Love my mac book pro, only real down side it only has 2 usb c ports. As a user who has several addons it would be helpful to have more ports available.

Well built laptop. Replaced a 2006 MacBook Pro. My wife is mainly using it for light photo/graphic design work. We're not fond of only having USB C ports, but the added Hyperdrive USB adapter resolved that. Overall we're pleased with the laptop so far.

Retina macbook pro w/o touch bar is the best deal for your money. The touch bar is a $300 extra surcharge and its a gimmick. You can get away with 2 USB C ports with a simple USB C dock. Well worth the money and got a nice discount from Best Buy and zero percent financing. Cant beat it.

BEST BUY! I purchased when it has deals ($200 off) and its performance good as I expected. The screen use Retina which my eyes wont tired quickly. I am Windows user and need more time to use well. One things I dislike is that it only has USB C port. I had to buy multiple adapter to use other features (USB Mouse, HDMI, Modem). Other than that, good products

I've been using Macs for about 5 years now and had a 2014 one and was waiting for them to go on sale again. Grabbed this one for $200 off no need to wait for black Friday. It's extremely slim and lightweight. Only thing I dislike is the fact it only has two usb c ports and the facts there are literally only 2 usb C ports. But I also purchased a hyperdrive so I'm good on ports forever. Battery life is great and it took. little getting used to but the keys are very fast and cut down. Overall I love this machine. Once you go Mac you never go back!

i've been using this computer for a few months. I upgraded from a retina macbook made within the past 4 years due to my previous one being stolen. Overall, i've been really happy with the computer, but I will put some random thoughts. As a side note, I am a relatively casual user, with some aspects of "power user" (photo/video editing, gaming). -i'd not have upgraded, but for the computer getting stolen. I definitely notice a difference in power, but it's marginal enough for what I do that I likely wouldn't do it without a good reason. -Only having USB C ports can be annoying, but devices that support usb c are super fast. It also allows for an external GPU, which I ultimately intend to get. -The laptop can get hot when doing heavy load tasks for an extended basis. If you are the type that likes to plug a lot of things in, i'd consider a different model (either an older model, or the touchbar model as it has 4 usb c ports. @@@@@@@ Just know, you will be in dongle purgatory until the industry catches up. But when it does, hopefully it will "pay off".
