First MacBook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the space gray late 2016 MacBook Pro with Retina display and 256 GB SSD, which is the first Apple laptop I've owned. I bought it open box for $1259. I've used it for three weeks and found that it's an extraordinary laptop. I most likely won't go back to a Windows pc, although I really liked Windows 10 OS. The battery life is remarkable, and considerably better than my old HP. The Retina display is astonishing. I'm still getting used to the keyboard, but it's performed well thus far. I used the Best Buy promotional Visa card to purchase it, or I never would've been able to afford it. I'm really satisfied with this laptop. I'm glad I chose to buy it. Reviewed 1/5/2017

Beautiful quality display
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not tire eyes like other displays. I particularly appreciate the feature that adjusts the light emitted for nighttime use. The 13" size is perfect. Larger felt overwhelming and oppressive. All very user friendly. I give four stars only because I am a computer novice and I haven't yet completely explored all features.

Awesome laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first laptop that I had purchased on my own and I am so glad I went with a Mac. I had always been a PC user and it took some time to adjust but I love this system. It is very similar to my iphone and it makes it easer to sync my data. It runs really fast and loads very quickly. I would recommend this laptop to other people. The only thing that annoys me is the two new usb ports on the left side. I wish they were on opposite ends so if I wanted to charge my laptop, I could do so on either side. Also, I had to purchase an adaptor to connect my iphone to my laptop. I wish it was included with the laptop. Other than that, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Best MacBook so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very well designed and built, and great performance. Did not need Touch Bar as I use this for programming and file storage. Keyboard feels great; reminds me of the old Dell laptop keyboards.

I love my MacBook!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this because I wanted a lightweight laptop I can carry around to edit pictures and create videos with as a hobby. This laptop did not disappoint! Although the charger isn’t like the old magnetic ones, I’m not too worried since most electronics are gearing towards USB-C anyways.

Great Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Architecture: very good build quality - solid and not flimsy. Screen is amazing. Trackpad - very responsive and solid. Battery Life is long - handles normal use (internet, productivity, and streaming with ease and still maintained around 7-8 hours. Cons: Staying connected to the internet. I bought this as an open box in an amazing deal. The laptop seemed untouched. It hooked up to the internet quickly. However, after about a week, while working on the computer, the internet just dropped out. I thought it was the internet; however, I have an IPAD MINI 3 and it was still connected. I tried to reconnect, forget the network and reconnect a number of times and the internet did finally reconnect after numerous attempts. So, just to be sure, I restored the MacBook Pro to the original specs and the internet connected flawlessly again. I thought the problems was corrected but did buy the Apple Care to be sure. However, about a week later, I again lost the internet while using the laptop with the same troubling issues. MacBooks are a great computer but even the best products have a lemon or two and I personally didn't want to take the chance to have to keep taking the laptop to the Apple Store numerous times to maybe fix it. I did take the laptop back to best buy and considered just buying a new one; however, as a life long Windows user, it was a definite learning curve and I purchased a Samsung which is not quite as nice as the MacBook but it is very close and it was also $700 cheaper on sale -- and it has never dropped the internet. I would still recommend MacBook to a friend because I believe I simply got a rare lemon. I would also recommend the Samsung Notebook 9 Spin.

I have really enjoyed it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a Macbook Air to replace my older one but ultimately I decided on this. I'm happy with the retina screen, the larger touchpad, and the overall layout and feel. The speed is fine for what I do and the keyboard is nicer than my old one. I was a little worried about the USB-C limitations and BB gave me a combination dongle for free when I bought the machine. That is a necessity to run any accessories at this point. I use it to run an external drive, additional monitors, etc. . . . I must say the transfer rate of the USB-C is very impressive. It should be noted that this model does NOT have the touch bar. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared with the early-15 version ,the lastest model has been a lot of change, excellent performance to give us a better experience, we all know its good, I want to say a few questions, first, the belief lamp was canceled, which will let The majority of fruit powder sad, second, butterfly keyboard touch uncomfortable, third, the interface is too advanced, we have to buy a variety of adapters. The battery seems to be no problem. Finally I have a question, the laptop has been activated a month ago, the battery cycle four times, Apple sold me after this is a new, the warranty time shows the error, and later helped me to change the warranty time, is this new Is it?

Amazing laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a MacBook 2010, this new MacBook Pro is like a whole different world. Weighs less than half as much, sleek body and a beautiful gunmetal color. Super fast. I love it.

As advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery life has been excellent so far, and the SSD (I upgraded from a 2011 Macbook Pro) makes processes run as quickly as expected. The display is also great. The USB-C ports are forward-thinking, but there are only two ports and a headphone jack on the entire machine- making an adapter a must for most users.

Excellent laptop; top quality and performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new Macbook pro (late 2016 edition) without touch bar offers top performance, very fast ssd drive and usb C connection. The build quality of the laptop is top notch, as expected. Once getting a full charge, the battery performance is great, as I am easily reaching between 8 and 11 hours for mixed use of Safary, Photos and MS office apps. I also highly recommend purchasing a usb C multiadaptor and a usb C portable ssd drive.

Fantastic upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my aged and almost dead 2011 Macbook Pro. So far, everything about this computer is great. There are certainly performance and aesthetic upgrades relative to my 2011 model but this newer model has the same Macbook Pro feel to it. The only thing I don't like is the new USB-C just because it now requires all peripherals to run through an adapter. But, I'm getting used to it and I think the reduced weight and thickness more than makes up for the inconvenience of the adapter. For reference, I found my 2011 Macbook Pro to be so heavy that I just stopped taking it with me, even when I traveled for work.

Very good but not Mac great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bad part is the battery life which is maybe five hours, lot less than thought. Keyboard is okay but trackpad sometimes clicks inadvertently when swiping. Maybe there is a way to better tune the trackpad. Everything else is great, especially at a sale price. What I like most is that it is quick to bring up programs and web sites compared to my old MacBook with hard drive, plus it runs cool with no fan awareness. The display is bright and beautiful, Most of all, I like the Mac OS environment from initial machine setup to everyday use. I bought one $7.50 USB-C to USB 3 converter cable and someday may buy a USB-C to HDMI cable if I want to hook up to a TV or monitor or, more likely, a docking device that will give me thru a single connection all the connectivity I could possibly want via one relatively small device. The sound is awesome for a laptop. I can also dictate text to it with good accuracy. While the battery life is disappointing, I am very glad I bought this laptop. Especially compared to the Air, due to the much better display.

Great purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop onsale for 275$ less than MSRP, they had the best deal and it was worth the purchase considering macbook's are so expensive. It runs very smooth and quick. There is only 3 ports, 2 USB c and 1 headphone port. Display is clear as w crystal, it is very slim and light weight.

Happy I upgraded from Macbook Air
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved my Macbook Air and was hesitant to upgrade to a Pro because I was wary of the keyboard and slightly heavier weight. Turns out the keyboard is fine, and the weight isn't a big deal at all. Not a hard transition at all to the Pro and I'm glad I made the jump.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was worried I wouldn't have enough room or that it would be too slow, since I wasn't buying the largest one. I do most of my work online and save my working files online as well. But do save photos etc to my computer usually. So far its perfect, no issues. Its my first Mac and I love how it ties in with my phone. I can text from my computer and if I look something up on my phone I can click and easily pull the same screen up on my computer. I love how many of my apps can be pulled up on the computer as well. Only issues is I kind of wish it had a USB port. If I just have my adaptor with me it isn't an issue.
