I had the 2020 version M1 Macbook and although it was functioning, it would really lag with multiple browser tabs open or while running multiple programs simultaneously. The reaon, I suspect, was 8gb RAM. Unfortunately, there’s no way to upgrade RAM on any M chip MacBook. I liked the trade in price that Besbuy was offering and decided to upgrade to this M2 Macbook air. The difference is noticeable, but its mostly down to 16gb RAM rather than M2 chip. Most of the things I was doing werent really processor heavy. Apple really shouldnt be selling laptops with 8gb RAM anymore and I would seriously advice anyone against it. Another thing apple did is downgraded the power brick on these from 60W to 30W and you can feel the slower charging rate. With that being said, its a rather nice laptop at a nice price point (a similarly performing windows laptop would cost even more). Giving it 4 stars because of the above mentioned issues - no upgradable RAM, slower charger etc. I also think that this is a better buy than the pro unless you really need it.

Purchased this laptop for daily task and I’m super pleased with the size, portability, and best of all battery life. Would highly recommend and it’s a great value.

Excellent computer. No need the M3. This is all you need right here. The bigger screen also works. I just upgraded the Ram to 16GB. It's great!

Background: I had a MacBook Pro 13.3" 2014 before I purchased the MacBook Air 15" M2. I was a little skeptical downgrading from a Pro to an Air but it has not been a disappointment. Since owning the MBA M2 for a little over two weeks, it has been a complete game changer. The M2 chip is wicked fast compared to my 2014 MacBook Pro. Everything with the MacBook Air 15" M2 has exceeded my expectations. I also got it on sale for $400 off since the MacBook Air M3 was just released at the time ( there wasn't a difference in performance from the M2) so this was a great deal in my opinion!

My desktop was dying and I needed a new computer. I was hesitant getting a laptop but I am so happy I got this one. It has been great and works like a charm.

Great laptop for teachers. 16GB RAM will provide better software performance and quicker responses. Wider screen gives us better views of spreadsheet.

Best Buy had the best price. I had an M2 Air 13' before. The 15 inch seems just as light, but has a lot more screen space. I'm happy that I've upgraded.

I absolutely love my new Apple Macbook Air 15. I've wanted one for years and finally got one for my birthday. Its quick, easy to use and battery life is long! No regrets here!

Love this laptop! Processor speed is extremely smooth. No lag time and functions are easy to use once you get the hang of it.

We’d been looking for a work and home use laptop to replace a tablet and desktop. This absolutely took 1st place compared to others on the market. Not only does it intergrade beautifully with your ios device, it is such an amazingly easy fluid carryover from device workloads to computer transfer. Has handled everything from graphic designs to overnight run sessions. I am impressed coming from a windows. Do yourself a favor and just get the 1TB storage option and compensate your needs with additional portable hard drives. I find the lower storage fills up very quickly especially if any decent quality video editing comes into play.
