This lightning speed Macbook Pro is worth an investment. Yes it is costly, but with its 16 GB RAM and the powerful 4th Gen quad-core Intel Core i7processor and all flash storage, you can plan it to use for at least 3 years from now. I get the data that I need 4 times faster from the internet than any other laptop I have used. This tells me that its the machine that matters and not always the internet speed. Apple always is a 'no hassle' as long as you know how to use and it is very classy too. I am not detailing the tech specs here but I have to mention that a 15.4 inch is definitely better than 13.3. The 802.11ac Wi-Fi seems to have brought in huge improvements in internet reception and speed. Haven't used the Thunderbolt 2 but I'm excited about it. The display is awesome, keyboard is great, battery is not bad. The edges of this mac are sharp and your wrists are in constant touch with a sharp knifelike edge. This is not a issue after I have got a new case. I have been using an IPAD for almost 2 yrs which has an app and touch based interface -but this is more closer to a conventional laptop. So please understand and expect the difference in the usage when you buy it. Trackpad is very nice, but I've read that the apple mouse is a great add on with a macbook and makes your work much easy. I'm planning to use my bestbuy gift certificate to get the apple mouse. Have to say, the best buy experience has been awesome. They got me the best possible return policy and the price match options for some length of my purchase which covered the thanksgiving period. Overall I am very happy with my macbook pro and best buy has always been great to me!

I've been a windows pc user for a long time , switching to mac is a quite different at first but im sure as days goes by ..i can manage. i brought this mac pro suppose to be an anniversary gift for my wife coz she is a teacher. i love every inch of it, the camera , the keyboard, mouse pad, and its blazing fast for a 16 gb Ram. order it at bestbuy Riverdale. DJ, the store manager is very nice ,accommudating & helpfull to answer to all my querries.Special mention to De Vaun, as well who help and stood by me till this pc was order . Over all i got the pc that i wanted for a long time and got the excellent service too from the manager and staff of Riverdale Best buy. Kudos guys !!!

It works great, and especially like the Geek Squad and Webroot that I bought with it. The Geek Squad is really helpful day or night. The reason this product is not a 5 is because I am having trouble signing onto Icloud, but will straighten it out when I have a moment to call. They straightened out some other problems remotely before with imail.

I am and have been an Apple loyalist for many years and needed to upgrade my previous 13" MacBook for a newer model, so I opted to spring for the 15.4" MacBook Pro with Retina display. I was really wanting the power of its quad-core processors along with its 16GB of RAM for performance sake, but I have been in love with the screen and feel of the laptop itself. And I haven't been let down one bit with regards to its performance: it seamlessly handles everything I've thrown at it. I couldn't be happier with it, and I would eagerly recommend it to anyone.

I love my macbook pro its my first mac computer and i couldn't be happier. its fast the graphic are amazing its crystal clear honestly. For years I wanted to get a mac but do to the price Id always just walk away however since my previous computer broke i too the plunge best decision ever. I'm done with pc's for good.

This Mac is AWESOME! Im a graphic design student and this laptop runs my programs with ease! Even though its pricey, its worth it, especially for people with design careers.

The new MacBook's are fast and powerful. It's a joy to use. Coming from a Windows PC background it's just nice to use a laptop/computer of any kind that works every time you turn it on. It's also lightweight, fast and full of fantastic features. All my apple products sync up seamlessly right out of the box so I'm never without my stuff no matter which one I've got on me. iPhone, iPad or MacBook.

THIS COMPUTER HAS SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS. I PURCHASED IT PRIMARILY FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION USING LOGIC PRO. WITH 16GB OF RAM, IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP, FAST AND STABLE. THE ONLY NEGATIVE WOULD BE HARD DRIVE CAPACITY. I HAVE NUMEROUS VST PLUGINS AND SAMPLES SO LOGIC TAKES UP NEARLY 100GB OF THE 250GB SSD HARD DRIVE. THIS WAS EASILY COMPENSATED FOR WITH THE PURCHASE OF A WD 2TB USB 3.0 HDD. IT'S A LITTLE INCONVENIENT FOR PORTABILITY PURPOSES BUT I STILL DON'T THINK THAT I WOULD HAVE PAID THE $700 MORE FOR THE 1GB OF STORAGE FOR THE UPGRADED MACBOOK. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT THE VIDEO CARD IS CAPABLE OF HANDLING SOME OF MY STEAM GAMES THAT BOTH MY KIDS AND I LIKE, SUCH AS PORTAL 2 AND FARMING SIMULATOR. THE RETINA DISPLAY IS FANTASTIC, CRISP AND BRIGHT. OH, BY THE WAY, I HAVE BEEN A PC GUY FOR YEARS. BUT MICROSOFT HAS RUINED MY OPINION OF PC'S WITH WINDOWS 8.1. THE TRANSITION TO A MAC HAS BEEN A LITTLE ROCKY, BUT I'M FINDING THAT ALL OF THE APPLICATIONS THAT I PREVIOUSLY USED ARE COMPATIBLE WITH A MAC. NOW I JUST NEED TO GET USED TO THE "CONTROL", "OPTION", AND "COMMAND" FUNCTIONS. NO BUYERS REMORSE HERE. I'M GLAD I PAID THE EXTRA FOR A MAC. I AM CERTAIN THAT THE COMPUTER WILL BE USEFUL AND ADEQUATE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

