Recently purchase the MacBook Pro 13 in, great purchase thus far. This was the first Mac laptop I have purchased, previously had windows based machines. Easy to use, actually bought it for business presentations (power point, etc), but now using it for everything. Quick start up, great battery life, fast computer. Based on this, I just purchased a Mac desktop for my office and I am planning to purchase more.

This new MacBook is amazing! The speed is great, the size proportion is perfect, the pad is great as usual, the new speakers are louder and sound better, & the keyboard received a much needed upgrade. Now... when I run heavy applications or even update things over 1gb, the laptop becomes H O T, not just hot but so hot that it burns! I can hear the fans working super hard in order to cool off but it sometimes freezes and does not let me exit the application, I have the latest software yet it still has the same problem, hopefully with Mojave coming out soon the problem will be gone. Until then, this laptop is a 3 star...

I upgraded to this laptop from an old MacBook Air and wish I had done it sooner! I use my computer primarily for editing drone videos, 3d modeling and microprocessor programming, and this computer handles all these tasks with ease. The Touch Bar seems gimmicky, but it is actually super useful and I find myself using it all the time. In fact, I'm using it right now to type this review using predictive text.

I bought this laptop to replace my 7-year old MacBook Pro. Loved my old one so much that I knew I wanted another MacBook Pro. I don’t use it daily, but when I need it, I want it to be fast and easy to use. This new laptop is both fast and user friendly. I absolutely love it! My 20-year old son used it while he was home on Thanksgiving Break, loved it, and now is requesting the exact same laptop as a graduation gift.

I was able to get this MacBook Pro on a great sale of $1449. The space grey one was $1699 and this silver one was $1449. I wanted the space grey but I wanted to save $250 more. I have gotten a ton of use out of the Touch ID. Not having to remember passwords and just needing to use my fingerprint has been amazing. Plus it remembers it across devices. I couldn't decide between this and the Surface Pro 6, but with the fact that I already own other Apple products helped my decision. The Touch Bar works great and makes changing the volume and screen brightness a lot easier. My only complaint is that the touch b ar could be brighter and I wish the keyboard keys were raised a bit more. It almost makes it feel like I am typing on a pad instead of a keyboard. I don't see what the big deal is about the butterfly mechanism... I don't notice any real difference. Also for daily use I find that the 8GB of memory is more than enough. Maybe if I was doing a lot of coding and video editing it would matter more to have the more memory, but 8GB is fast and responsive.

Latest MacBook is fast, lite, and has great battery life. Screen is wonderful.

I got this as a replacement/addition to my slowly aging 2011 iMac, which has held up surprisingly well. I was a little worried that it might not hold up to my workload (I do some light video editing and other media work), but it's proven to work extremely well with Apple's Pro apps (FCPX, Logic) and other production apps including the Affinity programs. The battery life is solid as well.

Lightweight, compact, powerful and subtle are this computers best qualities. I do not like the keyboard, which is my only gripe, but it is a superior machine

I bought this Apple 13 inch Pro Mac Laptop for my daughter who is beginning college and a Music industry major specializing with playing Piano. She is a natural and very good. Apple has the best platform for her needs. A i5 Quod core,8 gb memory with 512 GB SSD hard drive with a 2.3 ghz processor was the best combination to use thru her 4 years or more for various tasks. I had bought a similar laptop with a 2.4 process with only 256 gb hard Drive. The hard drive storage was inadequate. I returned that laptop. I saw this deal come up at Best Buy. With the student discount we saved $500. Sweet deal for a good functioning laptop.

As a teacher, I’ve really enjoyed this multitasking machine. I only wish I had gone a bit larger on the screen, but appreciate its slim and sleek design. It fits perfectly in my teacher bag without taking up an excessive amount of space. The touchscreen bar on the keyboard is also fantastic and keeps surprising me with its features. No regrets!

This is my first Apple MacBook and is other thing. This laptop is very fast and very easy to work is easier than a Microsoft laptop. I never try it before because of the price but after I spend in 4 Microsoft computers more than $3,000.00 in 7 years I decide to change and is the best changed in my life. Definetly I recommend this MacBook.

This computer is amazing. The size and weight compared to my old 13” MacBook Air is my favorite part. I am still getting used to the touchbar, and don’t necessarily understand how it is an improvement upon the non-touchbar function ability, however since it is the only way to get the quad core processor, I’ll take it!

I love this computer, it's my third MacBook, I got the fist one in 2014 then got one from in 2017 and upgraded my personal to this model recently and I'm so happy with the performance, updated keyboard, screen quality and battery life. Plus MacOS helps with work related tasks as it's much more reliable than Windows.

Purchased this for my son to replace his older 13" macbook pro. This laptop is so impressive and is perfect for all his needs in college. Perfect laptop and will recommend highly to anyone. Cannot get better to have a system that can run both the Unix (Apple system) and Windows on the same system!

Let me just say that I've literally never owned any apple products before, windows and Android have been my cup of tea for my whole life. But now that I'm going into a design degree, I thought it'd be best to grab a Mac laptop since they seem to be the industries choice of computer, and they've been known to be better for art. Ever since starting it up this thing has been my baby! I adore how easy and fun it is to use, everything is easy to navigate and it runs like a dream. Of course since I've been a windows person my whole life, some of my games and programs won't be Mac compatible, but I still have a PC home comp so I can't complain. Overall I highly recommend this laptop, huge bang for your buck.

I replaced another MacBook Pro, also with a 500 GB SSD. This one is lighter, thinner - but the keyboard is difficult to get used to. I love the touch bar - easy to work and I'm surprised that I like it so much. Of course, I'm having to buy accessories with USB-C, but they're coming down in price.
