This computer has a very clear retina screen. The only thing I don't like about it is that the fan is loud.

I like it so far, will see how long it last. Except a few days ago it made weird noise, but issue was resolved on its own

I loooove this laptop! Super fast, crisp picture, and much louder speakers than old models. The only thing I don't love is how loud the keys are but I bought a keyboard cover and that muffles the sound a fair amount.

The Macbook Pro is very nice. The speakers are surprisingly amazing and the build quality is of top notch. But, the fan noise is a dealbreaker to me. It is quite loud when you have many applications going on and you're in a quiet room. I also didn't really like the keyboard and how stiff it felt. Also, when you're typing, it is very loud. Overall, it is a so-so product if you can deal with the somewhat loud fan noise and meh keyboard. I deducted one star for the fan and one for the keyboard.

This is my first macbook. The price is steep but I expected that and wanted a machine that I knew would last me. Aside from getting use to the macbook the only thing I dont like is how loud the keys are. Overall im happy with my purchase.

The laptop is very portable and useful for someone who has a lot of work on it. . the battery life is also good. The only surprises I had were the camera was a bit grainy on FaceTime and I was disappointed by that. Also after a couple of hours of use the fan on the laptop starts and it's very loud. This was surprising because the fan on my 2010 15' MacBook Pro was never this loud. . Overall, still highly recommend it. I use it all the time and I love how portable it's. @@@@@@@@ I don't know much about laptops but these are my thoughts @@@@@@@

This is our 2nd macbook pro. We contemplated going with the surface or Lenovo yoga but the difference in cost was marginal after the student discount. This is a very lightweight machine with the same usability and reliability that macs are known for. My only complaint is the keyboard. It is very loud.

Super fast. Super lightweight. Great picture. Only flaw is that the keyboard is odd and loud when typing. Otherwise overall great laptop, super excited to have it for school.

After a Month of use: The New MacBook Pro is certainly the standard in Apple OS and software, but now lacks many of the ports it used to offer. As you get 2 USB-C ports and a hardwired headphone jack, you have to buy another adapter for $99 to $150 just to get the other ports you used to have on an older Mac. The newly designed keyboard is sunken into the design of the layout instead of a raised keyboard like older models. While this takes some getting used to, the unavoidable loud clacking of the keys are not a favorite and the glowing Apple on the lid when it's open is no longer there. It was replaced with a standard smooth Apple with no illumination. So if you're in the market for a new MacBook Pro, you're going to be in for a big surprise with the design - either you're going to love it or hate it.

My beloved 2016 MacBook Pro just like this one had to be replaced, and Best Buy's price and service were excellent, even though FedEx took an extra day to deliver. But this computer is not even close in quality to my old one. I am so disappointed. And surprised with Apple, as I have never had an Apple product that felt cheap. This one does. I should have gotten a reburbished older model.

I bought this Macbook Pro (2017) model without touch bar for my personal use. Used so many windows laptop that's why I thought its time to learn something else. Bought this Macbook Pro 256GB/8GB Ram $1299+Tax 2nd day of usage I notice this battery drain so fast, and cooling fan makes noise. Then I had to exchange this item with another new Macbook pro. Usually Apple product is not that bad, but sometime you can't predict. Anything could happen with any electronic device. So far happy with 2nd one.

I have known for a while that I wanted to make the jump from Windows to Mac especially with how Windows has pushed updates constantly for Windows 10 (most of them which bricked my laptop). I completed a lot of research on which Macbook I wanted and the specs that I thought would work best for me. I knew that I didn't really need the touchbar, and I knew from previous experience that I didn't want a screen under 13inches. Through research between the Air and the Pro, I realized that the Pro would be better for me and I really liked the screen better on the Pro. At first I was apprehensive of the butterfly keyboard and the lack of ports on the Pro; however, with some use, I find that I don't mind the butterfly keys as much as I thought I would; the one thing that bothers me with them is how LOUD they are when typing fast. Further, I also realized how little I actually used the different ports on my old computer; the one I used the most was the USB for an external mouse and I occasionally used the hdmi for projecting to a projector. I ended up replacing my usb mouse with a bluetooth one and I bought the Hyperdrive hub for all my connectivity needs. Top 7 things I really love about the Macbook Pro and OS: 1. Screen: the retina screen is amazing and crystal clear! 2. Battery life: I can go all day without charging my computer and when I do charge, it charges quickly. 3. Imessage: I love being able to text straight from my computer and being able to use the keyboard for longer conversations. 4. OS: Its been a bit of a learning curve switching OS, but I love how its more streamlined and overall simpler to use. 5. Trackpad: this is the first trackpad I have used that I actually like. I still use a mouse for somethings, but I find myself using the trackpad more often now that I am learning more of the gestures. 6. Speed: I love being able to have multiple applications open all at once and it still being able to run. Windows would have frozen had I tried. 7. It just works. I love no longer having to wait around for my computer to boot up or restart because of updates. The Macbook Pro just works when you need it to. Few things I don't like: 1. I wish that Apple had put one of the ports on the other side instead of putting them together. 2. Cut: I wish the cut feature was more streamlined throughout the OS. 3. The keys are loud when typing. 4. I miss the snap windows feature from Windows 10. 5. I have not found a Microsoft Publisher equivalent that I like, yet. Overall, I am happy that I made this purchase and switched to Apple. The biggest question I have is, "Why didn't I switch sooner?"
