.

This Apple Macbook Air is lightweight and perfect for school. It is easy to carry and the battery life is great. The screen is easy on my eyes and it is fast speed. There is no lagging when browser searching.

I have a total of 6 laptops (all 2024 or newer) and all of them are great at certain things and not so great at other things. This is where the MacBook Air M4 differs , it literally hits all the wants/needs: good screen, good sound, good performance, great battery life. The laptop is premium looking and feeling and is as light as air. The hinges are excellent with no screen wobble and the trackpad is the best in the business. You can walk around using it in one hand without any issues. The only thing that could be better is a brighter screen, if they made it 600 nits this would absolutely be perfection. Now Mac does not run all of the variety of programs and games than you can run on windows that is true but if most of your work is web based (like most now a days) and your not heavy into gaming this is the laptop for most ppl. I would recommend paying a little more and getting the 24GB variant as 16 does tend to get stuck/studdar from time to time.

Great! Able to trade in my M2 and got the recent M4! MacBook Air is lightweight, Works fast! Able to use multiple monitors without any glitches! Battery life is long and the games I play are functional without lag!
