Apple has come through again with a powerful laptop. We upgraded from our 2011 model to this powerful model. The I7 processor, 16 GB Ram and the 512 SSD (Solid State Drive) makes this a powerful system that will make even the advanced user very happy! My only complaint, and my reason for giving only a 4, is that it only comes with 4 USB-c ports built in. To connect all your peripherals (USB drives, HDMI devices, camera cards, etc.) one has to purchase USB-c Hubs that have the ports you need. Some are simply USB-c to USB 3 or other single connections and others are multi-port devices. The cost for these hubs range from about $20 to $200. A few multi-port hubs can be found in the range from $75 to $100. My feeling is that Apple should include an external hub with the ports most commonly needed with the laptop. With the hefty price tag on the MacBooks, the extra hub would not hurt Apple's profit margin. And it would allow purchasers to give this MacBook a 5 rating.

MacBook Pro 15 1/2" screen lots of bells and whistles I'm in love. My first Apple Laptop and the sales staff was extremely knowledgeable. I am more interested in followup support with Apple and would probably drive to Short Pump for the expertise. I am amazed that I haven't gone apple before. IBM is complicated about everything. Apple is drop down menus, point-drag-drop, its amazing. There are a few things I haven't figures out yet but I will I need some more time with apple support who are absolute dolls. I can't believe my good fortune OMG why did I wait so long? I was scared of the change in technology .

This is my first experience with a Mac. I have to say I debated heavily on if it was going to be worth the the high ticket price. I can say now that I am over the moon with computer. It’s truly the best of both worlds. I installed windows through boot camp, very easy process, and use windows to play games and Mac OS for pretty much everything else. It’s super fast, fairly light, and has great battery life. This is by far the best laptop I have ever purchased. There is a bit of a learning curve, having been a pc user all my life, but once you play get the hang of it you’ll never go back.

6 Cores, plus hyper threading for 12 cores total, 512GB hard drive, i7 processor, good graphics.. Plus it's apple.. This MacBook Pro replaces the last one I purchased 6 years ago that is still in decent condition but definitely needs a bit of work done to it.. When I purchased this, it was on sale so it was a great bargain. The Touch Bar, while I thought t was going to be semi lame, actually works really well and for some apps, very convenient. I don't think I need to go into much about how great this device is. My environment is within the Apple eco system. iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, Apple Watch 1, Apple Watch 3 and my MacBook with a couple of Beats headsets and such. Everything just works seamlessly between all of my devices. One of the cool features I like with this version of the MacBook that I didn't have with my other one is the ability for the Mac to unlock by my Apple Watch being in close proximity.. Definitely nice to sit down and not have to worry about entering my password.. Looking forward to another 6 years.. If you purchase one of these, purchase the apple care warranty... if you ever have to use it, you'll be glad you did.

I upgraded from a 13 inch 2014 MacBook Air. I like the current generation's design & space gray hue. I really appreciate the spacious trackpad, and the sound quality is on point! The 6 core CPU and the DDR4 RAM definitely boost the performance compared to previous models. It's powerful enough to meet all of my daily needs and has a pretty decent SSD size. Another plus is that Apple finally fixed their butterfly keyboard issue with this model. Make sure to pick up a dongle adapter/hub as you will need it with this machine.

I tried some similar windows laptops before this one and all went wrong in some manner. This gives you the best screen, speakers, trackpad and outstanding performance while stays cool and is comfortable to use. The battery is great even though it has a so powerful processor. Also the OS is good for almost everything and has nothing to envy to windows, but if you need it you can always run windows natively. Im happy with my purchase.

After six years, I decided it was time to upgrade my MacBook Pro to the latest edition. Very glad I did. Speed is commendable and the graphics much sharper. The touch bar is very intuitive and presents icons for whatever software is being used. Took a bit of getting used to, but I'm using it more and more. Would have preferred to keep USB ports, but Apple loves to change things. Bought an adapter at the same time for many USB peripherals.

Apple May have out done themselves with this new MacBook Pro by not only appealing to professionals and creative audiences but to the wider public. The design is fantastic with a slim light body. The Touch Bar displays button that change depending on the application or task to give quick short cut for workflow. The lack of ports is one con and the pricing is in line with Apple’s quality and technology.

