It's been an amazing laptop from day one. So easy to set up and get going. I have an iPhone and iPad and they all sync up perfectly. The Touch Bar is a ok, I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't on this, but it is still pretty neat feature. The speed is great for what I have been using it for. The keyboard works great and I do like the feel of it. Easy to customize and the new Mojave update has been great. Lots of cool features. The battery life has been decent, usually get about 8-10 hours of usage. Highly recommend this laptop to anyone.

This is my first Macbook and I'm so happy that I made the switch! The display is beautiful and the sensitivity of the touchpad is fantastic. The computer overall feels very substantial which I like. If you are trying to decide between the touchbar and non-touchbar versions, know that the touchbar is not a necessity, but I find that I use it far more often than my original function keys, which makes it worth it to me. I did originally buy the non-touchbar version but returned it for the touchbar version the next day.

This computer is just amazing. Super fast, easy to use, great sleek design! My first MacBook lasted 8 years, let's see how long this one will last!

Honestly so worth it. So compact and easy for a student to carry. The battery lasts me a day and a half. The Touch Bar makes it easy to maneuver around the MacBook.

I have used two mac before, so I find it easy to use these project, and it performs well. But I think the front camera is not good enough, and it is hot when programming.

The touchbar makes doing tasks super fast! It is very sleek and thin. The multiple USB-c ports are very convenient and the batter life is fantastic as well!

This laptop is more expensive than most. However, for a compact it’s powerful and fun. It’s fast with brilliant color. The touch bar is amazing. A must test drive.

I got a very good deal on my Macbook Pro. The laptop is lightweight and is very sleek. I really like the features on the Mac. Best Buy does a real good job trying to provide a good deal on Apple Products. Eric Salse from the Best Buy Northbrook store is one of the most friendly Best Buy representative you can come across. He is extremely knowledgeable about Apple product and highly recommended this machine. It has served me well and works very well.

I needed a new MacBook Pro and bought essentially the same model as I had. The only difference is that it is updated with a touch bar and different keyboard. I use all Apple products---iphone, iPad and MacBook and love that they all link together and I can see the same things on each product. The first one I bought I returned because the space bar was sticking and when I tried to update the system, it crashed. I had 14 days to exchange it, and on day 12 I just had this gut feeling something was wrong, and I exchanged it for the same model. Now that I have the new one, I know for a fact that there was something wrong with the other one just based on the way it "acted". This keyboard actually feels different than the original one. The only thing that makes me mad (and it is a pretty big thing, but Apple does this stuff ALL.THE.TIME) is that there are no USB ports. There are 4 "C" ports (which they claim all electronics are going to be switching to---we shall see what happens with that) so if you have anything you want to use with the laptop, you have to get an adapter that has USB ports. Since I use 2 Bluetooth mice, one at work & one at home, I needed an adapter with at least 2 USB ports. Apple makes an adapter that has one USB port for about $25. I found one online at B&H Photo that has 4 USB ports & one additional "C" port for the same price as the Apple adapter that only has one USB port. I ordered it & had it within 2 days. But---and this is what makes me laugh--there is a jack for a wired set of headphones/earbuds. When the iPhone 7 came out, I remember everybody going crazy because it didn't have a jack for the wired earbuds & we all had to either buy an adapter (I can't imagine how much money Apple makes from the adapters) or a set of Bluetooth earbuds/headphones. But a 2018 MacBook Pro has a jack for a set of wired earbuds? The one thing that I noticed is the battery life is no where near as good as my old MacBook Pro. Apple claims this is because the battery is smaller to make the unit lighter. If I use any bluetooth accessories, like my mouse or earbuds, the battery life is significantly affected. It charges very quickly though. But, the point of having a laptop is to be able to take it with you with a fully charged battery and get enough hours when you're out & about before you have to charge it again. The charging cord is no where near as long as the cord for my old one---and again, the charging cord for this new MacBook has that "C" port, so I can't even use my old c charging cord, and that sucks because I loved that charger. It was a magnetic connection, so all I had to do was get it close to the port & it would magnetically connect with a "click" so I knew it was properly attached. There was a little light on it too, which would be red when it needed a charge and it would turn to green when it was fully charged, which was really nice. The charging cord for this new MacBook doesn't have that---it makes a little tone when the cord is plugged into the "C" port, but that's it. I can see how the cable and/or "C" ports could get damaged by pushing the cord into the port. That's probably what Apple is hoping for. My 5 stars is more for the performance of the MacBook. And the customer service at Best Buy is great.

I don't understand why many people nitpicking on the 2018 macbook pro. I bought it to replace my macbook pro 2013. It improves the keyboard comparing to last year models, adds touch ID, adds another 2 5Ghz thunderbolt 3 USB Type C ports (4 in total), changes to true tone display, changes to 8th gen quadcore processor (i5 model), siri support, improves speakers. Much lighter, thinner than my old 2013 model. Display is also great and screen ratio is better. I truly have nothing to complain about it except touch bar is not useful to me personally

Overall I do not regret my purchase one bit! I originally had an Apple MacBook Air (2014) and after about 5 years it just didn't work the same. I decided it was time to upgrade my computer as I am a student and use it frequently. The MacBook Pro is fast, smooth, and has a very nice weight to it making it feel sturdy but not too heavy. I ultimately went with the Touch Bar to satisfy the itch, I have no real need for it and sometimes find myself having to remind myself use it. However, 2 months later my computer still feels brand new!

I like the size of this laptop as it fits nicely in backpack. A Touch Bar was a must. Light weight. Compatible with other Apple products.
