Customers are saying

Customers admire the MacBook Pro 16" for its expansive screen, impressive performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate the convenient Touch Bar and long battery life, along with its lightweight design and high-quality speakers. However, some find the price to be high and express concerns about the limited number of USB ports and occasional heat generation. A few users also mention noticeable fan noise at times.

I bought this computer because my last Mac was over 5 years old and it was the music recording software (Ableton) was running a little slow and the battery was shot. This Mac is awesome for all my needs and I love the Keyboard, speakers, battery life, and the Touch Bar.

The graphics are great and the speed. Going back to a 16" from 15" is a nice feature. Nice and light weight. As usual pricey and don't understand why Mac's have not become more competitive price wise. Also, you can not upgrade this new model all integrated.

Awesome upgrade from the i5 macbook air from last

Bought this for my son for college. He had the macbook air with the 13 inch monitor and he loved that one but this one blew the windows off the other one. Compared the the MacBook air this was not just a little step up this was like a enormous step up. Way way faster with the i7 compared to the i5 and this had more memory way faster cpu and its the new type of cpu that intel came out with so it has your main core and it has efficiency cores,so the speed this has compared to the i5 in the last one is an amazing upgrade. Hands down this was worth every penny from the bigger monitor to the faster cpu to more memory and way better gpu.

I really like the MacBook Pro. Very easy to use and the size is great. The toolbar is a nice feature and easy to use. The speakers sound really good. Overall if you are looking to get a Mac, I would go with the Pro over the Air.

Had a bit of a problem loading my programs at first. Love the lit keyboard & bright screen. Large monitor screen fits my needs perfectly. Light weight, longer battery life, & great body color. Had to purchase a USB-C multi-port Hub to connect my multi USB Thumb Drives, USB-C port, & SD & Micro SD cards in addition to being able to connect to Ethernet & HDMI.

I never wanted to switch over to the Mac world of computers expecting a difficulty getting used to the eco system layout. Now after a month using the MacBookPro, it has has been amazing. Fast to boot-up, and nothing feels better than having all your Apple products sync'ed and working together. Seamlessly go from your iPad or your iPhone, to your MacBook to continue doing what you were doing. Available login with your Apple Watch, or finger scanner, makes getting to work easier than ever. The speakers in this laptop are the best you have ever heard in a laptop, period. Only drawback, you can't upgrade any hardware on your own, so what you bought is what you got and moving up to get more can get very expensive. Still a great buy and no problems so far!

Windows User Switching to MacBook Pro

I've been a Windows user for as long as I can remember. I have never invested in a MacBook mainly due to the high price-tag. Prior to this laptop I had a HP Envy x360 15 inch touchscreen laptop which I loved. However, the MacBook Pro is the best laptop I've ever owned. It's a really great laptop for college students. The aesthetics are amazing and it integrates perfectly with other apple devices. I have an iPad and an iPhone which I can airdrop files from to the MacBook. I also use the app, Notability, for downloading and taking notes on all of my PowerPoints on the iPad. If you buy the app on the MacBook, the notes sync automatically from your iPad to the Notability app on your MacBook and you don't have to do anything. If you are a student with several Apple devices, it may be more convenient to purchase a MacBook. Also, there have been several reviews complaining about the Touch Bar, but I simply love it. It has so many uses. I also appreciate the wide range of apps you can purchase for the MacBook. Some of them have been very useful. There are however, some cons to having a MacBook as it lacks some features that Windows laptops have readily available. Apple needs to make their laptops touchscreen and they could still improve on the keyboard. I've found that I prefer the keyboard on my old HP laptop to the MacBook as the key travel seemed to be superior to this one. I've had this laptop for about a week since purchasing it and the "e" key already seems to be having issues. I'm also a firm believer that consumers should not have to pay an extra $379 for Apple Care after already spending thousands of dollars on a laptop. I only spent about $800 on my HP laptop and never had any issues with it. You pretty much have to buy the Apple Care just in case anything stops working on the MacBook. My friend bought this same laptop and her screen stopped working after about 1-2 years of use and advised me to purchase the Apple Care. You also cannot close the laptop with even the thinnest of camera covers on it due to the potential of damaging the screen. Really there are pros and cons to buying both a Windows laptop or a MacBook laptop. You just have to weigh them and make that decision on your own. Overall, I am very satisfied with the features of this laptop and the integration with other Apple devices.

I am coming from Windows PC. I am impressed with the battery life and it comes around 8-9 hours for daily activities. I got a 500$ discount for this product and hence I think the value is pretty decent. The only thing I am worried about is the software support of apple to this intel Mac. I hope they support at least for 6 years. The speakers are just wow. Though they call it as a magic keyboard, it is no match for the Thinkpad keyboard that I possess. But on other this is the first laptop where I could do all of my work without the need of mouse. The trackpad is just better and blows other trackpads out of the water.I got the baseline model because it came under a heavy discount else I would have got 13 inch Macbook pro. If you are planning high end 13 inch MacBook Pro (1799$ one) I would suggest spend 100 or 200 bucks extra to get 16 inch as it is much better in all aspects except for the portability. Sometimes I push my laptop, I do not want it to thermal throttle. A 13 inch is not for heavy tasks as thermal is bad. In fact , compared to other laptops at this price range, thermal performance is bad for Macs because of they are thin. 16 in. MacBook have good thermal design. Overall, you will not be disappointed at this purchase.

Brought this latest version of MacBook and as usual Apple has his another grand slam. With hardware and size upgrades this 16" version is a little heavier(due to larger screen, bigger battery) but after awhile noticing it wears of in time. New(but old) keyboard feels great, the addition of a physical esc key is nice addition. I can sit here and write a thesis on why I am an apple fanboy but ill just say apples pricing is over the top but its commitment to excellence is also over the top.

Computer is gorgeous and awesome. Use it for work. Upgraded from 2011 13" MBP. Screen is gorgeous, the apple universe of devices work together so well. I have not done major editing work on the computer but it seems to handle photos from my iPhone11Pro and GroPro Hero3 black really well. Any amateur level stuff doesn't make the computer sweat at all. I dont game on it, and if you're buying a MBP for gaming well, good luck with that. Keyboard is one of a kind. I really like it. Touchbar is ok, glad esc. key is by itself. Touch ID is nice too. Speakers are quite good for a laptop. The only thing I dont understand is why they used the 720p camera for facetime. This is an amazing, premium quality machine with a budget webcam. But its nothing to throw the MBP16 2019 away over. If you are looking for a computer that will last you the long run, like i said before I had a nearly 10 year old mbp working great for web-browsing and basic word processing. everything about this machine screams quality at the work its meant to do. I think aesthetically its the most gorgeous computers out there, not to mention the display is on another level. I plan on using this for another 10 years at the minimum!

This particular computer is great. Fast. Battery life is amazing. I would say that it is substantially bigger than the 13 in model but it is faster. Great for having multiple programs open at one time.
