The 16" M3 Pro MacBook Pro is a great laptop for anyone looking for a powerful desktop replacement with fast performance. I'd argue it's one of the best computers ever made and certainly the best that Apple has ever made. Pros: - Build quality is industry-leading. Full aluminum chassis with some of the best keyboard and trackpad of any laptop. The new Space Black color is dark and classy and stays relatively clean even after smudges and oils get all over it. - One of the best displays on a laptop. It's sharp, colorful, responsive, and accurate. 16" allows for desktop-like experience with enough space to comfortably multitask. It also gets brighter than previous models making for working in brighter environments easier. Great real estate for video and photo editors as well. - Speakers are some of the best built-in laptop speakers. Loud and clear at any volume with great bass and instrument separation. Decent for music producers in a pinch. - MagSafe along with multiple USB-C thunderbolt ports, SD Card reader, and HDMI Port allows for multiple accessories to be used without needing an external hub. - M3 Pro processor is great for most creative and power users. I edit photos and videos as well as motion design and graphic design. This machine has been able to meet every single one of those needs. For extreme professionals and enthusiasts who will take full advantage of ray-traced rendering and additional CPU and GPU cores as well as enhanced performance with multiple demanding applications open at once, consider M3 Max. - Some of the best battery life and efficiency on a laptop. No need to worry about leaving the charger at home. I can run this for multiple days without a charge depending on what I do. Cons: - Starting price is steep at $2499 (without sales). If you're a budget-conscious buyer, consider the 14" MacBook Pro if you're still looking for performance or 15" MacBook Air if you're looking for a larger display. - Base configuration is not generous with memory and storage and paying for upgrades is pricey. It'll be fine for most people but for those wanting a bit more storage or unified memory, get ready to pay up. - 16" is not great for frequent travel or portability. It's big. It's bulky. It's heavy. Lugging this thing around consistently is just not as convenient as a 14" MacBook Pro or even any one of the MacBook Air models. TLDR; The 16" M3 Pro MacBook Pro is absolutely worth it if you're on the hunt for a powerful laptop for creatives and power users alike needing a large and beautiful display. It's a little pricey, but for the amount of power and efficiency you get, it's more than worth it. This model is more than enough for the vast majority of users, however, if you have specific needs, I would do more research to see if this is the right spec for you. A lot of this review can be applied to the 14" MacBook Pro as well and that's mainly because they're relatively very similar computers with the major difference being screen size. You don't have to sacrifice power if you want a smaller laptop. I highly recommend going into a store with both 14" and 16" demo units and seeing which one is right for you and your lifestyle before deciding on your purchase.

I've been a MacBook user for over a decade and love them. This was an upgrade purchase, going from a 13" to a 16" screen. I was a great purchase, the only two things I would change is the weight of the MacBook Pro is significantly more and I wish that apple would get with the program and make it a touch screen. Other than that, it's a solid fast laptop with amazing battery life. I went further to protect my investment by buying a hard shell cover for it. It's worth it if you're like me and drop it by accident. The other great thing about Macs is that they have a better resale/trade in value. Every penny counts when you're trying to buy a $2500 laptop. I got an amazing deal at BestBuy by joining the the Best Buy Plus membership. Got an extra $200 on top of the $500 being offered.

As an avid Apple user of all products for 20 years, this specific laptop is very fast loading, especially when using a lot of applications at the same time (as I use this primarily for work). Also, I rarely have to recharge or keep the charger plugged in...even with so many applications open and running. This is perfect for me as I sit and use it in multiple places/areas. I love the large 16" screen compared to my previous 15" screen. Almost the entire screen/display covers the full 16." The touch pad is LARGE--making it much easier to use when I'm not using a connected mouse--to right click, left click, drag, etc. See picture. Loud speakers! Great for watching videos, listening to anything. The amount of memory and storage for the price is incredible as I have A LOT of documents, applications, photos, videos, stored on the computer itself rather than having to "save things" to an Cloud and/or not having to go to the Cloud or a USB drive, and the computer still loads programs, uploads and downloads things very quickly! Highly recommend!

