I really love my 2018 MacBook Pro

I will start with the one thing I didn't like about this product and thats the hard drive space, this is a very fast laptop and the hard drive is fast as well but in 2018 -256GB is just not enough. I would recommend this over any other laptop out right now but get more space up front! On to the good stuff -performance - I decided to get the base Touch Bar model that just came out because I wanted to see if the 8GB of ram plus those new processors would do what I needed it to do. I just have to say it hasn't let me down yet and I was surprised, I use this for video editing and photo editing, along with other graphics art projects and even with many things open it does very well and only gets a little warm when exporting video. I use this thing all the time and the one thing I wish is more hard drive space I haven't even noticed it being slow at all with the lower specs and thats saying something because I normally get the 15" MacBook Pro's but when going from 2015 model I never felt the need to upgrade till this year and the time is right specs wise. - build quality - So I really enjoy the size and quality of this laptop and I know there have been all sorts of things negative about the new MacBooks but I really like this new keyboard and its a dream to type on ( for me at least go test one in store for your self ) this is a big improvement if you ask me over last year. then the chassis and screen all seem to be nice sturdy and great build quality I have not found another laptop that I feel has this same quality build wise. - size - Ok I know everyone wants small and smaller but I think that if these things got any smaller for my pro machine I wouldn't want it. This thing will fit anywhere and having the 13" with this much power is great and I can use it places I never would before. -screen - Im not that big into no bezels like everyone else I would prefer sturdy non breaking screen over a full display any day. But this is on par with what you expect from apple it works and looks beautiful along with the new color match stuff built in to color correct in different lighting ( I turn this off for photo and video editing ). Also this doesn't just flip down on me when I move around and it doesn't have a ton of shake that you see in a lot of small form factor laptops, again this part feels sturdy. - Touch Bar - I love the computer but this I could live with or with out it ... I mean it does provide use and can make selecting things faster and I don't really like touch screen laptops so this is a good alternative. But you would have to make your self learn to use it and sometimes it might be easier to move the mouse sometimes its better to leave your hands and select on the Touch Bar ( but I would like the buttons back they moved like esc, just incase ) - Mouse - I see some saying its to big and takes up to much space but this is the only laptop I have found I like to work with out an external mouse and it feels weird to me when you go to other computers in the house and their mouse is so tiny and can't move screen edge to edge. Then I have not had any problems hitting it while I type and I even made it a point to keep my palms down when I type and still nothing, check that for your self because it could be different with different people. But this part makes working easier and feels very nice to use and touch. - ports - Just have to say it but the ports could at times slow you down a little but I really haven't noticed any differences and I just buy things for the USB C and they work and they are fast. Hasn't been a problem and if you need the device for the power and can afford it I would say get it and grab a few USB C things like SD reader and a few adapters till you get swapped out or just incase and you will be just fine! One little thing when doing things with this SSD and USB C storage things move around pretty quick like photo files ( maybe its a good thing but I would have liked one USB or SD port lol ) Over all I am happy I waited till 2018 to upgrade my personal machine and I think this is the time to get a MacBook Pro because I think the look and hardware are better now than in the last few editions. I would recommend and do enjoy this laptop, I will be getting an external screen for home use and screen size and the external hard drive. Get more space up front and if you know you can't work on 13" then spend a few more dollars and go bigger but for the size and price with the options now to get eGPU and hook up and external monitor this is the perfect travel size and power to boot.

When you think of Apple you automatically think expensive if your anything like me. When purchasing this laptop I was skeptical on rather if I should get a fully equipped HP, Dell, or just get an Apple. Just an Apple was my choice because of the brand name, but also because Apple products are always one of the best designs on the market. Apple products are one of the most durable brands on the market as well. With the fully the aluminum body, touch bar, and superior speakers this computer is undeniable. One thing that I do not like is the ports. There are four ports on the laptop, but the ports are USB-C which makes the normal functions a little more difficult to get used to. When it comes to Apple the flaws or the unexpected changes that may be an inconvenience is also what created this brand as superior and is the reason why they can charge you three arms and three legs for a computer. The brand name is established, the style is second to none, and the computer is also one of the best offered. Once you get past the honeymoon phase then buyers remorse it's overall worth it.

I purchased this laptop in September in store for my new college semester for java coding and for everything. This laptop will not disappoint! It has a beautiful display and the quad core i5 processor makes it very sleek and fast so you can do all your work easily. The design is beautiful with a gorgeous display. It is so slim and portable with lots of power. The absolute only thing is that the battery could have been better by 1 to 2 hours more. Besides that, this 2019 version is amazing and everything you’re looking for in a MacBook, ideal for college students packed with portability and power.

I use that Touch Bar constantly. It’s great for listening, editing, and toggling between music. It’s no gimmick, and I’m very happy with the speed and response time of my MacBook. The only complaint I’d have is that the computer is simply too fast to download some of my favorite apps, but that’s not Apples fault I’m sure. Just some app updates, which I’m sure won’t be too far off, will fix this issue. All in all, very happy with my MacBook Pro.