This is my first Apple laptop and I am loving the many features it has. The Retina display offers clear and crisp images. I may have several tabs open, but it does not slow it down. The mouse pad offers many multi uses. It is quite light and love the almost-white keyboard backlight. I had a Toshiba laptop prior to this purchase, but since owning an iMac desktop; it was not hard to jump to the decision of buying the laptop.

I have used Apple products since 2004, and my favorite item was my 2009 MacBook pro. I have used it almost everyday for school, personal use, movies, music, and everything else you can imagine. I had no problems with my old computer except that at 6 years old, it was needing a new battery, more ram, etc. I fell in love with the 15" retina display and knew it needed to be the next computer in my collection. I use it everyday in graduate school and the speed is impeccable. The battery life is longer than my previous MacBook and I can go 12 hours without needing to charge. I previously had a 13" and was a little hesitant to upgrade to the 15", but Apple always works wonders with the construction of their products, and this computer is no exception. The portability is almost the same of a 13" computer, yet you still get the beautiful display and size of the 15". I couldn't be happier with this computer and can assure you that you won't find anything better.

I love everything about my MacBook Pro. I got it to replaced my 7 year old pink Sony Vaio I got while I was in college. Everything I do now is automatically synced with my iPhone and iPad, which makes working from home so much easier. The Retina display is beautiful. It is lightweight for being 15.4". TONS of memory. ZERO complaints!

Pros: Easy to use Cons: Price... The Macbook is everything you expect from Apple. Easy to use, easy to setup, great design. There's certainly a lot to like about this MacBook, and it's a good model, but the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display is simply better. This one has a smaller screen, though it still looks great thanks to the Retina Display. It comes with an Intel i7 processor for better performance.

I've been gradually converting to Apple products in lieu of Windows after several years and find this laptop to be a perfect fit. It's light, thin and compatible with my iPhone and mini-iPad. It's much faster than my old Windows unit which is only 4 years old. I like the size of the screen as well, not too small and not too large.

Fantastic retina display. 16GB now standard RAM is much appreciated. Plenty fast for everyday photo and film editing. 256 base SSD is...ok. Battery life is good, but could be better.

An amazing computer with a great sleek design. The best part is you open the box, turn on the computer, enter your computer's name, and bam it's all ready to go, no slow and laggy third party apps to uninstall (eBay, McAffe, Norton, etc) Apple has the Operating system ready to go with no catch at all. Plus it being an Apple computer it is close to impossible to catch any kind of virus, so no anti-virus or malware software is needed. This laptop is fast, dependable, and looks amazing. It is well worth the money.... What are you reading this review for? Go get the laptop, hurry! :)

Display is very good. It is fast and capable. Battery life is reasonable if not under heavy load. Only thing is the video card - it seems sometimes the NVDA card not kicking in for heavy graph rendering as expected - I am not familiar with it and still experimenting. Overall it is very good

I am not big fan of apple product however I have to admit that macbook pro is from another dimension. Epsc with crystal clear retina display and fast processor. Great for graphic design program or just to watch HD movie online Also must buy on black Friday sales since I got $300 off

Easy to use right out of the box, retina display is gorgeous, love the 15" since they no longer make the 17" version. Much lighter than my 2007 MacBook Pro. Very sleek.

This is my first Mac laptop. I regret nothing about making the switch from PC to Mac. Windows 8 is (in my opinion) a downgrade from windows 7 being that it is almost 2 separate operating systems. I compared the Mac to several convertible laptops from HP and Lenovo. While they were portable, they didn't stack up to the build quality and specs of the MacBook. The battery life is longer, the screen is nicer, and the storage is larger. My only wish is that Apple would make their external superdrive a blu ray writer.
