I have been a MAC user for several years now and like so many others, I have been waiting for a new design of laptop from Apple. The new MacBook Pro does not disappoint. You do pay more for an Apple Laptop, but its well worth it. Amazing fast and beautiful display. Keyboard has a great feel. Love the new charging and connection ports. Great to travel with it, as its super lite weight.

I love this edition of the MacBook Pro! It is super compact, lightweight and easy to cary around. I'm a student who works full time and its easy to bring it into work and carry to class while not having to worry about the bulkiness. The only inconvenience is not having the USB, HDMI and other ports found on older models, but theres an easy fix with getting a small adapter.

The 2017 MacBook Pro is an excellent all-around laptop. Thinner and lighter than previous models, it is very portable even though it is not advertised as such. The Retina display looks great and the screen travels almost all the way to the edge with only a small border. The new butterfly keys take a bit of getting used to but work well overall. Battery life is also great!

I'm a long time Apple user, having several devices over 20 years and the new (2016) MBP has not disappointed me. I chose the one without the touch bar because of the higher cost. I read some complaints about the keys and the touch pad but I find both to be a huge improvement over my old MBP. It's super fast and the displays are great. It's so lightweight too.

Pro's 1. The Screen Wow!, colors pop, easy to read/edit documents 2. Sound, speakers are excellent 3. USB C ensured transfer of data from the old MBA to the new MBP in under 45 mins (196 GB's transferred) 4. Battery life is excellent i.e. 12+ hours (this is for my workflow i.e. Editing/Writing documents, Project Management SW, Pixelmator, Surfing the Web with Safari and Chrome, NO Video, Audio playing in the background off the HDD, minimal iCloud data transfer) Con's 1. Screen is a fingerprint magnet 2. Dark Gray color picks up dust Keep in Mind: 1. Make sure you take into account the initial setup i.e. Spotlight Index, Rebuilding Outlook/Mail DB, Indexing/Upgrading Photos etc), once you get that work done on power supply you will not take a hit on Battery life 2. Ensure you read up on ideal Systems settings off various sites, will make the transition easier 3. New Keyboard takes some getting used to, but not really a showstopper 4. There are just 2 USB C ports, then again I use an external device connected to my Laptop maybe 2-4 times a month, so not really a deal breaker 5. I am jumping from a 2013 MBA, so there is a significant jump in capability from the MBA to the MBP 6. This MBP is smaller AND lighter than my old MBA, I am loving that

Tho computer is very sleek and light weight. I purchased it for use in class college and hate when I have to use a windows laptop now.

I was in the market for a new laptop and was going back and fourth between this new 2016 MBP and the previous 2015 model. Best Buy staff was terrific and made me aware of a limited time promotion on the new model. $300 off with the purchase of Apple Care. A deal too good to pass up! I went without the touch bar, as it seemed to be an expensive option on an already pricey computer that I felt I would rarely use. The build quality on the MacBook Pro is just beautiful. Sleek, solid and just has the feel of being a very well crafted and solid machine. Keyboard is backlit, with no light leakage. The keys are a bit different, but I was used to them within the first few hours of use. The Retina display is simply gorgeous. Text is crisp and clear - pictures and video look amazing. The battery life is terrific as I'm getting a full 10 hours out of a charge. And it charges up pretty fast as well. From 20% to 100% in about an hour and a half to two hours. Speed and power is more than enough for my needs. Internet browsing seems fast. Downloaded a movie from iTunes and it felt very fast. Music from the on board speakers sounds surprisingly good. Went with the new Space Gray color and it looks terrific. Overall, very satisified with the new MacBook Pro.

What can you say? Apple makes the best products out there. This MacBook is no exception. Great battery life, super fast--I love it!

Into our Windows-based home came first the iPods, then multiple iPhones followed closely by an iPad and then, for our son, an Apple iWatch II and, most recently the MacBook Pro® - 13" Display - Intel Core i5 - 8 GB Memory - 256GB Flash. While our son is still learning how useful the MacBook Pro can be for his university studies, classwork and papers what the whole family has already learned is that the integration of the various Apple platforms creates a secure communication and information gathering-processing system of tremendous power and flexibility. The MacBook Pro completes the circle with its beautiful display, solid state drive, ample memory and loads of apps in a lightweight package. An excellent choice for those looking to close a few "Windows" in their house!

Light, fast long lasting battery power designed for easy use

I have been using MBPs for over 5 years now and they beat Windows hands down. Not sure if the Multi-Touch bar is really worth the extra money. The USB-C connectors make it very convenient, and the charger is now a little smaller than before. This latest MBP is lighter and faster than the older version, and is easier to carry in your bag without the extra weight. I recommend getting the one with extra memory as adding memory (if needed) will require going to a service center of apple. BB was good enough torpor match with Amazon. I saved 50 bucks !

Apple MacBook Pros are always top notch devices, and this model is no different. I appreciate the quick boot, fast operation, cool running, and long battery life. I wish this model was more affordable, had greater storage capacity, and was not limited to just two ports. Still, for me, this is a much better choice than the top competitors.

This computer, compared to my old one, is so nice. It's light weight, very fast and the keyboard is so much more finger friendly. Apple is always a step ahead with all the software updates, so the software is the same, but the resolution and display are amazing. I love it.

Even though, it is just what I need! Nice, fast and it doesn’t freeze like the Windows that I had before (SurfacePro 2). I’m always on meetings, travelling in bicycle and answering emails, but I ran 3 to 4 programs on a row (Spotify, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Chrome) and everything works fine. Love the Charger that you can remove everything so that it dosen’t break. I give 4 star because for what we pay, we could get 2 ram or 0.5 GHz extra. It wont hurt them ($) and it will mean a lot when we start using other programs. Sorry my english

Best lap top I’ve owned. I own many apple products and this was a great buy! Quality image, fast, and easy to navigate.

I have never owned a MAC in my life and this was by far the best decision I've made! This machine is like no other and is well worth the money. My child has used it and he loves it as well. The display is to die for! Battery life is pretty good and adjusting settings is quite easy even for the first time MacBook owner.

I own several apple products and have never been disappointed. They look great, run fast and are so easy to operate. I purchased two Mac Pro computers for my college bound grandchildren. They have iPhones and therefore familiar with the operating system. They both helped pick out the model and color. They love them.

I've been a Macbook Pro user for many years (prior to that, an iBook and PowerBook user). My last MacBook Pro was the late 2013 edition, which was getting heavy to carry around. I was glad to see that Apple seemed to merge the MacBook Pro and Air lines into this unit, it's got slightly less CPU power than the "full" MacBook Pro (with touch bar) but performance is Stellar, and battery life has been good for me. I was not interested in the Touch Bar MacBook Pro, as I saw absolutely no advantage to paying $400 for a row of icons-- I had an HP desktop PC that had "AOL" buttons built into the keyboard and never used those. :) The best part of buying this at Best Buy was their price matching-- they say they don't match online retailers, but they were selling this unit at the same price as a well-known New York-based online electronic retailer, *and* they gave me a price reduction when the unit went on sale a week later! On top of it, I got points on my MyBestBuy rewards so that softened the sting of sales tax. A great product, and still a happy Best Buy customer all these years later.

I owned a previous 2012 model MacBook pro and was very satisfied but the new model 2017 is as light as the old mac air and so much easier to carry around. The speed is great and the need for a built in disk drive can be offset by an external if it is needed at all. I am very satisfied with my purchase
