Exactly the same except for some ports. The thinness is awesome. If you aren’t a heavy user do yourself a favor and buy the 16gb ram and 512gb version

The battery last for a week or more with using it a few hours a day to complete school work. I definitely recommend it.

great laptop but new trackpad is bad

It's enough that I took off a star and I've changed the settings so I've confirmed that it's operating as normal. I'm not sure why Apple switched to this design but it's a hassle to use. The keys are also way too big, but that's not a huge issue.

Bigger is better in this case

After looking at the 15" model I realized how much more I liked the +/- 2" screen size increase. It makes for a much more enjoyable user experience.
