After having PC computer for pretty much my entire existence. I have basically everything Apple. The only thing missing was the “laptop”! Probably the worst purchase I have ever made. I mean the specs for a pro device that is nearly 2k is pretty sad. Compared to the WINDOWS PC’s out there. This Mac ran so HOT I couldn’t use it on my lap for more then 10 mins !! After lite web browsing and Netflix the fans would cut on because it was running so HOT. Not to mention the force crashing on the Apple TV app! I get the eco system of Apple to pretty awesome but I think I’ll continue to buy Windows PC’s until Apple steps it up!

Seem more fragile than older versions of the Mac Book Pro.

Didn’t have 16” which was faster and what I wanted.

The first one I bought quit working after 2 days and had to get a smaller gig as they did not have another one but they did help get what I needed after everything we went thru to get the first one taken care of

I purchased this MacBook Pro as an open item. 600 off the list price on any apple product is very unusual. Even the salesman at bestbuy was shocked to see such a discount. But how could I resist. When I got home, I opened the box and everything looked good. I started the process of setting up the computer and logged into my existing iCloud account. I did not restore from a previous backup or use time machine. Too make a long story, less long, whoever returned the computer to Best Buy installed a Malware called ransomware. I’m not a tech guy but apparently it is designed to steal everything on your computer and prevent you from being able to stop them from taking your files. Even more disturbing, I usually fall asleep watching Netflix. I woke up at 4 am one morning and noticed the recording light for the video was turned on. I checked to see if I accidentally opened photo booth or QuickTime and neither were open. Later the same morning I get an email from my bank saying my atm withdrawal was declined in New Jersey. I live in Los Angeles. I went to my local bank to find out these hackers were able to go into a Wells Fargo bank in New Jersey and withdraw 5000 from my checking account. The hackers also canceled my debit cards and were issued temporary cards to withdraw another 1000 out of the atm. I lost 6000 to save 600. Hmmmm. This is not a knock on Best Buy or apple products. I just want people to be aware that this can happen to anyone. The way I figured out what happened was by going into activity monitor under utilities. I saw ransomware running in the background using a lot of memory and energy. so I googled ransomware and none of it was good. I couldn’t figure out how the heck someone could get so much of my info to be able to go into a bank and pull out cash as if they were me. I filed a police report and WF did a full investigation. I took the computer to the Genius Bar at apple and they wiped out the computer and installed the most current OS and now its all good.

My Mac has had issues since the day I opened the box. I am new to apple products but I am extremely underwhelmed by the functionality of the Mac and the capabilities. At this point in time Apple is no longer the exceptional manufacturer it once was, I am convinced we are only paying high prices for the name because everything else is mediocre with the company. I do not appreciate that my Mac will lose battery life while the computer is shut down. That is trash and the rate at which the battery dies while i am using the device is extremely fast.

Moves slower than my 2016 MacBook Pro… very laggy but the color and picture is great.

Charging drops down very quickly, besides this there is nothing I will complain about

I bought for my husband who said they it took a while to navigate the screens and understand how to work the apple system

It was getting extremely hot and it was using excessive ram on idol. Had to return it

As usual with apple products.... overpriced! overrated! limited!

The camera quality is just unbearable. I do not see how people spend their hard earned money for such terrible quality. I would use my MacBook Pro for video conferences so it is not worth me keeping. I will be returning first thing tomorrow.

I love my Apple product it is Best Buy that I’m so disappointed in.It made me extremely sad to find Best Buy advertising the Apple Mac pro within seven days for over $200 less. Love my Apple product sorely disappointed in Best Buy. This was not a gift this was a purchase for work, for myself due to the timing I needed the computer prior to the new year. Unfortunately Best Buy would not honor theirBest rate guarantee because I had called 48 hours after seeing the ad that was disqualified. Even though they acknowledged they were very sad to see that situation occurred. I am very sad as well. I am unemployed and trying to start my new business. This certainly did not leave a positive feeling about Best Buy.

It has been a horrible experienced. I bought the computer on June 6, waited for about 25 days for it, and the order got cancelled by them because the item was "delayed" and was not going to be delivered on time. I called and said that I wanted wait and I did not wanted to cancel the order, got cancelled anyway. Then, I get an email stating that my money would be sent in the form of a check; without asking me at all, plus the address that they had was an old address. Now I have to wait about two weeks for the check thing to be resolved and mailed to the right address, so I can go ahead and buy the computer that I need. Like I said I was perfectly fine with waiting for the computer.

Computer supposed to arrive Monday and arrived earlier on Thursday. I was outside the country. Payed extra fee for UPS to hold the package UpTo 3 days. When I arrived on Saturday found that the carrier sent back to the seller my purchase back. They don't even wait one day for me to pickup. Totally waste of time for everyone. Tried to found a solution at the local ups store and bestbuy without luck. Now dealing with credit card refund and needed to buy another computer. Very Unhappy

Purchase Apple laptops elsewhere. Laptop was shipped in a box way larger than the product with absolutely zero padding or cushion. I can imagine the wild ride it had during shipping being loaded etc. To make matters worse I’m a bestbuy rewards members and get zero points for this purchase. Hope nature takes its course and Amazon shuts them down completely. PS will not be surprised if I have to return this because of the trash shipping job.

Its just ok, most of the apps I use cannot be used on this which is frustrating. Would not buy again

Apple products are quickly losing they’re valued reputation as being reliable in my mind. I have repeated problems with my new MacBook Pro. Seriously ridiculous, even basic programs that should run no problem, such as Apple TV are constantly crashing or not working properly. This will likely be the last apple product I buy.