Great laptop, 16" MacBook Pro is a nice size to watch movies and do computer work on. The laptop is not heavy, black color looks sharp. I bought my computer with 512GB, upgraded storage with BaseQi stealth, and a microxcsd 2TB, and it works perfect. You'd never know its there. Its flushed. Sound system is decent. Cost is high, computer is fast. overall a great buy. Had the computer for less than 2 months, now November apple release M4chip. :/ Battery life last for days on sleep mode

@ $1999 sale price, this is well worth the money. The Midnight Black is really easy on the eyes (especially when viewing stuff). The up-firing speakers are super impressive, and the 16 inch screen is a reminder that there is no substitute for real estate. It's super fast, and smooth. The 14" is nice, but for my taste, the screen is just too small, so I upgraded to this 16" M3 MacBook Pro. Best Buy N Canton made it very easy to upgrade / trade-in. Very friendly and helpful staff there. I put a nice hard case on it to protect it. Keeper!

I purchased this for the increase in screen size, having moved from 15 inches to 13, and now needing something for my aging eyes. It's the best, brightest, sharpest laptop screen I've ever owned. It's a good thing that I purchased this for the screen rather than the M3 Pro chip — which is certainly an improvement over the M1 machine it's replacing, but not the spectacular upgrade Apple makes it out to be. The basic and Max M3 chips show huge performance improvements over their M2 counterparts, but the M3 Pro has little over the M2 Pro. It's almost as if Apple is gently prodding customers toward the Max options. Having 18 GB of RAM is a plus, and the no-fingerprint finish of the new Space Black finish actually works. You don't think it does until you see how smeary your other devices appear.

I Love this laptop! I upgraded from a 2017 mac book pro and I can say it was the best decision ever. I am a photographer so the big screen is awesome for editing. The display is super bright and is so easy on the eyes. As someone who uses facetime a lot, Having super clear facetime camera is a plus; especially coming from the 2017 macbook pro! over all this laptop is an awesome purchase! The battery last me sooo long and is so fast ! id recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their laptop.

Amazing laptop, speakers are phenomenal, battery life is superb. Excel is better on windows but manageable. Weight is nice for me, but may be too heavy for some. Loading and unloading can be a little difficult if you're a student traveling to-and-from classes.

The best MacBook Pro ever owned. I have been using Macs since past 13+ years. I was previously rocking 14" M1 Pro MacBook Pro. M2 did not excite me as it was still a 7nm chip and was not that big of a difference. M3 line up though, is super amazing. In many cases, it is almost 1.7x faster than M1 Pro with more optimized graphics performance. I chose the 16" model after giving it a thought. The tru performance of the chip comes out with better cooling. The battery life on 16" is also beyond words ! Recently, I enjoy larger screen real estate, for Final Cut Pro and other softwares. 14" was seeming too cramped. It was okay for normal use, but when you spend some hours on FCP, it feels cramped. 16" provided me with great screen real estate with all the other benefits like - battery life, 600 nits of brightness, space black body color, the speed and efficiency of M3 Pro. Very happy with this MacBook Pro. I was on fence to upgrade the M1 pro 14" but, the deal on BestBuy was extremely tempting. Also gave a very good deal on trade-in in comparison to other places. The Apple silicon chips are so good, this is a significant upgrade from my M1 MacBook Air. The 16" laptop is quite heavy but in my opinion, worth the large screen size and the battery life. The battery life is amazing and I can go days without charging even after using it for several hours a day mostly using browser based apps.

I have a 2020 iMac with the 10-core Intel core i9 processor, 16GB NVIDIA graphics, and 2TB SSD. I was super hesitant to get the MBP, since it is a laptop and I was editing 4K videos on a desktop. I am WOWED by the power and efficiency of the M3 chip. I can edit 4K videos at near maximum resolution. This computer is blazing fast and handles all my audio work with ease. I thought I would have to buy the Mac Studio for that. The new OS works smoothly and I use a 5K Studio Display with the laptop's monitor with ZERO lag. I love it.

This is the 3rd MacbookPro that I owned. Previously bought a 2012 15" Retina & 2017 15" as well. I've always been very happy with the performance of each one. Was a bit weary of going in on Apple Silicon, but the M3 is by far better than it's predecessors and performs at excellent levels for video editing and (if you're into music) Serato DJ and DAW applications. Those are my primary uses with this laptop and since purchasing it 3 months ago, I am very pleased with it's performance. It is slightly slower than a Windows i9-13900H laptop that I also had used, but I been all in on Apple's ecosystem combining with iPhone and iPad. Everything easily connects well together and it just works. Overall it's not the fastest in it's category but hangs in there easily with them. I'm not a avid gamer so this is perfect for me. But if you do play games, perhaps a Windows would work best for you.
