Love my Mac Pro 15"
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't know how much I had forgotten about the Mac when I switched back. There are so many new features that are great on this computer. I'm glad I spent the extra to get the Touch Bar with the larger screen. If you are going to carry it around a lot is isn't the lightest computer. I would recommend this computer for anyone.

Heavy CS and music production user
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hype about the skinny F-bar screen issues scared me from being an early buyer when this class came out. I waited it out and pulled the trigger. No problems whatsoever. I've been using employer-bought MacBook Pros for 10+ years, but this is the first one I purchased with my own money. In addition to being a heavy Adobe Creative Suite user, I'm also one of those people who leaves a million browser windows opens. Trust me, I know how tax a laptop's day-to-day memory and workload. This laptop is doing just fine after several months of usage. (Barring the expected constant mismatch of OS updates that make Avid's ProTools incompatible... I've learned to just update the OS as late as possible in order to be able to continue using Pro Tools... that's an Avid thing, not Apple's problem). My only knock is something that was negated by my purchase of a j5create docking station -- Apple's getting rid of all the USB jacks on this laptop is a pain, but we all know that Apple tends to be the leader in forcing the new, next jacks that the world needs. (Ask Blackberry how well servicing people's habits works out as a business plan). Just get a docking station for all your dongle/jack needs and you'll have no qualms with this Mac.

My very first MBP!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming purely from Windows products for nearly fifteen years (never thought it would ever come to this), the switch isn't as hard as I feared it would be. This particular model (MBP 15", i7, 512 SSD, 16GB RAM) is pretty powerful for what I needed it for. I've picked up Photography as a hobby, but soon realized I wanted to do more with it. Comes the decision to purchase my very first Apple laptop. I'm not saying Windows PC couldn't handle what I wanted to do, but after all of my research, I kept landing on MBP, not only for portability, but also for functionality. For the longest time I always worry that switching to a different OS was going to be a pain, but in reality, there's not much to it. It does take getting used to, but I really don't find it a whole world of difficult. I do wish that the laptop was a little lighter, because I did not expect it to be quite heavy just by looking at it.

I love my MacBook Pro!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 8 years my old MacBook Pro slowed down, and time to replace. The new one is speedy, easy to use. Sometimes it’s hard to track the cursor on the screen. However, I find that a small issue. The Mac continues to be a superb machine. It’s great for photos. I also admire the security features that come with it!

Just what I needed to pursue my dream.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the top of the line computer to replace my old dying MacBook Pro, bought way back in 2011. I plan on pursuing a career in graphic design so this was a much needed upgrade. While the touch bar takes a bit of adapting I was up to speed in no time. I love this computer and am very glad I purchased it.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performance using as a workbook or web browser. Battery life is excellent. Boots quickly. Never any issues. Would like the keyboard to be a little more tactile. I’m not proficient with the Touch Bar but if I were I do believe it would bring more value and enjoyment to my computing.

2018 MacBook Pro 15in
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a 2018 Space Gray MacBook Pro 15in with 512gb and love it! I had my old MacBook for 8 years, so I know they are good quality, long lasting computers. It's fast, lightweight, great graphics and programs, also easy to use once you know how to use a MacBook. I'm so happy with my purchase. Thank you.

Outstanding laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Designing on this is so smooth. Working in After Effects is smooth. The touch bar is awesome! This is a great, thin, sleek and good looking laptop. The display is the best part. The downfall is the inputs. There is only 4, type c inputs. You have to buy adapters for USB, HDMI or anything else.

Great laptop does get a bit hot
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love the new MacBook I picked up it looks slick , is super light and has handled any task I’ve thrown at it I am barely scratching the surface on what it’s capable of, it’s my first Mac but have tablets and phones etc and work on tech so needed the knowledge the only reason it’s losing one star is due to the heat when sitting on my lap while gaming this sucker gets too hot when using on your body while Using a cpu intensive process beyond that it’s a great machine

Excellent Product from Apple after MacBook refresh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for update to your MacBook with latest configuration, this year is the go. 15 inch 2018 MacBook Pro 2.6ghz upgraded base model offers blend of power, memory and storage (512gb) to meet all user needs. You won't go wrong with this MacBook Pro. Some other feedback: Excellent experience from Bestbuy.com and Store pickup. But While returning in store at Bestbuy due to low price at competitor , customer support was bad, and local store customer service guy was rude.

Mac is a Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use MBP (2015) for my work, so initially I bought Dell XPS 9750 for the home laptop. That was a terrible experience and I had to replace (within dell i got 4 replacement all had blue screen when i ran dev IDE like VisualStudio / Android Studio) so here I am back with the trusted MBP(2018) Dev User - As a programmer all the challenges what I had with Dell has been completely handled and it just gave me a peace of mind The android simulators run without much of issue. Style & Use Very light weight compared to 2015 MBP and the keys are bit different and it takes time to adjust to the new keyboard layout. The trackpad area is very huge and sometimes it causes inconvenience. I have now left with too many adaptors and most of my old accessories have become obsolete. All vendors has to adopt a common standard. Price point - its expensive as compared to Dell but I believe my pain points what I had with Dell has been addressed.

Amazing computer!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple has done it again: another amazing laptop. This is my first MacBook Pro and as the old saying goes "Once you go Mac, you never go back". It is super fast and I know it will handle my workload for (hopefully) 8-10 years. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Great laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this while on sale and saved $250. This is my first MacBook of any kind and was pleasantly pleased with the performance and ease of use. The one thing that is a bummer is how hard Apple makes it to upgrade your system and the prices you pay for upgrading.

Best computer in the market
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It simply works. Everything is perfect, from its design to its performance. Yes, it is expensive when compared to non-Apple alternatives but the MacOS user experience is unmatched. If you are heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem this is a must have.

Very nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the MacBook Pro for my daughter who is away at college. I have used high-end PC notebooks for many years at work and was very impressed by the Apple product. The overall package presents as high-quality, keyboard and touchpad have a nice feel, touch-bar was a little gimmicky but cool, and . . . finally . . . the retina display is a "Wow". The only feedback from my daughter is that she likes it. The base applications are good and she is already familiar with Apple software because she has always had i-phones. We added an Adobe software suite for schoolwork and have a license to install MS Office which she doesn't seem to be in a hurry for . . . at this point anyway.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) with i7 chips
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My late 2011 MacBook Pro's graphics card died for the 2nd time and decided it was better to put that repair money into a new MacBook Pro. Lucky for me it was on sale for $2400($400 off list price). It has a 500 GB solid state drive. For the price it should have more GB. Has 16 GB of memory and it can't be upgraded to anything larger. Mac's have always be easier to use and understand than Windows laptops, so I do have to pay the higher price of a Mac. It has 4 "3.1 USB" ports and 1 is used for the power cord. The power cord is not like the older ones with the magnetic attachment that will detach without damaging the cord or computer. If you accidentally pull the cord, it will not come off and might pull the laptop off the table or damage the power cord. :-( It is a much lighter laptop and the sound it puts out is quite surprisingly good.

Fantastic Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent quality screen, speed is very fast, need to get upscale router to leverage capabilities. Taking some getting used after 20 years of Windows but worth it. Very intuitive. Cannot wait to play with the graphics. Worth the money.

Great Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This version of the MacBook Pro has a faster processor, quieter key strokes and the option of more memory for you picture hoarders! Overall I think it’s a little better than the 2017 version but not by much! I would still highly recommend.
