I am a 50 year old IT pro who also is into gaming, so up until now I have always rolled with a gaming laptop (Windows) - going back 20 years. As I have gotten older, I game less and less on the go, and I became sick of dealing with laptops that sound like a jet engine whenever you do anything remotely demanding. After reading about the success and excellence of the new Apple silicon, I decided to take the plunge into Mac-land, and I can honestly say I will never go back to a PC-based laptop again. With this MacBook, I can actually use it on my lap (gasp!) without blocking a fan or burning my legs. It barely gets warm. The screen is gorgeous, and the sound is unlike anything I have heard from a laptop. I have yet to hear the fans turn on either. It is dead silent. It does have some games that will run just fine on it, including one of my favorites - Rimworld. I also fired up some Divinity Original Sin II and that runs great as well. Battery life is also fantastic. I can use it casually for a couple of days before I need to charge it. I've seen some people say this is a little heavy for traveling, but I used to lug around a 15 lb (including power brick) gaming laptop so this thing is light as a feather by comparison, and it doesn't need to be plugged in all the time to do things. For those coming from PC, yes there is a learning curve, but it isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. All in all I have no regrets converting to MacOS and I see this MacBook Pro lasting for many years. It just blows away anything I have ever used and it is not even close.

A powerful machine with the Apple M2 Pro silicon chip is great for power users also excels at multitasking as well as multimedia creation. Apple M2 Pro 19-core GPU gives a very Fast display also excellent for High performance gaming. I love the increase in size from my old 15 inch MacBook Pro now at 16.2 inches Screen size and a resolution of 3456 x 2234. This beast screens with app windows opening almost instantly. The battery life is great up to 22 hours in average use. And with 3 thunderbolt 4 ports I get fast connections for perhipherals like external HD and SSD as well as many other devices. My backups now screen with a SSD drive attached. A very solid and well built backlit keyboard that is going to give me a long life I believe.

This MacBook Pro is insane on how fast it is compared to my previous iMac. 16 gigs of unified memory paired with the M2 chip is an incredible combination. My recommendation is by the 16 inch as you cannot make the screen bigger later.

It is better than all the rest. This is the best laptop I have ever purchased. It is expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for. I def recommend buying AppleCare. The battery life is even better than my old m1 MacBook 13", which I did not think was possible. The screen is the best I've ever seen. I did buy the m2 512gb version first and ended up swapping for this model. The 512gb version uses a slower chip. If this is in your price range just know you are getting the best laptop available.

It’s really hard to review this MacBook Pro - tech has gotten so advanced I feel Apple can’t really improve upon themselves at the moment. However, I was pleasantly surprised upgrading from the M1 Pro 16. Pros: -Touch ID feels faster, not sure how it’s even possible. -Audio feels about 10% better, louder, crisper, fuller sound. -Battery life is bar none. -Cam resolution improved. Cons: - Only MagSafe tip is space gray (not the wire or charging block) This laptop is overkill for basics, emails and YouTube. But the Apple ecosystem effortlessly connects all my devices. If you have the means to upgrade do it, you won’t have any complaints. I just upgraded from an iMac 21.5 i5 & MSI stealth gaming laptop for business.

The battery life is amazing on this laptop! I love that you can run iOS apps on this as well. I have used this machine for graphic design, video and photo editing, and app development. I have been very pleased with the performance i have experienced so far. It's also very quiet, as it seems to run quite a bit cooler than my old Intel based MacBook Pro.

I am amazed by this MacBook and happy with the purchase. This is my first Macintosh computer ever and the ease of access and getting used to it (coming from windows) is pretty painless. I love the battery life and the screen. Would love to see more iPhone apps come to Mac however!

Forget all the YouTube crap ... this is a full fledged high performance Desktop with incredible performance and the BEST screens ever all in a portable unit ... don't hesitate or doubt it ... get one and use it.

I am really enjoying my new MacBook Pro so far. I am a professional videographer and photographer, and the M2 processor makes it much easier during the post production process. I am happy with my purchase.

Best 16 inch computer on the market hands-down no comparison battery. Life is crazy. I was rushing to the airport once New York came back home eight days later the battery life was still there three bars. This will last me at least another 8 to 10 years

I recommend buying this laptop, it has a huge screen, and the overall quality is better than Dell laptops.. Perfect for editing and work..
