Best MacBook ever. Fast and easy to use. Good battery life.

Rating: 2/5 stars As a longtime MacBook Pro user, I was excited to upgrade to the new MacBook Pro M2 16-Inch with 1TB storage and 16GB RAM. My journey with Apple laptops began in 2015, and I had nothing but positive experiences with my trusty MacBook Pro 2015 edition. However, my recent switch to the MacBook Pro M2 has left me sorely disappointed. First, let me start with the positives. The laptop's physical design is undeniably sleek and elegant, living up to Apple's reputation for premium aesthetics. The larger 16-inch screen was a welcome change from my previous laptop, offering improved visual real estate. The touchpad, as always, remains top-notch, making navigation smooth and intuitive. Additionally, the transition from the MacBook Pro to the MacBook Air 15-inch was pleasant in terms of overall feel and performance, but it lacked the storage space I needed. Regrettably, this is where the positives end and the problems begin. Despite my excitement over the technical advancements of the MacBook Pro M2, including the touted M2 chip, my experience has been far from satisfactory. In contrast to my reliable MacBook Pro 2015, the new model has proven to be weak and plagued by frequent freezes. For someone who depends on their laptop for both work and leisure, these performance issues are extremely frustrating. The freezes, often happening during multitasking or when running slightly demanding applications, disrupt my workflow and create an infuriating experience. It's baffling that a laptop bearing the "Pro" label, meant for professionals and power users, would falter in such basic tasks. The expectation with every new MacBook iteration is an upgrade in technology and performance, not a downgrade, and the MacBook Pro M2 has failed to meet this standard. Considering my previous seamless experience with Apple products, I expected to be wowed by the MacBook Pro M2. Unfortunately, this purchase has left me questioning Apple's commitment to quality.

I love my new 16” MacBook Pro. I was ready for an upgrade from my old 13” MacBook Pro. Beat decision ever.

I've never seen such quick response time in a machine. You literally click on something and it has loaded 100% in that same millisecond you clicked.

The battery on my previous MacBook Pro died. I only got 7 years and 10 months out of it. I hope this one holds up as long.

I have to be honest, I'm very disappointed with this purchase. I don't generally write reviews, but it's worth saying that the M2 chip is no faster with Lightroom or Photoshop than even a midrange PC. It's slower than my older CyberPower desktop that for those applications. Lot's of bluetooth issues, even with other Apple products. Every time I disconnect this from the laptop doc, I have to open the disk utility and remount all of my external drives manually. Apple makes great phones and tablets, but that's not the case with their laptops. The price has come down since I purchased mine, but if I could turn back time, I would have stuck with the Dell XPS15. I've owned a few over the years and they're absolute workhorses.

The hardware is amazing, the software is difficult

I have owned this device for less than a month and need to go into the Apple Store as I am already having difficulty with the performance speed and wifi connection.
