My 13” MacBook Pro was slowing down and showing its age. This one rock. Despite its size, if feels lighter and is thinner than my circa 2014 machine. Although I thought the Touch Bar was silly at first, I have learned to rely on it for quick functions like volume control or repeat functions in iMovie. The new keyboard is responsive. The only negative is the inclusion of all c USB ports. So old peripherals need adapters. Otherwise, this is a fast, solid machine. Highly recommended.

Replaced my 13 in 2012 Macbook pro with this. Besides the improvements over my old laptop which I was expecting to see such as battery and processing speeds, the speakers on this are what has so far impressed me. They are leagues above my old laptop. The touch bar doesn't really do anything for me, kind of miss my old volume buttons, but haven't played around with too many other features on it yet.

Apple has listened to their customers and has finally crafted a Macbook Pro that's a worthy successor to the much-loved mid-2015 model. The keyboard, which was formerly a break-prone butterfly mechanism is back to the good ol' scissor switch style. While there may only be USB-C ports on these new machines, there's a least a plethora of them. 2 on each side and any of them can accept the power adapter, meaning you can plug in the Macbook on whichever side works best for your setup. The TouchBar is beginning to be supported by more apps and the Touch ID sensor works quickly each and every time. Speed alone, this computer flies. You can even install Parallels with Windows 10 if you need to use your Windows apps...and this thing FLIES compares to even the best Windows laptop. I had used Windows laptops basically my entire life except at work, but I'm now an Apple convert. Put simply: It simply works.

I bought this to replace my MacBook Pro 15" (Late 2016). I wanted to wait until a new model came out that had specs that really surpassed those of my Late 2016 model. The 16" met all my requirements. It handles everything I throw at it. I like the extra screen real estate, the bigger trackpad, and definitely the extra horsepower and hard drive space. I regularly use Parallels to run some Windows 10 business apps, and Windows 7 for some ancient hardware interface softwares. The new i9 MacBook handles running even 3 operating systems at the same time as though each were running native, on its own hardware. For funsies, I also use Fusion 360 to make furniture designs for my woodworking hobby. It runs soooooooo fast on this new Mac. Since Fusion relies on CPU for rendering, having an 8-core processor makes render times conveniently short. Not much else to say about MacBooks. They're top of the pile for quality hardware. As a former Microsoft Partner since the DOS days, I bled PCs for decades before switching to Macs. I still regularly use both out of work necessity but I choose to do it all at least on Mac hardware. I've had every model of Mac since 2011... literally (13" Pro, 15" Pro, 11" Air, 13" Air, 15" Pro, MacBook 12", 13" Air Retina, iMac, iMac 5k Retina, Mac mini, etc etc) and not one of them has ever failed. I can't say that about the PC products I've owned. I often work in some of the most remote parts of the planet and I need my computer to always work. For me, nothing does that better than Apple's computer products.

This is my very first laptop that I’ve ever bought an owner and I probably didn’t need such an advance computer considering the only experience I’ve had with one was with my advanced graphic design class back in high school bout 9-10 years ago but figured if I’m gonna buy one might as well get the boxes one and if I’m gonna learn how to use one learn and use the top of the line product the Touch Bar seems unnecessary but man do I love it sure does give it that “hey check out what I can do with my fancy computer” haha and since I’m not the smartest when it comes to computers it actually does help me out instead of looking for a certain key I can press the bar an control certain things the wide screen makes watching my YouTube videos seem like I actually watching it from my tv, the speakers sounds great and is very loud if only you could seem my 2 friends Reactions when I decided to play a song from it they thought I was using a blue tooth speaker asking me how I was able to make it so loud before realized it was the computer my only issue with the computer was and it was expected was how easily my screen cracked after only 2 weeks which was adding salt to injury cause I didn’t have enough for the Apple car when I bought it and when I did have the money it just so happened to be the last day and I had no internet at home due to remodeling and no hot spot cause my brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max was being replaced cause my friend cracked the screen while taking ofF my phone case After owning it for 3-4 weeks I was lucky enough to still be able to purchase Apple car for the phone which is why I planned on getting it for my laptop as soon as I had the money to do so but things happen for a reason I still have no idea how the screen cracked in the first place I was so scared of damaging it that it took me 3 days to finally take it out the box all I did was close it and it’s not like I slam it or anything I literally use the tip of my three fingers every lightly I even bought literally everything I needed to protect it and some of the Over priced accessories That normally came with computers and use to come with MacBooks but hey I get it companies need to be different and come up with new ideas just never thought anyone would think of giving people the same product every year for the last 10 years and charge more every time you take something off it making it unique to only they’re product that they can now change whatever for but I guess you guys need the money more then us specially since most ppl aren’t working now days and I only work half the time I use to so I get paid half of what I use to an makes me ineligible for unemployment but at the end of the day Apple I love your product the love your company and I’m going to continue to bend over maybe even touch my toes and put some lipstick on every time you come out with a new number/name so yea the computer it amazing and I can’t wait to use it again hopefully in the next month or 2 when I get it back just praying it’s less then half the price I payed for the entire thing and we’re almost done with week 3 and I still haven’t gotten my cell phone returned to me I was just suppose to have the screen replaced so if I can get that back before the iPhone 12 comes out I’d really appreciate it

Got rid of my 2018 MBP 13” for the i9 16. While it is heavier and bigger to lug around the screen is absolutely immersive and a thing to behold. Use it for healthcare and had 30 pt records open in 30 different tabs in Chrome and not a glitch Nor performance issue. Full-size keyboard is nice and a 4 ports are nice, as you can charge on either side. Using it with Apple TV and or another screen using the new sidecar function makes for a powerhouse for presentations and group work projects. In sum: best laptop out there for folks with $$ to spend.

