I love it. Super clear screen. Really easy to use. The internal fan sounds pretty loud sometimes, but other than that no issues.

This MBP is absolutely amazing. The new magic keyboard brings me back to the good old days of apple keyboards. It's such a joy to type on. I have yet to come close to even making this machine work hard. It's fast responsive and incredible to use. The battery life is absolutely amazing on the machine. (Side note for battery. Upon first boot and setup give the laptop a few days to index all the data and or encrypt the drive as well as index data. Once that background process is done the MBP will easily go 9-10 hours on a charge)

Great computer- performs really fast, no issues except for the high price and the lack of ports but we purchased a dock also.

This is my 3rd MacBook Pro and by far the fastest. I’m very computer savvy, I’ve had som issues with overheating and some random shutdowns. If you use and external monitors lower your refresh rate to 60 hertz. My monitor will do 144 but that will cause overheating. I’ve had some random shutdowns that forced me to reinstall macOS Catalina 10.15.7 and start over. That seemed to fix it. Make sure you know how to do Time Machine backups and restore. I went with the i9 model and very happy with it overall. The keyboard is much improved and the display is crisp and clear. I didn’t want to wait for the new M1X models because I use DAW software and plugins and they all run on Catalina just fine. Glad I was able to get this before they were gone.

Replaced my MacBook Air and couldn't be happier. Excellent choice for music/video production and mobility of my studio. Love the Touch Bar ... so easy and convenient. My previous aforementioned had a 13" screen which I used with a 20" external monitor which I have now removed as the 16" screen is sufficiantly visible for my needs. My desk is now less cluttered and easily has enough room for my interface, audio monitors and mic. More than enough processor and memory for my needs.

This is a top-notch machine! The i9 is super powerful and they cooled it properly this time around. It's rather quiet and quick at most applications. I love the silver color also, which looks good with a nice skin on it. It can handle pretty much any task, including heavy graphic intensive applications. I was actually looking for a windows laptop to use as well as this (for the programs not found on Macos), but the experience on this is so good I'd rather use bootcamp for Windows than buy a Windows product.

Beautiful to behold and superbly built, this MacBook Pro is far faster than I imagined. Paying the extra for the i9 version is definitely worth it... it leaves my 27” iMac Retina 5K in the dust when doing video editing in Final Cut Pro. Love the display too... the 16” offers a lot more real estate than most other laptops without making the computer unwieldy... it’s actually physically smaller than an older 15” MBP I own. If you’re looking for a powerful yet portable workhorse, you really should check this out.

Apple does do an amazing job with laptops. However, just a few caveats as yes the i9 chip does get hot even tho the thermals are much better supporting higher peak performance. I use software to increase fan speed and that does allow for a higher wattage for longer (although the power supply doesn't provide enough juice especially when using the AMD graphics). Also, given how Apple allows customization of the screen's refresh rate, why not build an LCD that can go higher than 60? Maybe they will when miniLED comes out. Also, a 720p webcam still, really?! Finally, why no WiFi 6? These little things add up to make me reconsider my decision to buy the laptop, but I did get a super good deal. This is my first MacBook Pro ever. The speakers are so amazing I stopped using my external speakers (tho don't expect that awesomeness to carry over to boot camp).

I bought this to get my daughter through college starting this fall, but also to allow her to continue with her hobbies: video & photo editing, as well as music recording. The extra CPU cores will assist with her hobbies, and the RAM & SSD should be enough to allow the machine to come out the other side of college as a useful laptop (for at least a couple of years). I haven't seen any of the "ghosting" issues in the display. The sound is the best of any Macbook Pro so far. Obviously, the speed is excellent.

As expected, it meets / exceeds all my expectations and needs. I’ve come to expect the very best in every measure from Apple, and this new MacBook is nothing less than superb. History: I was upgrading from a 2014 iMac 27” 5K desktop machine. I’d had a laptop prior to the iMac and decided to return to a laptop for portability. I’d recently loaded Final Cut Pro on the iMac to edit large video files from a new Hero 9 camera. Between the demands of FCP, and lots of 5K videos from the new GoPro, the 2014 vintage iMac was sluggish. I loaded everything on the new MacBook and it runs efficient, seamless, and smooth as silk. Uploading/ downloading big video files, and all editing features within FCP are significantly faster. The colors are spectacular! The new taskbar feature isn’t a gimmick— it’s a snap to use and keeps those frequently used commands handy. I’ve heard the prior MacBook keyboards were clunky, clumsy, and noisy. These new keyboards are a dream, with quiet, effortless keystrokes. The appearance of the product is like other Apple products . . . beautiful products that set the benchmark. Very important I mention the Best Buy sales person. His name is Chris. I walked in with the specs from my old iMac and asked him what I could expect upgrading from a 2014 iMac to this 16” MacBook. Chris explained every detail of what I was getting, comparison/ contrast, and what improvements I could expect. Chris is personable, professional and his technical understanding is superb. Moreover, he managed to increase my payment plan from 12, to 24 months by making a call to the Best Buy card services. Guys like Chris are the face of Best Buy and will translate into me returning and suggesting others shop at Best Buy Tualatin.

I own a Windows-based laptop already (MSI Stealthbook) but this MacBook Pro blew me away. I am an amateur filmmaker, audio engineer and avid graphic design artist...this MacBook does everything I need and more. The screen is beautiful, the 16gb memory makes it all very snappy and the SSD inside makes load times almost non-existent. The only way you can get better is if you have a custom made MacBook from Apple's site but unless you're rendering a lot of 4k videos and effects, you don't need anything more than this.

I’m impressed with the speed of this machine. I like the Touch Bar too. I’m new to Apple Mac as I’ve been using windows products since 1997. But like most apple products, it is intuitive. There’s a learning curve and some applications look different in a Mac than it does on a PC[ Quicken for one instance, which is better on a pc ). It’s probably more computer than I need but why not get the best?

I was struggling with whether I should go with the 16g or 32g of RAM, but after purchasing the 16g I am very impressed and happy. I had 15 various applications open and there was absolutely no lag. Wonderful product and I would recommend for anyone. The battery life has been quite impressive as well. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend this product and I'm not even an apple person. This is the only apple product I own and it's by far a great product. Not a huge fan of the price tag, but it's definitely worth it.

Best computer I ever had. I run multiple pieces of software simultaneously without lag. I wasn’t a fan of the touchpad at first, but now I don’t know how I ever lived without it. This isn’t a computer for you unless you’re running software suck as protools, photoshop, etc that requires a lot of ram and a fast processor. If all you do is YouTube and surf the net, this is overkill. If your in music, film, or entertainment and you need stability and security, this is the computer for you.

I had a 13.3 inch 2017 MacBook pro and the laptop starting have some battery issues so even with AppleCare I thought it was time to get a new laptop. Since I mostly use my laptop in a docking station, I thought why not get a more powerful laptop so I decided on the 16 inches MacBookPro. This laptop has a great screen, and the keyboard is just great. The very fast. Very good purchase.
