I recently switched from a windows based Toshiba laptop and I could not be happier. The size is perfect for using at home and for travel. The retina display is sharp, clear and so much better for reading. The best part is the start up time. My old laptop was slow and took too long just to start up. This laptop starts up within seconds and I Love the way the start up window is displayed with my favorite program icons all easily accessible at the bottom of the screen. I cannot forget the battery life. Lasts all day.

I previously had a 2009 MacBook Air and it was just getting old, so I decided it was time to upgrade. Was deciding between this and the MacBook, but really was against paying for all the converters to the USB C port. After looking at various models, I decided this was the best value for my money. This is a larger purpose for me, so I did not take lightly the extra couple hundred dollars for the larger storage, but I'm really glad I did. This laptop functions great. I have not had one problem with it. The screen is super clear and the battery life is great. I probably charge it once a week at most and I use it for several hours at a time.

I'm a college student, so when the time came for a new computer, I needed one that would be portable, stable, and appeal to all of my operational needs (like web browsing, photo editing, schoolwork, etc.). Since I had been wanting a Mac for a while, I chose to get this one. And while the price was high, I believe this was one of the best purchases I've ever made! The picture is beautiful, the MacBook Pro runs at good and stable speeds, and the operating system is wonderful in that it is much more user-friendly and that it works seamlessly with other Apple products. Also, 256GB is a perfect amount of storage for anyone who uses a computer for casual/college/amateur photo editing use. Granted, I wish it had a SuperDrive built in, but I usually use digital files and programs, so that's not really a problem. Plus, a SuperDrive can be bought as an external device, so that issue can be solved. The only con to the MacBook Pro is that the file system is a little different from other computers. Basically, on a Windows computer, the default folders are very categorical; while on Mac, the default folders are merely storage locations. For example, one Folder is "Desktop", another is "Documents", and then one is "Applications". There is no "Photos" or "Videos" folder unless you make it, and even then it's not a default folder. In conclusion, the con is merely a difference in the storage system. I would still recommend this particular MacBook to anyone who plans to use a computer in college or for amateur photo editing.

I'm on my second semester of college majoring in Computer Graphics so a MacBook is a must! I decided to go with this one because I figured the 15" model would be a little too big considering I'm going to be taking it everywhere. The 13" is the perfect portable size. Photoshop runs really smoothly on it. But things like Word for Mac also work really well (as I prefer Word over Pages, but each have their high points). I would recommend this to anyone looking to experience the best performance a laptop can offer.

Purchasing my Macbook Pro with Retina display was the best decision i could make. It is so easy to use and the battery life is wonderful! I really enjoy the retina display when editing photos, it's amazing to see the difference in a photo that I thought was clear, only to find out it really wasn't that clear. It is a wonderful product and worth the investment!

I love this laptop. My last aluminum unibody last 7+years and still looked awesome after traveling all over the world--and without even a plastic case. This model is even lighter and sleeker. With 256GB of solid state drive, it's a little small for a big photo/video library, but very sufficient for work related material and music. Great traveling buddy with whom I plan to cover lots of miles!

This is my first Mac Purchase Ever. Was Kinda hesitant at first with it only being Dual Core and lacking a dedicated Graphics Card. I for one am not a gamer and nor to I do a lot of intensive work that would require a lot of horsepower, so I decided this would be the best median for me. Ended up pulling the trigger and bought this bad boy. It was on sale for $1349.99 and I had a 10% off coupon, so needless to say, I only paid $1214.99 plus State Tax. The best decision ever. The battery on this thing last forever. 2-3 times what any normal Windows Laptop would last, even outdoing most 2-in-1 Ultrabooks. If you're hesitant on buying this solely based on the price, just do it. It's well worth the investment, and I feel it will last me a while. Just a little tip when Buying from Best Buy, every other week they offer discounts on all Apple Products. So it may be $1499.99 one week, but can drop to $1349.99 the next. Sale prices change every Sunday. And trust me when I say this, Once you go Mac, you'll never go back.

I was terrified to spend so much money on a computer, but I am so glad that I did. I have always loved the look and idea of MacBooks, but I knew it would be a pretty big change from a desktop PC. It is lightweight and quick to turn on and get going on projects. As someone who likes to create music and videos/slideshows,my favorite features that this computer has are GarageBand and iMovie. I can get done what took hours on my Windows Movie Maker in half the time. While I still have a lot to discover, I thoroughly enjoy using this product and highly recommend it.

I am very late to the Apple laptop market and have spent a lot of time reading reviews, testing out the MacBook Pro, and asking questions of three different Apple retailers before purchasing this laptop. I have used it for about a month now and absolutely feel I made the right choice. The battery life, retina display, and OS X operating system have far exceeded my expectations.

I had the previous version of this product of which i had to give to my daughter because her laptop stopped working 5 days before she had to go back to college. Of which I got aprox $1100 in credit from Best Buy. This model went on sale the week i bought it and had some rebate money from my insurance company, so basically it was nothing out of pocket. I'm very happy with MBP Retina, almost immediate from powering up to use, getting 5-6 hours of battery usage, and the screen is sharp with good colors. I would highly suggest this product to anybody interested.

I needed a computer for school and this computer does everything I need. For me, I wasn't used to having an apple computer so at first it was confusing but it was extremely straight forward and easy to get the hang of. I did not want an extremely thin computer that I was always scared of breaking and this computer is the perfect size and the Retina Display makes the screen look extremely clear and it is easier to look at because there is no glare.

I love my new Macbook Pro. I've wanted to purchase a apple computer for a few years now, but was always hesitant due to the price. My last to PC's only lasted me a couple of years and it was very disappointing. I was in debate between an Air or the Pro. I finally decided on the Pro and even paid a little more just for the 256GB. I figured If I'm going to be spending the money, it's worth getting the retina, and enough storage to last me a while. Apple makes wonderful laptops and I am extremely satisfied I finally purchased one. Sometimes an iphone or ipad can only give me so much. It's nice to just use a laptop and a quality one at that. Also loved the price at Best Buy, saved me like $75. May not seem like a ton, but $75 is $75! If you're considering a macbook pro, you won't be disappointed.

I updated from a seven year old MacBook Pro to this new device. It is lightweight and sleek in appearance. The screen has crisp optics and the keyboard and mousepad are easy to use. Battery life appears to be better than in the past and I notice the machine does not get as hot after long periods of use as my old MacBook Pro did. It is a great machine!

This computer exceeded my expectations. After always using PC's for work and home, I decided to switch to a Mac and was a little weary as I wasn't sure if I would have a hard time "re learning" a new system. However, it was a breeze!!! I'm loving my MacBook Pro, the 13.3 screen is big enough to see while being compact enough to take on the go. I use to have 17" Pc Laptop which was a pain to lug around. Great buy, great laptop!!!
