Like any Macbook, the system is the key. However, apple needs to review the Touchbar, which is very intuitive but has a lot of problems. 3 months after my purchase I had problems and since I didn't have insurance, they didn't fix it.

Nice computer. First mac, so there is a learning curve.

Very beautiful and works perfect and bright screen

The 2019 MacBook Pro with 13” display stopped working within the first year of ownership. The machine stopped powering on. Fortunately, the first repair was under the 1 year manufacturers warranty and Apple replaced the computer’s logic board (that’s what they call the motherboard). The first failed logic board occurred at 11 months and was just barely within the 1 year warranty. Once outside of the manufacturers warranty, Apple’s repairs are only warrantied for an additional 90 days after the repair. Fast-forward to September of 2021 (13 months after the first logic board was replaced), and now the same part has failed again. The team at the Apple store confirmed it was the logic board again. Despite multiple calls to Apple Customer Service and attempts to “escalate” the issue, I have been unsuccessful in getting any help from Apple to a address the issue. The cost of the repair is $578 which is almost half the purchase price of $1400 (including tax). In talking with the local Apple Store team, it sounds like they are starting to see more of these failures related to the logic boards. The new M1 MacBooks have apparently been significantly redesigned and might not suffer the same fate; however, this is terrible customer service on Apple’s part and not at all what I expected from them… especially considering the pattern of failures. Not sure if I will purchase another MacBook after this stint of quality issues combined with terrible customer support for what’s clearly a defective design or marginal part.

I’ve had this mac for almost a year. I feel like it is dying faster than it should. Every 3-5 mins the battery percentage goes down 1%. Overall, I guess it’s okay.

Returns policy was easy to navigate. The screen has obviously been damaged in shipping and had lines across it. They repacked but did not have like unit so I upgraded.

I liked it but had to return it as I couldn’t do regular work efficiently with the memory size. I got the Mac Pro. Keyboard was also a challenge to adapt to

Not sure why sound doesn’t work in YouTube. With the Covid it’s been hard to take care of routine things like this. Apple usually has a top notch product.

My wife loves it but I think apple products are way overpriced. I like my HP better for half the price and twice the features.

The touch pad requires numerous tries to get it to work. It is a real pain. What else is there to say except I will be stuck with this thing for several years.

Experienced a sticky caps lock key within a matter of days. Stay away until a full redesign with a new keyboard.
