For only $150 more, you get more memory and the retina display. Apple is known for its hardware and not getting the retina display is like getting a hamburger with nothing on it. It's better than a PC because you don't need to upgrade the OS by purchase, it's free like the iPhone and you don't need virus protection. It's out of the box perfect.

Exceeded my expectations

I know that obviously I would notice a huge difference but this laptop have exceeded my expectations. I'm very picky and made my research before buying and the quality, performance and Apple's customer service made it easy to decide. Very fast and nice screen and the new track pad, awesome. I highly recommend it.

No cd drive.but found a great lg external for a good price. A little dissappointed when i heard of the limitations of the so called super drive by apple but i am pleased with the LG drive. Macbook overall ok in the short term we will see if it is as tuff and forgiving as a Dell in the long term.

Great laptop for college

It's fast, thin, light weight, easy to carry around from class to class. Everything works seemlesly, as you'd expect from an apple product. Over all really satisfied with my MacBook Pro.
