Indeed, is the answer to transitioning to this over from a Air. Perhaps you have a different experience but since I’ve recently received this MacBook. I have now both Air and Pro but this MacBook gets really hot and I am only doing the same things side to side from my air and seems to get to hot while my Air stays cool. I needed this for school so I could work on my photography and now I’ve seem to have to use the Air more because I’m afraid that the Pro heats up and I don’t not want to chance any mechanical failures and for just about 1800 dollars and that’s getting one that’s opened box, certified And looks New only came missing was that actual box. Boxes are penny’s over what you get inside them but. This heat thing does worry me and I’ve made lots of calls but pandemic is hard to communicate so I hope this works out. First in college and already two MacBooks. Fingers crossed I guess.

I love my new MacBook pro I am new to the MacBook family! Previous to this I always owned Windows computers and those always seemed to crap out very quickly. I've had my laptop about a week now and I love it ! The speed is great and I love that I can find really cute cases online. I also got Apple care + with my purchase and I intend to keep this laptop for some time ! The 13 inch screen I thought was gonna be too small for me it's a decent size and fits in many bags or purses. Mine has an IPAPA case on it.

This is another wonderful Apple product. For the price, the performance is great. The size and weight make this a great laptop to throw in any kind of bag to take along. The battery life is good as long as you aren't doing anything processor intensive. The Touch Bar is a good concept and has its place, but is not necessary. It is nice to have the Touch ID as another way to verify your credentials. If you are thinking about the MacBook Air, I would consider this Pro instead as it has better internals and is still lightweight.

Very disappointed. I am not expected brand new Apple iMac book pro will give me the battery issue. Wasted my time picking up and returned it. I will not purchase another mac book pro again.

My family had the MacBook Pro since around 2009 2010 and it was finally time for an upgrade. When I say upgrade I mean New lol. We couldn't do our homework, apply to jobs, watch youtube, or even check our emails. I'm gonna be honest since I bought the latest model, there isn't much of a difference to my old one. I like that these newer laptops are lighter in weight. Some new things I noticed are the new clear screen, Siri, Touch Bar, new different usb slots, the keyboard clicking sound, like only a couple of new updates since the 2009 2010 model. Also there's no disc slot so I guess CDs are history lol. Not complaining but i thought I just point out those details for other people. The thing with Apple is that they make long lasting laptops. I figured I spend two grand to get the newest one and see how long it will last me and my family this time around. Heres hoping another 10 years lol or until I graduate. Overall its a great laptop and definitely and upgrade in the end.

As a loyal MacBook user since the original white version in 2006, I recently upgraded to the 2019 Apple MacBook Pro 13" from the 2012 model. A few days after I purchased it, I flew out of state, and I really appreciated the lightweight construction. So much easier to transport! Other features that I've enjoyed so far include the intuitive Touch Bar and the extended battery life. And, the Space Gray color is nice for a change!

I loved my new MacBook Pro. The machine works very well and the Touch Bar is intuitive. I thought it would be unnecessary but it is nice. The battery is enough and the screen is better than my last MacBook. The keyboard is little bit different if you compare to the MacBook (not pro or air) but after two days I liked it. Take care to buy a good configuration of storage and so on because the cheaper version is not sufficient in my opinion. I recommend it.

Great laptop. Easy to use. Reliable. Light. Just a little expensive. But worth every penny.

This was a nice upgrade from a MacBook Air that was 4 years old. Definitely faster and the screen really "pops" in comparison. I run Parallels for a few Windows programs that I still need to use and the speed is definitely noticeable when switching back and forth. Didn't think I would care for the touch bar and Touch ID, but they are very useful.

I took advantage of the Black Friday deals & I was able to purchase this laptop & Apple care which was almost an additional $300. This was the first Apple MacBook Pro I bought new. My prior macs were used & lasted me for years. I still have my G5 which I use as a file server. I love the Touch Bar & easy ability to add my passwords using Touch ID. Everything setup easily & I was online in less than 10 minutes. My only complaint was Best Buy & not Apple had a promotion where they were offering 4 months free of Apple Music. The promo code was suppose to be printed on the receipt but wasn’t so I had to call Best Buy customer service & wait 80 minutes in order to talk to a rep. They gave me a code but the link to redeem the code on the receipt was invalid. So I called Apple support & they found the valid redeem link. That took another hour or so. In the meantime I was able to redeem the free year of Apple TV+ & get Apple care on my other Apple devices.

This is my first Mac laptop. I love it! It’s fast, responsive and the graphics are great. The one downside is that I didn’t do enough research and look into storage options. 100% my fault. The model I purchased only has 500mb of storage. I do a lot of videos for work and host a ton of data so I had to buy an external HD. Look into storage space before you buy!! Also wish I could upgrade ram and such but again my fault.

My daughter is starting her freshman year at college and picked this laptop to take with her. It has everything she’ll need for her studies along with everything she’ll need to stay in touch with the family. Very fast, compact and easy to use.

I had such excellent help in selecting the right Mac product recently. The Best Buy sales person took his time to explain the differences between one laptop and another and showed me the latest features and their benefits in certain uses. I felt very comfortable making my selection because I was better informed than when I first entered the store. I was able to order the laptop -- it was not available at that time in the store, and it was shipped to the store for pick-up at a time that was convenient for me. I had the option to have it shipped to my house, but since it required a signature, I did not want to risk missing the delivery. Best Buy made it work for me and my situation. I really appreciate the outstanding service.

My 2010 MacBook Pro was a trouper but it finally died so I had to upgrade to a new one. Of course the speed is faster but I have noticed the “wake up” is slower than when I first got it. One thing I really like is the smaller size. My old laptop was 15 inches and very heavy. I travel and had problems carrying it because of weight. This laptop is much lighter,

It’s everything MBP is supposed to be. I upgraded my 2013 (which still functions well). Only beef I have is that years later it still mostly the same design, but I’m ok with it, it’s still better than any windows laptop I can think of. Battery life didn’t impress me that much, but it is better than the older model. I got about 4-5hrs worth work done (browsing, Microsoft word, emails, etc) and still had 30% left. TOUCHBAR: Before purchasing this model I really thought I didn’t need it, but I this sale item came with it and I AM SO GLAD IT DID

Love, love, love it! This is a great mid level Apple notebook. Great size and “pro” level features though if you’re looking for high powered I’d recommend the 15” model with faster processor and better graphics card. This model has only 8gb RAM, and while I haven’t encountered any difficulties, 8gb RAM on a pro notebook in 2019 is disappointing. Aside from the ram this is an excellent notebook and highly recommended. Also, this model has 4 ports and two fans (lower models have only one fan), it has a better display imo than the entry level model too.

I use Mac for home and work And this computer is my favorite so far. It’s light, quick and powerful. It’s my go-to computer

No complaints, easy to set up and very intuitive. Light weight and soundly put together. I do like the addition of the Touch Bar
