Macbook Pro Retina has a great display and battery life. It also has a wonderful quality and it is lightweight compare to similar-spec models. Fast enough to not make you upset to do your daily tasks. It may take some time to get used to keyboard shortcuts and its differences from Windows computers

Purchased for my daughter for her engineering program. Although this was recomended for the program, it will not work for most advanced CAD/CAM applications out of the box without doing some leg work. Setting up bootcamp to add windows used to be easy, these new macs seem to take forever to get it setup. Outside of bootcamp setup, it's just downright fast and quite with the SSD drive. Battery life is as advertised, I've gotten a full 10 hours between charges.

This is the perfect portable: fast, light, and the battery lasts all day.

I needed a new laptop for school and I had been in the market shopping for one in awhile. I randomly went to Best Buy one weekend and saw this in their open item section. As everyone knows Apple items are rarely marked down so I could not resist purchasing it. It is such an amazing laptop! Super light weight and easy to transport to all my classes. I have the 13 in. which is perfect because it isn't too small but not too big either. It is absolutely amazing!

The macbook pro is hands down the single greatest portable piece of equipment ive ever owned. Sleek design, suped up display!! The new os el capitane seems to be doing the job just fine. There was some uneasiness with the new os and compatibility with music interfaces. But everything works just fine. A wonderful machine that is unparalleled in every aspect

I replaced an older laptop with a new MacBook Pro. I did not know that this laptop was that much different than other laptops, but found out as soon as I started using it. The speed is awesome and the way it looks is eye appealing. Only trouble I've found with the MacBook is my wife wants to use it and well you know how,that is. Great product, love it.

Coming from a Windows system, the Macbook Pro with Retina display is a breath of fresh air. The OS is fast, intuitive and easy to transition to. The slim profile is beautiful and lightweight. Pricey compared to Windows laptops, it may be worth it if the full potential of the OS X is utilized.

Sleek in its design, effortless in its performance and unrivaled by anything else I have ever seen that has functionality in the office, home and classroom . The resolution is as clear as still waters in the Caribbean, leaving you breathless and mesmerized. The keys are responsive and yield to your touch without delay. Although lite in design, its sturdy enough to accompany its user on any trip or voyage. Don't leave the store without one

This new macbook pro is quite light-weighted and thin, and of course, powerful. The price is also good, with my student discount. However, the plug is a bit bent so it is hard to plug it into the outlet. Be sure to inspect every part when you receive it!

Pros: - Battery Life - Build Quality - Perfomance Cons: - Price - Last Generation CPU This is my first MacBook Pro, as I was always hesitant to drop that kind of money on a laptop, but I'm very glad I did. The setup was quick and painless, and the overall performance of the system is outstanding! My only concern is that it uses the last generation Intel Broadwell chip, but I knew that going into the purchase. It's also a reason why I was able to get it on sale (the annual MBP update is likely coming up soon). I don't think it will shorten the usable life of the system in any way, though. In short, I highly recommend it.

I prefer this model, because it has Retina screen and 13.3 inch which is simple carrying and light.

This is my first apple product. This macbook pro (13.3'', 8GB RAM, 256 GB flash storage) has a much better display than lenovo thinkpads. But heats up very quickly like thinkpads. It is very light and easy to use. Builtin speakers are awesome. Overall happy with the purchase.

The MacBook Pro checks off many boxes for what a great laptop should be to have a great experience. - The keyboard is good and the keys have good travel. Backlit keys are welcome. - The glass trackpad is excellent as well. It's just so smooth and allows you do many multitouch gestures on the trackpad on OS X. - Battery life: Great battery life on this machine. As long as you use Safari to browse and aren't running games, this battery actually lasts all day. - Lightweight: This machine is 3.5 lbs and is pretty lightweight considering all the tech packed into the product. - Screen: The Retina Display is great. I've come from Windows machines with high res displays and when you are used to high-res displays, you can't go back to inferior ones. Only drawback for me is some older Mac apps don't scale correctly and look pixelated. - Performance: I haven't really put it through it's paces yet but the SSD built in is fast and makes cold boot ups really quick so I can quickly start working. Overall, I've been happy with this laptop and can't find glaring weakness with this laptop. If you can afford the MacBook Pro, go for it over the Air. The retina display is reason alone to get it. For me, I bought AppleCare along with it as this is a computer that I'll be using and depending on for work, so being able to have any issues handled by Apple Store after the first year is important. I don't have to deal with the headache of being out of a computer for an extended period of time. Bottom line, this laptop is the gold standard for laptops and I highly recommend it.

This is my first Mac, after loving my iPhones 5 and now 6. Since I am not real tech savvy, I relied on family members who own MacBook Pro's to convince me that the change from a familiar PC would not be too difficult. So glad I made the leap! My first use of the Mac was to receive a 450 page document for a committee, and it handled it beautifully. I love the light weight and general sleekness. It is my "baby" and I love it!
