Customers love the MacBook Pro 16" for its impressive performance and large screen size, frequently praising its ease of use and the innovative Touch Bar. While some users mention the high price point and heat generation, many appreciate the lightweight design and excellent speakers. Concerns about the limited port selection and fan noise were also noted.

Pricey but great product. Great speakers and graphics. Speed of computer is great. Love the touch bar. New charger is a plug in vs the magnetic charging piece but it's okay.

After 6 years; the continuous Windows updates became too much to deal with on my Acer laptop and I decided it was time to put it out of its misery; despite it serving me well, especially the last two years during the pandemic!
Faced with making the choice of what to replace it with led to the usual questions. What brand should I buy & how much should I spend? Since this would hopefully be my last major purchase before retiring in a couple of years, should I "buy what I need or get what I want? I found myself in a conundrum; torn between sticking with a Windows operating system or putting myself out there and buying a MacBook. "Make the switch" our kids told me; "You'll love having a Mac!" After using Windows based desktops & laptops for over 20 years I'd become the resident expert. Moving to a MacBook would put me back at the "bonehead level!"
After a couple of weeks of research and the anguish of going back and forth on cost and brand, I stopped just short of a coin flip and decided to buy a MacBook Pro. It would complement my Apple product line (iPhone, iPad & Apple watch) and hopefully I’d gain some efficiencies along the way. And I decided to let the words of Indiana Jones “Sometimes that first step into the darkness is the beginning of a great adventure” calm my anxiety about The Big Switch! Once the decision was made it was all about the specs and the price. And then the sky opened up (well actually my inbox) and there was an email from Best Buy with savings I couldn’t pass up. I placed the order for a MacBook Pro 16” display with Touch Bar; Intel Core i9; 16GB memory, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M & 1TB SSD in Silver a few days before Christmas. Before buyer’s remorse could set in, it was delivered to the front door courtesy of FedEx. One I opened the box I decided there was no turning back!
Setting it up out of the box was simple, but not without challenges. Learning the new keyboard & key function took some time and college kid intervention (while they were home for Christmas) but nothing they couldn’t walk me through or just set up at my request. Thankfully the kids advised me to get a docking station to be able to connect several devices I had. The Mac is powerful, quick and has taken my profanity without recourse as I have fumbled and stumbled through figuring out the differences between Windows and iOS. I do use mine with an external monitor and it took a while to figure out how to get it to work with the lid closed! All I can say is I’m thankful for Google, YouTube and college age kids who both have MacBook’s!
Bought the Apple wireless keyboard & mouse a day after I received the MacBook as I couldn’t cope with the “key confusion” my old wireless keyboard was giving me. I’m about a month in and loving the set up (most of the time). No major problems using it while I’m working from home other than WiFi connection and that’s not on the MacBook. I’m a multi-tasker who has multiple things open at the same time all day long for work. I haven't taken it off the docking station so I can't really rate the battery life yet. For now, it's sitting where it will be most of the time. All in all I’m very happy with the decision to move to a MacBook and look forward to growing my “Apple” knowledge and putting the Windows days behind me!

I love almost everything about this MacBook Pro. The screen is now 16" and is beautifully sharp and bright. The processor is fast, and the solid-state drive is quick and more reliable than the platter drives. Going back to the scissor keyboard is a great thing--hated the butterfly keyboard. I even like the space gray color better than the silver. So, what do I not like--the trackpad is too large, and often gets touched accidentally while I am typing, resulting in all sorts of weird things happening.
You ask below my opinion of the "value" of this computer. You must be a Mac aficionado to consider this an excellent value. I have been a fan of Macs since the first little "1984 box." Compared to that machine, this one is a tremendous value.

Great laptop. Was available same day and was available for curbside pick. Works amazing. Very lite weight and screen quality is great. The touch at is very helpful and sound from speakers are great for such a thin laptop.

Bought this for my son to replace his six year old MacBook Pro. It has a sharper screen and it is faster. It also has more speakers so sound is much better. Also, the touch bar is a great feature.

I fine the Apple computers to be fast, pixels are perfect, the software off the charts, I like the keyboard, and the style of the laptop.
The amount of RAM and space they have is sufficient.

As expected, this Apple laptop is very capable and will work hard for the people who need the power. The integrated graphics card is perfect for utilizing more graphically taxing tasks like photo, video, or audio editing, but the computer naturally runs hot and will kick on the fans very often.
The display is big, bright, and extremely beautiful. I can have multiple windows laid out and never feel like I am running out of room, especially when I scale the window sizes down in the display settings. The keyboard is clicky and akin to the style of keyboards Apple had in their laptops prior to 2016. The battery life is decent, but can run down quickly when I am doing any sort of heavier task or am running many programs.
Since this has an Intel chip, I can even run Windows on here using Bootcamp and play a few light games as well!

Going from a powerful Windows 10 touchscreen Asus to this MacBook Pro was a great move. Much faster and easier to use. It’s battery life ease of use and speed made sure I would never use Windows again.

It was purchased for my wife, and she hasn't had it long. However, first impression is that it is much faster than her previous Apple Mac Book Pro. The graphics memory and increased RAM make it much more enjoyable for her to work with. The SSD drive makes boot up much faster, and she really appreciates that. It's impossible, at this point, to know just how much of an effect the i9 processor has had. For me, it's not the most attractive Apple I have seen, but the performance is impressive. I miss the illuminated Apple Logo, but since it was purchased for my wife, and she doesn't really care much for aesthetics, it's not big deal. A ten key pad would be nice, but my wife really doesn't care about that either.

After using a MacBook Air for 8 years and always running out of space and power with its low ram and storage, I decided to upgrade to the new MacBook Pro 16". The speed and power are very noticeable, while the display is amazingly better than what I experienced with the old Air. I have not begun editing photos and videos on it yet, but I can tell it will be a much smoother experience. The keyboard is much smoother and quieter than the MacBook Air I have been used to.
My only peeve is that even after paying all this money, you still need to buy other accessories like the USB Hub to connect anything that is not a USB-C to this MacBook. But then, its Apple. It's always the case!

Build like a tank, great keyboard, and an even better mouse, and the display is amazing. The i9 is a powerhouse and I cannot stop singing its praise. I used this laptop as my mobile workstation. I do some web design: visual studio code and phpstorm; graphic design: photoshop and illustrator. I use all those programs simultaneously, and the mac did not stagger, freeze, or complain. The only issue I have with this computer is the battery life. It seems that I am always looking for a plug.

Long time Apple product user. This laptop will eliminate the need for a desktop computer for most users. Powerful processor, lots of RAM, excellent graphics processor and display.