This is a great MBP if you are looking to do any kind of video editing in iMovie. I upgraded from a 13” Mid2012 so, this one seems to be lightning fast when exporting a video! The screen is the best size if you are using the computer as your primary machine. The device is not too heavy, and it is slimmer than my old MBP, so that’s a plus. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

My new Apple Macbook Pro 16" is everything I'd hoped for in a laptop. Operates quietly, nice weight, and the screen is excellent! The keyboard is nicely lit, quiet, and has plenty of space for my hands to rest while typing. I could use a bit more battery life but forgivable because of its outstanding performance.

Welp! I lasted almost a whole year with my XPS 15 laptop and used it primarily for school. But man did I miss the apple MacOS ecosystem. I’ll give credit where it’s due, the XPS is a great machine and handles almost anything you can throw at it. The XPS keyboard is not as great as the Magic Keyboard but still feel great. I almost never experience ramp ups with the XPS even with dozens of tabs open with Edge. Full disclosure it was an XPS 15 with 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1650 Ti, 256 GB of storage and an Intel i7 10875H. So why the switch? Integration. All of my devices except the laptop were Apple devices and truth be told, I’ve been contemplating for a long time coming back to MacOS. Finally I did and I’m happy to be back. This MacBook is a beast of a machine and looks like it’ll handle pretty much any task without any hesitation. Suffice to say I will be staying within the Apple ecosystem for the foreseeable future. Although I know there is going to be a refresh of the MacBook, I will highly doubt this one’s getting a meaningful refresh. So, happy with purchase!

Just a price match reminder upfront: Best Buy will price match major online competitors. At least two of them have this same model at $300 off rather than the $100 off Best Buy is offering, but Best Buy will price match for you! I have had multiple used MacBooks in the past. This is my first new one and it is a marvel of engineering. I have used it for a while now and it has been a very refined experience. I love the screen, touch bar, keyboard feel, and all of the other details Apple got right. Most recently I was using a Razer Blade 15 (2018) for my design work, but it tended to run out of juice fast if I was doing anything that required significant resources. I think Apple has really struck a nice balance in this model between power and longevity. Apple is also going to be releasing an OS upgrade that will increase the battery life of newer MacBooks, so that's nice as well. I didn't realize how much I missed Apple until I came back, and they hit it out of the park with this MacBook Pro!

This is an excellent MacBook. I love the nice 16 inch screen and its so fast it doesn't skip a beat. The keyboard is nice but honestly I didn't mind the older butterfly keyboards. I do like that the esc key is separated from the touch bar now. This computer does everything I need from photoshop to general office programs and its a joy to watch Netflix on.

This is an excellent laptop with outstanding performance. However, it becomes very hot if connects to an exterior monitor. I hope Apple could develop an app to allow users to manually turn off the GPU. I like the giant screen although it is heavier than macbook air.

My new MacBook has been working perfectly. I use it for music production and it has been handling simultaneous use of multiple plug-ins and audio interfaces. The only slight negative is the fan can get somewhat loud, but this can be fixed via some user intervention (found tips on YouTube). Love the speed and the display is beautiful.

This is my third MacBook. The first was purchased more years than I care to count was passed on to my son for college. It survived me, him and is now in the hands of his friend because I just purchased this one, again passing down my last to him as an upgrade. You get what you pay for is the saying and it totally applies to Apple products. I charge it overnight and work all day on battery, remoted into my office PC. The keyboard is vastly improved over previous models and the extra inch in screen size is perfect. The only knock is when any gaming graphics card is used (The Radeon Pro in this case) the laptop gets super hot and the fans run at full speed, which is loud. Apple still has not improved cooling of high end graphics chipsets. If you plan on gaming on this, make sure you have a cooling mat for gaming laptops.

I actually bought the 15 inch first, 3 days before this came out, and ended up swapping it out since I still had the time. So glad I did, not only is the keyboard finally back to a total touch typable standard, as well as just being more comfortable and confirming of key presses, the jump in graphics processor, ram, and SSD space for the same price were definitely worth it, but the biggest surprise to me has been the speaker quality. It's the highest sound quality i've heard from a laptop EVER, even after owning HP computers with B&O speakers, there is NO comparison. This is the pro laptop we've been waiting for since 2016 from apple. (sans any upgradability, but that's more common from everyone these days saddly) And even if it wasn't 100%, they definitely listened to quite a bit of customer suggestions in this computer. PS, unless you're into photo/video editing or digital design, you probably won't notice much different with the display, but if you are, the slightly improved resolution will be nowhere as big of a deal as the more accurate color gamut, and changeable refresh rate for the first time on a built-in mac display. Pros/Power users will not be dissapointed.
