Apple has really made the new Mac Books fantastic. Slimmer, better screens, memory, etc., all work very well. I chose the biggest model-the fifteen to use as a portable desk top, and for its size it's still easy to lug around. Got it on sale on BestBuy.com and had it delivered to the store for pickup. Saved $200 vs Apple Store and it was easy breezy. Great product, great retail experience.

My new laptop is sleek, and fast. So much faster than my last laptop. Probably the longest amount of time spent was some of my current software updating to match the new system. Great battery life and lots of touchpad and screen customizations to personalize what I use constantly. My favorite setting is touching the touchpad instead of clicking. Much quieter when the children or my husband are dozing next to me. I also love the hard screen that I can actually touch to clean!

Retina screen is beautiful and really enjoying Yosemite,SSD boots fast and with all the memory I run any of my programs and virtual machines with no hiccups. The only negative is the lack of ports but that's pretty much any of the newer thin electronics. Easily accomplished if you need them with extra peripherals. I've slowly integrated into the "Mac Cult" and have yet to be disappointed in a product. They are expensive but you are getting what you pay for IMHO.

Absolutely love the new 15" MBP. I had previously purchased an open-box 15" MBP from Best Buy a few years ago but decided to upgrade to the thinner model with the Retina display and Solid State Drive (SSD). Although my older MBP had the same amount of RAM (16GB), this machine is much faster due to the SSD.

Always thought Apple was over-hyped, but if anything, it's even better than that! Fell in love with this computer from the first second we turned it on. Graphics are incredible and ease of use is is becoming more apparent with every keystroke. Although transferring everything from the old PC is laborious due to the many years of saving just about every document, it just increases our feelings that this was the best technology move we ever made!

This laptop is so easy to use and lightweight. Screen is large enough to see. Everything clearly.

I've owned 2 other Macbook Pro's. They always work great and last so much longer than any PC would. I am even happier with this one. I didn't think the retina display would really matter but I was surprised at the difference. It was easy to make the transition from one to another. The customer service at Best Buy was also outstanding and I got a great deal on this computer and an Airport Extreme. Once you go MAC, you never go back!

This is a great laptop for the following reasons. - Excellent performance - One of the best keyboards on the market - Trackpad has a great feel / super responsive The only negative is the high price, but my last macbook pro I had for about 5 years and I was able to sell it for a reasonable amount. Also, these laptops tend to go on sale every once in a while, I was able to get mine for $300 less than the apple store price.

I know its a lot of money but it is definitely worth it. I came from a 2008 macbook which broke on me this year so i decided to go with the 15in laptop and i absolutely love it the 16gb of ram make it easy to have so many TABS AND APPS OPEN WITH NO LAGS! Its still portable to carry everywhere but big enough to watch a movie and work on projects comfortably if you are debating like me if its worth it trust me it is!!!

What a great laptop, I had a 17" that was long in the tooth and needed to be replaced, I am amazed at the speed and the display of this laptop! Granted the SSD and Retina display have a lot to do with it but the built in camera is outstanding! Amazing picture quality on it!

Love the Apple - MacBook® Pro - 15.4" Display - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 256GB Flash Storage - Silver. I bought one of these December 2014 and it was stolen March 2015, so I replaced it with the updated model which includes w/"force touch", updated IRIS Graphics and a upgraded SSD. I started on Apple BASIC on a Apple //e w/128K RAM that I bought way back in 1985. I still own my Apple //e, it still works perfectly (Y2K was a farce). Switched to Windows in the early 1990's due to my University Indra-Net not being Apple friendly. Then over the years all business applications at my various jobs required use of Windows. To be honest, since Windows ME and my introduction to the "blue screen of death". I haven't cared for Windows much, yet had no alternative. Enter OSX Yosemite, WOW! It freaking completely destroys my beloved Windows 7 PRO 64-bit (best Windows version made). It took me about 2 weeks to fully get my mind "flipped" to the left for things like "minimize/close windows" and to learn the gestures on the trackpad and the one or two click system, but now it's hard to go back and use Windows...lol OSX is a infinitely more stable OS, which does not degrade in performance over time like Windows does. Much cleaner programming than Windows. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE WHO CLAIMS THAT MAC'S DO NOT GET VIRUSES OR MALWARE --- THAT IS A LIE !!! Best AV I have found is AVAST FREE (uses very little resources)! The ABSOLUTE WORST is WebRoot, DO NOT INSTALL IT, it is GARBAGE!

This is my first MacBook, as I've had nothing but PCs all my life. I have to say I was very intrepid to buy a Mac as they are quite pricey but as I am starting a new business in the creative field, every single person recommended buying a Mac. Got a good price on an 'open box' so I took the plunge. i really like it but after 2 months am still learning to use it. Some things are better set up than a PC but other things are not intuitive at all. Basically, different strokes for different folks. If you're in media or something creative, buy a Mac, and you won't be sorry, but if you're in another industry, go for a PC. You get all you need for less money.

I bought this for my mom as her first Mac and a major upgrade from her ancient PC laptop. She is absolutely in love with it and uses it all the time. She initially struggled with adjusting to it (as we all do when using an apple product for the first time) but now has the hang of it and the laptop works quickly and efficiently, without any speed or graphics issue to speak of. Definitely worth the price!

I bought this laptop because I had been using a pc and it had just gotten old and slow. This is a MAJOR upgrade. streams internet very fast, wonderful speakers, beautiful display, great battery life. it's everything I want all in one laptop

This is my third MacBook Pro and first with a solid-state drive. Boot time is roughly 6 seconds. I use it heavily on the daily basis to write software applications and 16GB of RAM is just perfect. It's connected to a 24" Samsung display via HDMI, which carries both video and audio signals to the monitor, reducing the number of cables on the desk. The Retina display very sharp, bright with perfect colors.

I am a diehard Mac fan. This is my second MacBook Pro. It's replacing a four year old MacBook Pro - that's a long time to have a computer! And it is a workhorse. I am a graphic designer, and I have really put my old computer through a lot in the past four years. This newer model is quicker and I love the Retina screen!

This is a great computer. Plenty of RAM and fast processor. Crystal clear screen.
