This Macbook Air is an excellent laptop. It was purchased to replace a first generation Macbook Air and seems to be a much better quality system. The larger screen and system capabilities are exceed what we needed.

My new Apple laptop is everything I'd hope it would be. Love it love it love it!! However the young lady who attended me, seemed like she was in a hurry and didn't offer me an extended warranty and I forgot to ask.

It has been a long time since I bought a new computer. This operates much faster than my old one. It took a bit of getting used to but I am happy with the purchase. The video quality is much better than my old computer.

This computer is something my husband has wanted forever, so needless to say when we could finally afford it he was happy as could be to get it. It works great just like all apple products. User friendly and easy to set up.

This is a rating for Best Buy's handling, not the laptop itself. The MacBook Air that I ordered was supposed to be brand new, but it arrived with a product number scrawled across the Apple box in purple magic marker. (Please see photo.) I thought it might mean that I was receiving someone else's return, but I called Best Buy support and they said it's normal practice and that the item is in fact new. I strongly suggest to Best Buy that this practice should be changed. Apple is always careful to provide beautiful packaging, and they pioneered the idea that the excitement of opening up a new computer deserves a thoughtfully designed out-of-box experience -- something that many Apple buyers appreciate. As someone who cares about design, I'm disappointed that the otherwise-beautiful new box is marked up like this. I always keep the box so that eventually, when I retire my computer, I can store it or sell it in the original box, and I'm not happy that it won't be pristine. In addition, the Apple box wasn't adequately cushioned inside the shipping box. The shipping box got a dented corner, and because the Apple box wasn't cushioned well, it got dented in the same place (second photo). Luckily, the Apple box itself is double-walled, so the product wasn't damaged. (I do know that usually a product review shouldn't focus on shipping and handling, but when I asked Best Buy support whether the writing on the box meant that the product had been returned, I also asked how to submit this feedback to Best Buy, and they advised me to do so here, in a review.)

Bought for my husband and he uses it all the time for work. It works great and he loves the larger screen. Definitely a keep for years to come

I love my MacBook, I am a teacher and the MacBook Air is perfect for carrying around between classes and meetings. It is a way to use and strongly recommend for my fellow teachers!!!!!!!

First MacBook and honestly I love it. I paid a really good price for it and I am grateful for the special they had going at Best Buy. I would definitely purchase another MacBook.

We absolutely love this computer! It’s very user friendly and this is coming from someone who has never owned a Mac! I love the continuity between Apple devices. The battery life is amazing. I was never able to just open my HP and use like I can this laptop.

What can you say that hasn’t been said 1 million times already it’s a Mac. It does what it’s supposed to. I prefer the 15 inch screen for my old man eyes.

I needed a laptop for browsing and light workloads. I got the base 8gb ram version and so far had a great experience. Battery lasts for a long time, runs well and does not heat up even with a lot of tabs open on chrome.