Purchased this MacBook about a year ago. My earlier MacBook lasted a long time but started to shut off while I was working. This New MacBook works well and contains more memory, more storage and more speed than my older one. I can charge the battery once a day, or even less, and it's always ready for use. The price is a little steep, but hey, that's Apple.

What can I say? I’m a Mac man! It seems like apple is constantly raising the bar on all of their products and this laptop is no exclusion!!! It’s fast, it’s sleek, it’s light, and the graphics, Wow! Thank you Apple for continuing to create unlimitless and exceptional, spureb products!!! I can’t Bragg on you enough!!! And THANK YOU Best Buy for carrying apple products too!!!

This laptop in its current specifications is exceptional. The storage, RAM, and graphics card are a good balance of performance and affordability, especially for someone like me this uses Adobe Creative Suite regularly. I’ve switched from a Windows laptop and haven’t regretted my decision. The device has allowed me to simplify my life.

Upgraded my 2011 MacBook Pro to this new model and absolutely love it. The touchbar is a helpful little extra, but the power and speed of the this new computer is incredible. Somewhat annoying having to buy extra cords for flash drives and SD cards, but I like that it keeps the laptop itself much lighter than my old one and easier for travel.

This is my 1st Mac. It took a little while to figure out how to use it, but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty awesome. It's very fast. The display is nice and crisp. My only complaint is the price of all the dongles that you need. It only has 4 USB-C ports on the side, so unless your device us USB-C, you need an adapter.

The 2018 Mac Book Pro is extremely fast, with the i7 Gen 8 6 core processor and 16 gigs of RAM. The new touch bar knows where you need to be before you do and is very easy to use. The keyboard seems to have been changed from the earlier models and has a much better feel. Outstanding Apple quality as expected.

I saw that the macbook pros were updated, I traded in my 2014 macbook pro and 2016 macbook and got about a 1000 usd off. It was totally worth the upgrade, Noticeable improved speed when opening apps, and smoother video rendering. you would have to get used to using the touch bar but I find it very intuitive especially when adjusting brightness, volume and you could drag/ rewind/ fast forward videos on youtube in safari. I would recommend buying the hyperdrive to have old usb ports, sd card, hdmi and extra ports.

Long story short; this is my favorite electronic purchase thus far! My last apple computer was the MacBook Air 2015/16 & to think I was beyond content using that!!!!! The second the screen turns on on this MacBook Pro it’s like a new world! The graphics are INSANE. Lighting has various settings to please the specific eye! I am a photographer/videographer & this MacBook has MORE than enough room & “engine” power for professional material that’ll last well over 10 years! This is a true, life bettering investment that has so many beneficial aspects you literally find something new each day! (That is, unless you read the handidandi booklet it came with) Absolutely LOVE the touchscreen tool bar, and I’ve gotta be honest cus I absolutely DESPISE touchscreen computers, but this new feature is definitely an asset & definitely ADDS to the experience without it being cliche or “cheap” . Lol It’s a true masterpiece!

Cant say enough good things about it. Moving from a 27' iMac was concerned about the size difference but its not that noticeable and to be able to be mobile again is worth the change. The speed is incredible and the display is amazing. Couldn't be happier.

This is an excellent laptop. I replaced my iMac with this computer, and I'm glad I did. The screen size is perfect. Large enough to use as a desktop but still small enough to travel with it. The screen has great brightness and colors, and I love the natural light shifting it does to mach the surroundings. It does this without you noticing, and I only noticed how well it works when I turned off the feature to compare. Speed is amazing, it never hesitates to do anything. I don't game, but I have complete faith that this would run most games well. The keyboard does take some getting used to, and there are complaints out there about it, but I don't mind it. The Touch Bar is a little gimmicky, it's neat looking, but I can't find a good use for it other that it's just there. I love the computer over all, I'm very glad I bought it.

Great computer. Frankly was overkill for my uses. My only complaint was the keyboard felt really weird, but otherwise: Incredibly powerful, easy to use, great screen, and great features. Absolutely reliable, but boy o boy is it pricey.

this MacBook Pro replaces my 8 years old mac book pro. compared with the old one, the new model is elegant, fast and helpful. it bothers me that i need new adaptors and a deck with the ports ... i think it's more than i need really...but i like it
