For data manipulation, machine learning work, software development (running multiple applications at once), or other tasks of this nature - it doesn’t even blink an eye. To unleash the true potential of this laptop, hop into some hi res video editing and let it truly get to work. The battery life of this machine has been fantastic. Even while working on high performance tasks the battery is lasting me all day with no issues. My previous macbook pro would struggle to make it part of the day while performing resource intensive workflows, which was quite frustrating. The screen is beautiful. The liquid retina XDR combined with pro motion makes everything crisp and responsive. They nailed it with going 14”. It’s just big enough to provide you with more real estate to work, without being as big and heavy as the 16” version. I tend to prefer small powerful laptops and this one is just right. One component of this laptop that really surprised me was the audio. The six speaker surround system makes audio fun to listen to. I was honestly a little shocked by it the first time I heard it, and started to look up my favorite songs on youtube just to enjoy the listening experience of the surround speakers. I also recommend Best Buy for completing this purchase. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They assess your needs for a computer and make sure that you get right right fit without making you feel that someone is trying to upsell you or talk you into buying something that you do not need. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase. It’s quite incredible the amount of power and battery life they crammed into this machine, while still allowing it to run cool and look good. I utilize this laptop for resource intensive tasks and continue to be impressed with its abilities.