This computer is awesome, does everything I need it to do and more. It is fast and reliable especially when starting. The only draw back is I keep on hitting the Touch Bar when working with windows and I keep changing the fonts which can get annoying. Other than that I love this computer.

Right from when it came out of the box, i have been thrilled with it. It is replacing my Dell Inspiron purchased in 2017. My first Mac and i really enjoy it. It was easy to set up, runs well and has great battery life. I edit 4K footage from my drone in Final Cut Pro X. There is no issue or lag with the Intel Iris chip. I also record podcasts, and GarageBand makes it a breeze. 10/10 would recommend

This laptop is amazing, I absolutely love it! The reviews I read before buying this said the same thing and mentioned it gets hot but I haven't had that problem at all. The touchbar is awesome and very easy to use; it changes depending on what your doing and gives you easy access to the common buttons you would use! It is fast and very user friendly! And the fingerprint reader is a wonderful addition and makes logging in super easy! Great laptop for college!

    My first Apple MacBook Pro...

I originally was going to buy the MacBook Air for budget reasons. it was on sale as well as being the entry level Apple laptop. I was a little weary because it only had a dual core processor. I also had to decide between the 128 Gb & 256 GB SSD models (I ultimately decided on the 256 GB SSD size). I was in the store making my purchase and I thought to check the Best Buy App one more time to look through the Apple laptops and their latest pricing. Also, I always try to price match when applicable. Well, I was shocked. They had the MacBook Pro 13 Touch Bar 256 GB on sale matching exactly the cost of the MacBook Air 256 GB. With the included $100.00 off for being a MY Best Buy Member (which is a free membership). In total, I paid $1199.99 plus 7% tax around the time of the back to school sales. The only caveat to this sale was it had to be the silver model. I found it to be a no brainer to not pay the Apple Space Grey "Tax" at that point. Anyway, coming from a Windows 10 desktop I built the MacBook Pro is a joy. All my Apple devices work together seamlessly. Apple Watch, iPhone, & iPad Pro using Sidecar in Catalina OS. I like the MacOS better than Widows for multiple reasons. I guess it's a personal preference but I find it's just "fun". I'm being more creative. I got Final Cut Pro X for video editing and Logic Pro X for music. I plan to get a MiDI controller which Apple makes painless to set up. With Apples GUI, I'm using Final Draft and Ulysses, making writing a pleasure. Software seems to be a bit more optimized. The ports are all Thunderbolt 3 and this can be a curse or a blessing for some. I use adapters and a hub. I have no problems with the ports and I never new the power available in a Thunderbolt 3 port. There's 4 and I find them to be plenty, powerful and never lacking. There's supposed to be possible keyboard issues but I'm not seeing it (yet?) but Apple does offer a free replacement plan if the keyboard malfunctions. As far as looks it's a beautiful machine. Finely Engineered. I've heard some people don't like the Touch Bar but I find it very functional. The speakers are great for a laptop and the Retina screen pops and is a pleasure. I may be an Apple fanboy, I'm not sure but I'd like to think I'm a good judge when it comes to technology and I'm pleased if not ecstatic with this investment. I hope you will be too.

First time using a MacBook, I’ve always been a windows guy but I was fed up with the errors and crashes, and slow startup with windows so I made the switch! Boy am I glad I did, wish I would have sooner, so easy to use , syncs with my Apple Watch , iPhone etc, and best part is there’s tons of tutorials online to help you learn the basics! It’s very fluid, starts up in under 10 seconds , everything is easy to find and use! I was skeptical at first because of the price but I got it on sale for 1450 and open box certified ! It was brand new never used. For the price I wondered if it was worth it, but I’ve been using it for a month and it’s awesome! I have the one with the touchbar and I know other people say they don’t use it etc, but I’ve been using it right along it changes with ever app or different pages open etc to use for whatever you are using! I find it useful! Now there are some cons! Not a lot of apps yet it the Mac App Store! Ive been using pages keynote numbers etc, but windows people can’t open the files unless you export it to excel word etc! So that’s a tip for you! Lack of other ports , mine only comes with 4 usbc ports, I did buy the hyperdrive hub which works great it’s perfect for MacBook but it’s an extra 70$. Price when on sale is worth it, full price at 1800 I would say no! Better computer than windows and I’m new to Mac so I can tell the difference I would definitely recommend it to anyone, let your crashes and errors go free and get a Mac! I’m glad I did!

It's been an amazing laptop from day one. So easy to set up and get going. I have an iPhone and iPad and they all sync up perfectly. The Touch Bar is a ok, I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't on this, but it is still pretty neat feature. The speed is great for what I have been using it for. The keyboard works great and I do like the feel of it. Easy to customize and the new Mojave update has been great. Lots of cool features. The battery life has been decent, usually get about 8-10 hours of usage. Highly recommend this laptop to anyone.
