My wife begin teaching online and the PC could not handle the streaming of videos with her students. Purchased this MAC and never went back. It work so well, I went and purchased an IMac for our home. WOW, done with PC. Will be installing a dual boot. Thank you!

Nice, but not WOW'd

As a long time Windows PC user who has moved most of my file management to the cloud, I found that the barriers to switching to Mac was lowered. It's a nice, well-designed laptop and I like the security focus that Apple has taken for all of its ecosystem products. It's not as 'snappy' as I expected. I expected performance more similar to an iPad but several programs take 2-5 sec to open rather than almost instant like I'd expect from this device.

After using a windows based laptop for years the switch over has been amazing. It's so light and easy to take with me back and forth to work and having an apple phone makes working from phone to laptop such a simple switch back and forth

Replacing the old

I bought replacing my 14 year old MacBook Pro that was on its last thread. Hoping this will last just as long if not longer. So far its meeting and exceeding all my expectations. There are few new features that take some time to get use to but overall its just as user friendly as my old one

The Touch Bar is a cool feature but like most over reviewer it’s not really needed. 4 thunderbolt ports. Very close together but not really a issue unless you plan on using all for ports at once. Fast charge.

Works great with all my dj and music production software. Not a fan of the touch bar but I'm old school. Would definitely have chosen the new MBP had it been available, but you really can't go wrong with any current MBP.
