So far I love everything about this computer! Super fast, great sound, great screen, everything I thought it would be. The Touch Bar is really cool too although I haven’t used it that much yet. I recommend MacBooks to anyone looking for a laptop. It will last you a long time and I find them very intuitive.

It took a computer this good to make me finally retire my 17 inch Macbook Pro. I am a large guy that likes the bigger laptop. This 16 inch fits all of my needs. It's quick and very reliable. It is also so much lighter than my 17 inch was and I take my laptop everywhere. I could not be happier with this purchase.

I’m an old school Apple guy and still have several desktop systems. I had been putting off moving to a laptop due to not liking the keyboards and sizes of other models. I also had PC laptops to use for every day work. I bought this model based on the size and reviews of the updated keyboard. And the fact that I suddenly found myself teleworking 80 percent of the time. Man, I am happy I did. The unit is a perfect size and the key stroke action is great. The system is fast too and has been able to power through everything I’ve thrown at it from graphic design to video. The weight is perfect and I’ve been able to connect it to most of my older peripherals. The one draw back is you will need adapters for all those USB driven items. However, those are easy to find and cheap. I have even been able to run two large 4K LG TVs as monitors using HDMI cable connections. The video quality is incredible and it allows me to have a huge working desktop when doing design and graphic work. This was an excellent purchase and brought me back to loving MAC.

I've been a loyal Apple user since the PowerBook G4. Generally I go out of my way to defend Apple and argue that their products design and quality more than justify the cost‥ sadly I can't claim that to be the case here.
The 16" MacBook Pro is physically beautiful. macOS X is so much better than Windows I can't even begin to tell you‥ but this thing runs absurdly hot almost all the time and whenever activity goes up above idle, its fan comes on to the point where I without exaggeration have to put on my noise cancelling headphones in order to tolerate sitting next to it.
I mean I get that if I'm compiling code with 8 cores or exporting H.265 video or the such it'll run hot and be loud, but how is it this bad just sitting there with nothing more than Safari and Messages open with almost no significant CPU activity ‽
I'm so frustrated with Apple here and I really hate leaving a negative review, but if you're reading this, I *highly* recommend you skip this model and just wait until Apple comes out with their Apple silicon based MacBook Pros because unless you don't the noise, this sitting next to you and running so loud will be a constant source of irritation.

We replaced a 2015 MacBook Pro with this new model and couldn't be happier. The magic keyboard, touch bar and touch id makes this computer easy to use. The screen is amazing and it is about a pound lighter than the old laptop, though it has more of everything. Great flexibility on charging through the USB-c.

Recently upgraded from a windows based operating system to Apple. The battery, screen size and performance are all top notch for the price. Best Buy also price matched for an easy purchase.
This MacBook Pro is truly amazing and a very powerful laptop!!! Highly recommend, A+++

Great screen and very good performance. I had a few issues with mine right out of the gate (network drops, screen issues). All issues seem to have been resolved with a combination of resetting NVRAM, PRAM, and SMC and Mac updates. I also had to turn of auto switching graphics.
I’d rather have control keys instead of the touchbar.
I use it mostly as a desktop replacement, powering two external monitors. It gets pretty hot when actually using it on the lap, which is annoying.

After using years of windows laptops, I wanted a change. Attracting MacBook Pro 16’ was ideal to buy with Best Buy’s exclusive offer.
Great device. So far excellent performance graphics, battery and ease of use.
I do use for data science and analytics.
Only downfall is thermal management. It is on par with i9 processor. Bottom Surface Gets little hot after use of 1 -2 hour of heavy processing use. Still good enough compare to other devices. But it could be better.

I got $200 off on this computer, and it runs Great! It's configured just like my previous MacBook Pro Mid-2015 but of course is much faster.
I set it up from the Time Machine Backup of that previous computer and was up and running in no time. I was already on Big Sur on the old one, so all software conflicts had already been resolved.
My laptop bag even still fits! (͡• ͜ʖ ͡• )
Two important points:
The laptop comes with Four USB-C ports but No regular USB ports. Yikes!
I had to purchase a "j5create - USB Type-C Triple Display Docking Station" to connect to my Two older, but still excellent, Dell monitors, as well as a new cable for each of them. In order to save more money, I purchased several USB To USB-C adapters to continue using several accessories.
Despite reading some negative "press", I LOVE the Touch-Bar!!!
All in all a Fabulous Laptop!!!

