This is the best piece of laptop I've owned! I've been a Windows user for more than 25 years until recently. The keyboard, the speed, the design, the ease of use, the battery life, the monitor--- everything is what I've seen is a LOT better!

Amazing Computer. It's really really fast and the display is gorgeous

Purchased this because my PC notebook with Windows 10 was a pain. Every time trying to use it took forever since it tried to update constantly, you couldn't just jump on and accomplish your task. The MacBook is the first Apple notebook I've owned, but have the iPhone 6 and iPad air and was always impressed with the seamless integration between devices and ease of use. This carried through with the MacBook and was the easiest and fastest setup of a computer I have ever experienced. The price is too high but lack of frustration eased that pain somewhat.

Buy this laptop if you used a MacBook Air in the past and you want to upgrade it. This laptop is best in class in so many aspects (display color, brightness, construction, speakers, battery life). If you are a dedicated professional I can see where some of the frustrations can come from though. As a casual user I have no problems with it, just that it's a bit too expensive. The only negatives are the lack of ports (only 2 USB-C ports) and for some the keyboard. I really hated the keyboard at first and was thinking about returning the laptop, but after a few days of using I really like it and have no issues typing on it for long periods of time. I was able to purchase this on sale though, I don't think it's worth the full retail $1500. $1299 would be a great price for this laptop if you can find it for that.

I really like to have a macbook pro and this one is a great buy with the good price bestbuy offers for open box item. I am a first timer macbook pro user and I had a little difficulty using it. I can not maximize the use of it because I am not familiar with the functions but as I discover something it amaze me. Apple just did a good job on this!

I bought this computer not looking for anything specific, but it definitely beats the laptop I previously had. I don’t use computers very often, but if you only use it for a couple hours a day like I do it will last a couple of days without needing to be charged. This computer can do way more than I expected so I’m happy about my purchase.

Had a lot of Macs and Mac Pros and this one is the best. Came in for a different Mac and associate at Best Buy convinced me this was a better buy and he's was right. Extremely portable and fast. Incredible battery life too.

This is my second MacBook, first Pro. I had my Macbook for 7 years and it still works I just wanted an upgrade. This Pro has amazing color, sleek design and it’s lightweight with many hours of use between charges.

I'm a faithful mac user. This laptop is speedy. My one complaint is the lack of ports/disc drive, which all must be purchased separately.

Best computer I've ever owned. I recommend this one it's super sleek and is very fast. If I had a complaint about it, it would be that there are no USB port you have to buy an attachment for that. But hey what can you do????

I love it! This is my first Mac and it was new to me to even use this operating system. I'm so used to working with Windows. I have some minor issues or maybe don't know yet how to change some things. But computer runs fast. I love to text from my computer. I use it all day for work. The battery time is great. Its just a huge change for me from an older laptop to this one. AppleCare is wonderful too. Omg the tech logged in to my computer in less then a second, and then my phone too. Issued were solved immediately. But I do miss many features on Windows my laptop has. Like backspace button and delete button. Here you can Delete from the back only not from the front of the word. I'm not sure if its a setting somewhere I can change.

I saved up my money for a year to buy this computer. I did all my research, and finally decided to buy this one rather than the Touch Bar version. I got a great deal through Best Buy with my student discount, on top of prestanding sales. I absolutely love the laptop. It's chic, lightweight, and versatile. I can take it anywhere, and do basically ANYTHING with it. I'm starting college in the fall, and I'm happy to have a nice computer to work with. My only complaint is there are only USB-C ports, so you have to buy adapters to use regular USBs/HDMI/CDs/etc. But I love Apple, and I love this computer, so I'm willing to overlook that. :) plus, lots of things are going USB-C now, so it may only be temporary!

I used to be a PC user (for laptops) but got this after trying out my friend's old Macbook Air for a couple months. I already had an iPhone and iPad so I was used to the Mac OS. The computer is nice. Battery holds up fine. Safari doesn't seem to work well (too slow) on this machine so I downloaded Google Chrome to make internet browsing go faster. The machine has two USB-C ports, which require adapters for all the stuff I already has that requires a regular USB or VGA plug in. So if you buy the computer and need to plug anything into it, plan for that added expense. In addition to this machine, I bought other software and applications to run on this machine: MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Photoshop Elements 15. I use it for word processing and very basic graphic design. The screen is NOT touchscreen. Also, the screen on mine got scratched up very quickly, I think from keyboard pressure-transfer when the device was in the closed/folded position. Overall, it's a great basic machine and the 8gb ram helped it run quickly. Except for Safari, which doesn't work well. One pet peeve that I haven't been able to figure out on web forums is how to get the default print settings NOT to be 2-sided.

The laptop is beautifully optimized for the OS and the included software. It runs quickly and the gestures are fanstastic. The screen is a good size and looks great. The keyboard while it leaves many skeptical, leaves me feeling fine after a longer length typing session. Overall while a bit too pricey, Apple pulled trough on this one.

This is by far the best MBP I've deployed. Thin, light, fast, sleek, etc. everything about this device is fantastic. That's coming from a Windows guy!

Love the new MacBook Pro with the exception of Apple changing the ports again. I do not like having to buy new adapters for a device I use so much. Much lighter device and performs as I expect it to.

I purchased my MacBook because the laptop I had for 4 years prior was slow, outdated and frustrating to use. I needed something easy to take with me (this fits in my oversized purse for on the go, and is really lightweight thankfully, but your arm will get tired if you try to carry it for 8 hours as with anything) and something simple. I have iPhones and iPads, but I've never had a MacBook and was slightly scared to make the switch because the platform is so different from Microsoft but I've adjusted easily. Everything I needed comes preinstalled and it's simple. I needed the simplicity. The battery life for traveling has been amazing so far and I'm 100% satisfied and glad I made the switch.

I've always been an Apple fan, regardless of what people say about the brand being overpriced. I had a MacBook Pro (2010) and finally decided to get a new one. I was deciding between this and the Surface Pro, but ultimately went with this because I have an iPhone and iPad. It's a great computer though, always super easy to use and with so many apps and program options available. I'm a music student so I was looking for something that was easy for me to record music on and while I may be biased towards programs that run on a Mac OS, I love using it for music recording/mixing. I don't think I'm missing out at ALL by not getting a TouchBar and I'd still say to get this model over the TouchBar model.

This is a fantastic Mac. The display is beautiful and it is more than fast enough for about whatever you throw at it. The USB C ports can be a pain, but it is an easy workaround with the adapter.
