Open Box - False Advertisement

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've purchased open boxed items before so I knew that there was a 70% chance I would get burned by the description said by the website so I traveled the hour trip to get to the Burbank store to inspect the item in person. The staff that helped us pulled the box out and because it was already inspected by the "geek squad" of their store, we can't inspect the device any further. The box said "excellent" and for the reduced price I took the gamble and purchasee the item anyway. As soon as I got home and took the item out, the screen was damaged. Figures. I took it to the best buy near my home in Palmdale to return the item and it gets even worse. They start blaming the other store for their mistake and said I would have to return it in person over there...over 50+ miles away! Customer service is below par and so was the item. I wouldn't trust any open boxed items from this store ever. You're better off going to a more reputable third party online stores. Their certification for used items are better.