I have had almost every generation of MBP. This is the best. SPEED, KEYBOARD,SET UP,SCREENSIZE, DISPLAY, GRAPHICS, BATTERY, Im serious.. Right out of the box the best. Latest 16 inch is worth the inch . One star deduction for price. It's typical of Apple to charge a hella lot.

Love It.... Works perfectly. Can balance my video and photo editing workload like a BOSS. Doesn't over heat which is a major plus for something that is running almost 24/7 and battery life is good for all the work that is done on it.

MacBook Pro 16" - It's a beauty!

I was on the fence buying this over the top MacBook Pro with 16" screen, i9 processor, and 1TB SSD. I really wanted the new M1 processor, but all the stores were out of stock and I wanted to replace my seven year old MacBook Pro 13" sooner vs. later.
The store had a 16" tricked out open box, and with the larger screen newer keys, and fastest MacBook Intel processor...plus 12 month interest free financing. So, I decided to jump on it. I'm glad I did.
The screen is GORGEOUS! Colors and brightness are so pure and clear. Touch ID, large track pad, great sound, touch bar, large battery for a full day of use on one charge, and rad graphics card.
If you're on the fence and looking for an outstanding MacBook, look no further. Especially if you can find one at a discount...you won't be sorry.

This is coming from a lifelong PC user, who hasn't used an apple product since the Apple II in elementary school. I was looking for a laptop with longer battery life, and this claimed 11 hours, twice what my HP gets. I'm still getting used to how a mac works, and which programs do what. It's not as intuitive as I hoped it would be, but that could also be just me, and 30 years of using other systems. The screen is nice and bright, speakers are loud and clear, and the keyboard seems responsive. Not sure I'm a convert, and I'm sure I could have gotten what I was looking for for less than half the price in another computer, but so far, so good.
I am a firm believer that apple products are overpriced, and this is no exception. That said, i should have paid the extra money and bought the new one, instead of the open box. I went for the open box, excellent condition, geek squad certified one, and I'm disappointed in the arrival condition. Outer case is dirty, smudged, and scratched. Track pad is smudged. Keyboard shows wear consistent with a shelf display. I didn't expect new, but I did expect clean, and this was not.
If price is no object, and this is what you're looking for, then go for it, but spring for the new one.

This MacBook Pro is really what I needed both with speed, ease of use, and power to work from home. In my role I typically have two to three programs up and running at the same time, and with the sixteen inch screen I am able to accomplish everything need.

Was in the market for a new laptop. I'm cross-platform, so choosing between a PC and a Mac is always an issue. Ended up getting a souped-up gaming PC, which I really loved. It was super sharp, sleek, and had lots of appeal. However, the whole time I had it I kept wanting to connect my old MacBook Pro from 2011. As fast, pretty, and powerful as it was, my heart still longed for a new MacBook! I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. Also, I didn't think I would get used to the Touch Bar, but what a welcomed addition! I find myself using it more and more!! The only drawback is I wish they were a little cheaper in price. I wouldn't say they're totally worth the money, but I did buy it...

This laptop is so flexible I love how you can customize and tweak so many small details to suit your own personal preferences. Personally I like to go big so I upgraded to the Core i9 with the 5500M 1TB SSD and the performance has been beyond my expectations.
I also have express how the new form factor of the MacBook with the new keyboard and 16" display compliment the hardware and the overall build quality is completely worth the price.
I do regret not upgrading to the 32GB RAM, but I still have time to exchange the laptop under BB returns exchange policy, and I also am hyper-vigilant about protecting the laptop from overheating but using a cooling pad on my bed and stand at my desk because the Core i9 does tend to heat up under heavy workloads.
I recommend this laptop

This is my third MacBook Pro and my first 16” version. It is amazingly fast and responsive, I use it for photo editing mostly and compared to my previous 13” MacBook Pro (2015), this machine is a thoroughbred. Well worth the money.
